Can confirm, spent a million years trying to figure out what newt altar does, before and after i got my first coin. Also, yeah artificer is pretty thicc
Finding the teleporter quicker than 20 minutes on the 2nd playthrough seems kinda in accurate to me. Mostly small unnoticeable things that werent the focus of the video though
I was really expecting a tutorial when I pressed new game, so I was a little spooked. I was also wondering how to throw the stun grenade before I died to the stone titan
Get it off sale, give hopoo money :( Jk get it on sale if you want but it's definitely worth it already for the price it is now, I'm reaching 500hrs and still not bored
I know I'm late but pls also give Risk of Rain 1 a chance. It has a lot of similiar mechanics but the playstyle is really different and also quite enjoyable! Plus imo the music is much better in the first game :)

I bought this game thanks to your recommendations, and I dont regret it. I may or may not have crippling anxiety around circular stone platforms with two curved spikes.
I started reading item descriptions immediately And once I figured out that I could look at the descriptions of all the items in the bar on top of the screen I did that all the time too.
Still proud of my first ever run. My knowledge of the game was limited to "Get items to survive. Get to the teleporter. Make it quick, or you'll die." Back then there was no Mithrix or Commencement stage. Got to... I dunno what stage number, but I did loop once because that was going to be the second time I saw that snowy area. At this point, I took far too long to get to where I was. I was I think a little over one hour into the run. The last boss almost kicked my sorry ass up into the sky from where I came from. THIS boss was surely going to finish that idea, so I just decided to... stick around. I knew I was going to die, so I would at least try to hold out as long as possible. Died at around 1 hour 20 minutes, I believe. Absolutely swarmed by bullet sponges and elite types. ...It was a good run. "Oh boy, new character! Is the huntress! Imma try!" and then I immediately fucking die because a golem decided that I should be a pancake. First stage, 3 minutes in. I love this game.
2:13. First time I saw a newt thing was after about 3 hours of experience and saw it in the disconnected part of the tree in the forest 4th stage when I was jumping through
My partner and I decided to play this last year by seeing the screenshots and gameplay. We got our butts kicked on stage 2 over and over before we came back to it this year and delve into items and lore. Now we almost have all unlockable items, every survivor, and beat it multiple times. This game is sooooo good
Man, my first run on this game was just me exploring until I found the teleporter, but I wanted to stay until a boss spawned. So I naturally waited 40 minutes before getting bored of waiting and finally activated the teleporter... only to realize that that was how to get the boss to spawn.
The 1.0 update just came out for ps4 and as a person who has been playin when old guillotine was a white item it was very fun also I am the captain now
-Spawn -Spend 10-20 minutes in the Wetlands trying to find the teleporter while driving space jellyfish to extinction -Spend 10-20 minutes in every stage collecting money because youre now item obsessed -Become God -Die to your hubris as the entire population of Sky Meadows devours you At least this is my gameplay process idk
Lmao! Windette, this is so accurate it's hilarious! Especially the bit about chance shrines! Can you do one of these for each survivor in Risk of Rain 2? 😃
So basically my first day In Risk Of Rain 2 is also my first day playing video games and I don't have enough awareness to notice the item description for the first couple of times.
Quite accurate, except you keep getting terrible items at the start and after getting swarmed by Beetle Queens and guards on the first teleporter, you switch to Huntress and beat Mithrix on your second run.
I have played this game for 600 hours during the posting of this comment. I literally cannot even remember what playing this game without having every proc coefficient of every weapon and item and every placement of every newt on every map is. I do remember discovering how much easier it is to find the teleporter when you recognize there's a bunch of little red motes floating around it
I remember when I first started playing risk of rain it took me forever to get past stage two or three because I spend wayyyyyyyyyy too much time looting. I still have that same habit, I've just gotten a lot faster at it.
I was new a couple of days ago (played nonstop since then) and this is so accurate to my first time. Had my little brother try this gane and he died on stage 4 against the grandparent (guess what attack he died to?)
From what I rember the final boss bring most of the things we fight in the games to the planet I junk the only think from the planet are the worms and the final bosses
My first time in ror2 was very interesting! First run: Dead on the first teleport boss Second run: Still is the longest run, ive ever done in ror2. Lots of different items, and well, I was thinking that: "Hey, maybe I will beat the game second try!" And then... I've discovered a portal to a lunar shop at the last stage... Being stupid Ive thought: "These coins are rare! I will keep them for the better time"... Ive entered the portal and Ive realised that Ive got teleported back to the beginning... IVE BEEN RUNNING THROUGH THAT HELL WITH HIGH LVL MOBS, WITH LOW DMGING GUNS UNTIL STAGE 3-4! And then ive gave up, cuz it was 2 am... I love this game...
"Can you stop shooting me? I'm trying to think here." 200 hours in and I still think this regularly.
How’d you think that when they keep shooting at you
@@spaghetti3870And then he got shot again for thinking that.
Can confirm, spent a million years trying to figure out what newt altar does, before and after i got my first coin. Also, yeah artificer is pretty thicc
And once you got the right ability arificer is awesome
@@isacfelix1278 I have a question. Is there a way to make artificers primary attack have more compacity? I find it very clunky.
ayo? 🤨
This game lets you do what you want, become a god, a masochist or both at the same time
Or you can be plant
REX
The accuracy is uncanny. Also; the item selections make me unreasonably angry.
hahahaa I was grinding my teeth when I was picking up shield gens dude xD
I was fucking pissed when you took a shield gen over crit glasses
Nothing unreasonable about it lol.
I was lucky, I started playing with friends. Never played on Drizzle until I just wanted to see how far I could get
Finding the teleporter quicker than 20 minutes on the 2nd playthrough seems kinda in accurate to me. Mostly small unnoticeable things that werent the focus of the video though
Can confirm, those were the questions I asked, and the comments I said to the adds that kept on peppering me
Hahahahaha
The fact that the bison steak was still called "fresh meat" at the time of this video releasing caught me off guard
5:57 this pains me greatly
Just started playing, very accurate
Vewy accuwate
Yep. Can confirm this was my first day, only I got lost in swamp on stage 2 and died. 10/10 i did play again... for 600 hours.
pog
this is so so accurate, I love it. Have run trough the game with heaps of new players and this is exactly what they are like every time.
I was really expecting a tutorial when I pressed new game, so I was a little spooked. I was also wondering how to throw the stun grenade before I died to the stone titan
I really need to get this game next sale.

