Wow!!! That’s amazing!!! I remember vividly when I first went to Vegas back in 1998. I was 14 and the shrimp cocktail was a dollar then and it’s a dollar now even after all these years. Big shout out to the Fremont for keeping it the same price, when I guarantee nothing is the same price from 1998.
Right? The sign said they haven't changed the price since the 70s.
It’s pretty tough to finish.. just tried a serving recently but very mushy to my taste. Huge, generous portions of tiny shrimp in cup of sauce but obviously you get what you get for $1 ;)
When we moved to California from Texas,the first place we lived was four hours from Vegas. My Dad loaded us up, and off we went. On the way there We said we were hungry, Dad said if we waited we could order ANYTHING we wanted. Momma said "What if I want steak....or lobster". With his devil grin,
said " Why not get both?"
I remember we were almost afraid 😳
We found out that the place we went, outside of Vegas had steak lobster dinner
for ridiculously cheap, 3.99 if I remember correctly. But my brother and I got burgers. Anyhow I was 13 SOOOO,

@@jasonpark9968 Yeah, I'm with you. I tried it years ago. I threw it out without finishing it. It was shrimp, but not good shrimp. It may still be only a buck, and somebody must like it if they're still selling it, at any price, but yuck. Not for me. I say try it once if you like shrimp and see if it meets your expectations, or desires.

I bought a lot of hot dogs at American Coney Island. The place is open 24 hours a day and they get the hot dogs to the customer very quickly. If it's 3 am and you have had a wee bit too much to drink (it's been known to happen), American Coney Island is a quick cheap way to get some food into your stomach to soak up the excess booze.

Another great vid. Just got back from there last Friday, enjoyed the sites and sounds that is Vegas. Tacos El Gordo and Ellis Island had some great food reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back, until then, keep up the great work! I am living my Vegas life through your vids! 😊👍

I love the Donut Bar. I've been there 3 times and it is a place I have to stop every time I am in town. Cool little courtyard where you were also. Great place.
You hit my hangover tour in the middle there every time I stay in DT Vegas. The hot dogs, taco spot and white castle will get you through a rough day :)

The two in Vegas are the only ones west of the Mississippi.
You can't even get fast food for less than $12 these days & you're still hungry. Best place to eat downtown for around $22 incl. tax & drink is the food court inside Plaza Hotel. Has Hawaii BBQ and Mexican Food. Also, try BAR BQ Pit inside Binion's.

Hi Dani so nice to see you again hope all is well now I must say I love Downtown Vegas and the awesome retro look so I must thank you so much for taking the time to do a video there also thanks for showing some of the local food spots also thanks for going beyond the call of duty and trying some foods that may not have been the best tasting like that shrimp cocktail which I’m sorry you had to suffer through also I didn’t know they had a White Castle out there well let me say I know we don’t have one here in SoCal but we have our In N Out and I’ll take that any day of the week and yes it cost more than that White Castle burger you got but it’s worth it so thanks Dani had fun hanging out with you in awesome Downtown Vegas now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Dani and Eddie and I’ll see you on the next awesome Vegas video peace ☮️ out ✌️

I was looking really hard for a Guinness or any stout on freemont.... other than a google search that showed a pub of course off the main drag. any stout taps on freemont? from asking a few bartenders they said there was a nitro tap at freemont casino but that place is closed. sorry thought you would be the person. still kinda "food" related lol have a good one. thank you for your great videos. its amazing the star struck feeling (from spotting you) and im from los angeles lol
Thanks for saying hello! I'm probably no help with finding beers. There was a bbq joint in the back of binions that had a bunch of different types of beers but I don't know much about beer if I'm honest. I think four queens has a brewery? If I read that correctly. 🤔

Oh my gosh, your review of White Castle made me giggle. I'm in the tri-state (OH/IN/KY) so White Castles are plentiful. We pass one almost daily ;). I'm sooooo happy you enjoyed your Original!!!
Cool video Dani, when I was young I remember Binions horseshoe had a steak dinner for 1.99 and the Old Lady luck had huge hot dog for 99 cents. Golden gate had the 50 cent shrimp cocktails. Boy times have changed. I'm a native Las Vegan I also remember Sahara had the 1.99 buffet and the old Holiday casino on the strip had a 29 cent complete chicken dinner. Thanks for showing where you still can get a cheap meal their few and far between !!

