My dad RIP was a captain on the Trident aircraft 1965-1974. He loved flying it. Sometimes he cruised at M0.95. Very fast aircraft. First aircraft certified for CAT3 C zero visibility landing.
Cleaner - and quieter as well - the jets in this clip were much noisier than todays jets It was because of noise issues many trident aircraft were withdrawn after less than 15 years operational life
As a youngster in the 70s I'd fly to and from Switzerland on Tridents,,fond memories so much so I purchased 2 trident posters along with VC10 poster directly from British Airways cpl years ago,,,,,big hi to fans of this channel,,,

I use to love watching the tridents taking off at Heathrow!! Condolences to you and your family❤
Look at how much soot there is! Amazing how much more efficient jets have become.

Still by far the most polluting form of travel, highly inefficient.

Those were the days.
I like an aircraft with a T-tail and rear engines.
Just about remember flying in the 70s - the noise at the airport made your ears bleed!

Sounds like cockpit chatter with ATC in the background.
Its check listing with F/O and F/E
It's unlikely that the captain of the Trident would be chatting to Heathrow air traffic controllers when he's preparing to take off from Amsterdam :-)
A roaring jet! Like Godzilla after taking laxatives!
