For me, Shogun II - Fall of the Samurai is by far the best tota war game I‘ve (and Japan isn‘t even my favorite setting). The fact that you rated it based on it‘s pricing (which says NOTHING about the game quality) is disappointing.
Attila is great, but it's just not really for everyone. It's just some people prefer a more smaller campaign (Shogun and Thrones of Britannia), some prefer more role playing (Warhammer, troy, Three kingdoms), some prefer hardcore history (Shogun, Rome, Napoleon, Attila, Medieval), some prefer roman history, some loves crusade, some loves gunpowder warfare. I guess it entirely depends on the historical era you actually like tbh.
I have been a TW games fan since 2014, and this list resonates most with me minus the medieval 2, Rome 1, Empire and Napoleon which I have never played. I have just purchased a new rig to Play Warhammer 3 since I have been playing Warhammer 2 and never upgraded to 3. I am really Excited XD
How you have so much good content with low subscribers? Also I think it’s a really good tier list but I really enjoyed playing Rome 2 and Warhammer 2 and 3
@@HolyRedEye Outside of the obvious ones, i.e. better camera, immersive ranged death animations, provinces panel enhanced, cataph's shield icons, etc. it really depends on what you are looking for in a TW title. I think you were unfair on Fall of the Samurai, as I'm typing this I'm sitting here with the game's case on my lap. Total War Shogun 2 Fall of the Samurai Limited Edition with in red on the back "Does not require the base game Total War Shogun 2 to play.". @@TheMateuszek19 That’s awesome! Total War is a great series. Medieval 2 is a great classic to start with and is relatively simple. Warhammer 3 is much more complex but also more varied and epic. Definitely a great one if Fantasy or Warhammer is your thing, but I’d also very much recommend Warhammer 2 as I believe it has the best factions and that you can then play in Warhammer 3. Essentially it’s one big game. Also I’d really recommend Shogun 2! My personal favorite historical TW.
Three kingdoms did so many things right, but the battles did become kinda meh because everybodies armies were the same and was pretty much have your shieldwall hold the enemy and then let your cav destroy them. Specially coming from tw 2 battles
Atilla TW, its the best historical TW, the felling in that game, that aproaching apocalypse its golden. The objective its to survive, not to win.Just like a real war, a real battlefield. It;s great. Never traied the Warhhamer triology, maybe i will. With what game of the 3 should i begin ?
War hammer series is the best of all times total war, no questions asked. Now I just don't understand how meadevil is in the highest rank here, camera controls are horrible and graphics look to old for this period to have fun playing this game. I have try to get into this game many times because people rate this game as one of the best but, this one just doesn't work for me. I think it deserves B or C.
Empire could have been good, but i think they missed the mark by not including a historical story behind the game. It was more of a chess board of set pieces and surface level factions. The tech tree makes the pacing of the game, rather than following historical relevant triggers like in medivel 2. That would have added to the gameplay of which faction you pick, becuase they get a bonus for having a researcher or engineer or business tycoon. The lack of depth in the family tree system when royal families were the pinnacle of society. The game lacked grace, emotion, immersion, information, educative motives, depth and percision. It felt rushed and incomplete. Units were muddy, and sluggish, poorly animated. They invested little in simulating large scale battles, the physics, the sounds, the impact of concussion. Imagine peter jackson using green screen instead of natural geography. Thats what empire is. A green screen of histroy.
Maybe they needed to merge troy and pharao bronze age and make it even bigger with civs from india , and or other areas like china or north europe….any bronze civ can be in the game . And even add like rome 2 periods like expansions…..
It was the lack of battle improvements that makes it lack luster for me. They should have incorporated a deeper take on military tactics impacting army organization. It was their chance to highlight the foundation of military tactics employed in ancient battles. Over time improving your armies from bands of roaming warriors, to ancient line battles. They didn't focus in the beginning of industry. And global commerce. It exists in the game sure, but to me poorly implemented as it doesn't reflect any total war model to engage the player in game player, rather than screens and screens and more screens of information.
Thrones of britannia has the best battles in the total war series but many of the big total war streamer hatedet on it thats why nobody is playin gthis hidden gem Total war warhammer i can't get into it i have spend 55 hours in it its not for me but I must say it runs well but Warhammer have destroyed total war games Finally 3K get some love its so good i enjoy that game Realistic and both positive and negative view of the games
