This thing is pretty awesome. My video shooter drives a mid 00s X5 and refuses to concede that modern CarPlay is better than his ancient iDrive. Stubborn guy! Gotta send him this. Nice video, Miles.

@@CarswithMiles your channel is about to blow up do what you’re doing and I promise you you will be able to hit 100 K very soon i’m better at giving advice on UA-cam then actually doing it myself lol every time I give advice to someone they end up getting to 100k by the end of the year i’m stuck at 200 because I play video games and that’s kind of a hard demographic to appeal to people but you’re picking the Think you’ll like which is definitely a huge help in making UA-cam videos!

I'm looking at this for my 2022 Supra primarily for Android Auto. I didn't see it much in this vid. How well does the Android Auto interface run? Is it fairly smooth? Lastly do you know the average cost out the door including install? Great review! Thank you

I have ordered it couple of days ago, I am worried I might not install it myself as I tried prying carefully with tools and its not very responsive to prying. Will probably pay some dealer to install it. How is the USB connection sound? Is it better than the wireless one? I have issue that satellite radio has more power than bluetooth audio so I hope the wired sound will fix that difference so I can get the best out of my audio system

3:53 why does google maps not work? What is your standard process for punching in directions? Can you just save it on your phone then have the MMI unit load that? Also when AA is active, does it prevent your phone from working normally? do notification sounds and stuff automatically play from the car speakers?

I bought and installed this unit about three years ago. Yet it is sometimes difficult to start however one or two restarts it works…. I just did a software update and it was glitchy bur faster.

MMI has more bugs than any other type of 12vdc device I've ever encountered. If you need any tech support, they won't lift a finger unless you send in photos of every wire connection. Tech support is in Warsaw Poland. I can't get the back up camera to come on. My boss asked if he should continue to order Bimmertech. I said no. This one will be uninstalled and Bimmertech will never be ordered again

this is not a review its an ad for the product u did not talk anything about drawbacks, for example i know that radio will not work anymore.
I wasn't paid a dime by Bimmertech. Everything in the video was based off of my initial experience with the car. I'd recommend contacting their customer support if you're having issues. They've been great to work with in my experience.