Your cadence throughout this video reminds me of caddicarus’s early videos
Kinda relatable RoR1 and 2 are one of the only games that I've went in before even knowing what it was also love it

Thank you!
This is hilarious! But I also just love how this whole video could be summed up with, "Or I've played Risk of Rain 1 before"
just discovered this video and damn it still relatable even in newest patch

As a ror2 veteran,
Yes.

And I played monsoon for my first time thinking it was relatively tame after a “few” attempts
I remember having so much trouble trying to find the teleporter at the start
if i had one wish, it would be to discover risk of rain 2 for the first time again.
7:43 meme potential right here
This is painful but true.
you really captured the experience of being God and then dying 1 second later
I love how accurate this is.
The first few hours of Risk of Rain 2 can be simplify in "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS THING AND WHY HES KILLING ME?!"
I’m 800 hours deep, I’ve played since launch, I’ve forgotten what a time before was like
"Can you stop shooting me? I'm trying to think here"
- Every RoR2 player ever
the "this things gotta be good" at the psg is so accurate and infuriating
Tri tip dagger printer on the first time ? MAMA THIS IS A WIN
i don't know why
but eventually once you get like 200 something shield generators it's worth it
FACTS
looks at shield gen "well this thing gotta be good"
dude fights beetle queen and didnt complain about beetle gaurds, fuqqing legend
I keep coming back to video since I just started play RoR2

My first day in ROR2 consisted of getting obliterated by Wandering Vagrants over and over.
Only thing missing is using shrine of combat and dying instantly after it spawns 5 fire elites
