Fuel Pump Replacement for ‘03 RSX

- The RSX had a crack in the fuel pump and REACKED like gas inside the car. Took a week for the part to come in😒 and in the mean time I unfortunately had to drive it. I got yelled at trying to install it lol, but its super quick and easy. Hope the video helps!
By any chance did you have any issues with the fuel gauge reading properly or do you know it takes time for it to adjust?
No, the fuel gauge worked fine after it was replaced.
Nice my rsx type s was leaking too I did a pressure test through the fuel tank and it would leak through the top lol time for a new pump today 03 Ssm type S lol
Where did you smell gasoline coming from the most? my 04 Rsx has just recently started to reek of gasoline and kinda drives me insane im not exactly sure what the issue is but a local mechanic took a look under thr car and said the issue was the fuel pump
It took me a while to figure out where it was coming from. At first it was a really bad smell outside my car that I was able to smell from the back end. After it got extremely worse I just took a wild guess and took out my seat from the back. If you take off your back seat (it’s not hard at all) you’ll definitely be able to see if there is a crack on the fuel pump. Plus the smell will get worse and stronger once you take off the seat.
I just checked my fuel pump, it was very easy to access and yea it’s cracked pretty good looks like ur old one so now I’m waiting on a new one, this video helped a lot thank you guys
What fuel pump brand did you use and is it still working?
Honestly I got this one off of eBay, it had a lot of good reviews so I took the chance. It is still working properly and I have no issues.
