Looking forward to seeing the downpipe install. I just sold a 2021 Miata RF that i really liked but was underpowered, then after searching for a replacement, just picked up a 2024 Supra 3.0... stratosphere blue too! Been a viewer since your Miata videos and great to see these Supra videos. Keep em coming!
My understanding is that the ND2 ECU was cracked, but the fuel injectors don't put out as much pressure as the ND1 injectors did. There's already a supercharger kit available for the ND2 but there are fueling issues above 6,000 RPM that they're trying to work out.
Good video! I previously made some wood (low-profile) ramps from 6x6 lumbar. Once I drive up on these, I jack the front, install ramps, then do the same at the rear. I added a block of wood onto the floorjack saddle to clear the differential's cooling fins. Another faster option is to get a hydraulic lift.
@@TheLemonFactor They are occasionally on sale at Costco. I still have a bit over another year of a free oil change after one to be scheduled in November. Before the third annual oil change, a lift should be part of my tool selection.
@@TheLemonFactor I agree with the eyeroll. However, having just driven a 2023 Supra(I was looking to purchase one), I was shocked as to how poorly this car drives. It seems like it's going to need a lot of money put into the suspension to have it handle properly and the throttle response is poor. I've read on the forums it's better with traction controlled turned off. I also didn't like the fake engine noise, transmission tuning, low visibility, difficulty of ingress and egress and over exaggerated crackles and pops in sport mode; however those are subjective. It did remind me a lot of the z4 m40i. It is a beautiful looking car though.
@hamsterbrigade That's pretty ironic considering majority of people I know who have one, and almost all the car reviews of the Supra find it excellent for the track bone stock with minor issues like road feeling through the steering wheel. Even more so for those that went from Auto to manual finding it to be a completely different vehicle. I have a 24 manual and this thing is on rails. If you compare it to its apparent rival the Nissan Z this thing outclasses the z in terms of handling. In this price range this vehicle is absolutely excellent for the cost and the b58 has proven to be reliable and make a lot of power inexpensively. If I had to pick any other vehicle close to this price range the Type R pretty much trumps this, or GR86 while be it slower, has a more raw feeling better for track purists
@@JPTinioMedia just picked up my 2024 Manual and i must say it is awesome only words i have. no idea what hampterbrigade is talking about. it is almost to refined or sorted. waht i mean by that is driving say a Porsche. i dubb a rattle can. so much fun and you feel it all. the Supra is just too good hard to tell under steer or over steer it just goes. not sure where the break out point is. I came from a Genesis coupe fully modded dyno at 400 whp. that one i could tell where the breaking point is. LOL

Thank you for the continued support 👍😁. Congratulations on your new Supra 🎉. I’m hoping the downpipe will add a little more, hp, but we’ll see 🤞
Unfortunately no turbo kits currently available for ND2 Miatas. Still love my 2019 RF here in Colorado Rockies.
@kentcurrie7326 any reason why they still haven’t released one yet?
@@TheLemonFactor No one has yet reverse engineered the ND2 ECU, as I understand it.

very good video, now i need the jacks stand lol
😁👍

A hydraulic lift would certainly help out a lot - and I have considered it 🤔👍

...the easiest solution is to use ramps instead of standard jacks.
Although the ramps may not give you the height you need - you may still need to jack the car up to place it on stands 🤷♂️
You should put a 2J in it, because it’s still a BMW at the end of the day.
🙄
