Is it possible to use it completely wired and turn off wifi and bluetooth on the MMI unit?
I have a BMW X3 F25 04/14 LCI. I had factory NBT on it and upgraded yesterday to NBT EVO ID6. I really hate the screen mirroring for Android devices.
Will I have wireless android auto with this one? plug and play?
Yes our MMI Prime and PRO allow you to have wireless Android Auto, although for mirroring it is through a wired connection and yes it is a plug and play product ;)
I plan to install the pro in my M6 tomorrow. Will the night vision camera, side view cameras, and top view camera still work? Is it still possible to manually activate the cameras without going into reverse?
Top view camera and side view camera will only work with iDrive mode, so if you switch from MMI :)
does the pro version have the same wireless hardware or is it improved (for example faster and better connection)?
We improved the hardware, so the system is faster overall. So yeah, you will feel the difference :)
For those that have a HUD, and LOVE the GPS turn by turn showing up on the HUD, does this product convey the Google Maps navigation to the HUD, or will we have to continue using the iDrive GPS to benefit from the HUD?
Sadly the MMI does not work with HUD :(
Is there a plan to add this via a software update in the future?
@@bimmer-techdang, I’d probably buy one of these if it integrated with the hud right, but for the price it’s at it makes no sense to buy when it strips out a core feature :/
I got a 2023 mini countryman, it has wireless apple carplay but no android auto, will this provide wireless android auto? And will my touch screen work or just the idrive knob ? Also, if i reverse will the camera pop up like it normally would?
1. If you go for the MMI, you will have Android Auto
2. It will work with your iDrive knob
3. In-built devices should work normally

Yes, it's compatible with newer models as well!

Yep, should be compatible, but to be sure you can type in the VIN on our website
what is Android Auto MMI Prime Retrofit? I have an electric mini SE and all i want is to add android auto. Will this box disable Apple carplay or will both work?
The box consists of both Android Auto and CarPlay, so you can go ahead and order it, if only it's compatible with your Mini :)
Would this fit in my BMW i8? Also is the screen touchscreen?
As for the compatibility - check it yourself on our website. Just type in the VIN in the top bar and see the search results :)
The functions are not usable with touchscreen :)

Hi, I have 2012 f20 1.16i. I dont know which sytem does it have, but doesnt have navigaiton, bluetooth and usb port. It has only one aux input in armrest. how can ı get contact with you for better explanation and instatiliation.

I would love to get this for my car , the issue is price . $700 , all the others are $350 , what’s so special with there model . It’s a rip off
The price might look a little excessive, but for the quality of product, straightforward install instructions and after-sales support, we think it's fair :)

I've installed numerous units that can add carplay/AA to vehicles. BimmerTech's units are by far the most solid units that I carry. You people know the saying. You get what you pay for.