My uncle is from the East Coast. He had told me stories of White Castle, far before the movie came out, and he'd refer to their burgers as "rat burgers". But they hit the spot after a night of partying. Their onion pedals are pretty good and i like crinkle fries because i'm forever 8 yrs old.
Lol. I can see the late night burger for sure. I cant remember if I tried the fries but I'm so down for crinkle fries.

I'm glad you went to the Donut Bar. I searched it out one time based on a certain Vegas vlogger (I won't name him but you know who it is) and I thought they were big and delicious. I know that there is now a Pinkbox donut shop downtown, but I prefer this little place. I was curious when I saw you get a slider at White Castle, because I've never been to one and haven't been impressed with others reviews of it, especially with so many other options like In-N-Out or Shake Shack. But I understand this is a cheap eats video. I live in Massacusetts, and we have our own Coney Island hot dog place that's a real iconic, historic, super-popular place. With that, I'll pass on the Coney Island in Vegas. Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed your reactions.

OK...here we go... I am staying downtown next weekend so I definitely wanted to watch this vlog. You nailed it about Pop Up Pizza and White Castle, not the greatest. The Coney Island Hot Dog at the D...no onions and no mustard??? That's it, you can't be trusted! 🤣

The bar at the El Cortez is a great place to hang, very old school Vegas and the highlight of your trip around downtown. I would probably spend a bit more on the food though and get better value and quality.

Oh no floppy thin crust pizza The shrimp cocktail looked good for 99 cents. The coney dog looked good too, I agree no onions. Last year at this time I spent a lot of time covering plaes on or near Fremont street, I need to go back and check it out again.
I think the hotdog was my favorite food item of the day. The chilly was super good.
i like your reactions when you're not into the food. the donuts did look good though. I actually only ever went down to freement street one time all the way back in like 2016 my very first time in vegas. I've still never had White Castle either!

Oscar’s happy hour has a great deal on oysters & shrimp. The shrimp are huge & tasty.
Tacos and Miches is great. Big portions and reasonable price. Wana Taco at 4 Queens is great, too.

I couldn't do it. 😩 Onions are big in Mexican dishes too but I just couldn't eat even if it was touching my food. Lol. I'm not as bad about it now but still a big nope for me.
7-11 sells hot dogs and doughnuts under $3. About 5 min walk from Denny's on Fremont Street.

when I finally lived by a white castle in Nashville.... once a week thing lol. heart broken to watch the movie as a kid and not be able to go on that adventure with my friends after the movie with munchies and all. we tried lol no white castles in california at all to this day!

Howdy Dani.702. Want to visit the Plaza and have their pizza. It was good when I used to live in Las Vegas. Don't like Shrimp. Don't like hot dogs. The onions speak highly of you. lol Ah, a chili dog. The best tacos I had were in Las Vegas at Taco Bell. Haven't gone to a fast food place for years. The Doughnut Bar looks good. Have heard Doughnut Bar closed? It wasn't in business when I lived in Las Vegas.
Alot of the food on Fremont is pretty reasonable considering its almost like eating at an amusement park. 🎰
20 years ago...they had free popcorn at Slots-O-Fun......a lot of bums ate there.

I hate onions on anything. That's why I don't eat at White Castle. At In N Out, it's always no onions and no spread (sauce).
Coney Island, just under $7 chilli dogs.
We dont call them murder burgers for no reason.
The only time I had White Castle sliders was after a night of drinking and partying and while maybe not the best burgers they sure hit the spot at those times. It was either White Castle or Pat's Steaks for me in Philly. I am not a fan of shrimp at all but that shrimp cocktail looked nasty to me. I don't think I would have paid even 99 cents for that one. It is crazy how expensive a slice of pizza is now even at $4.50 it is a rip off. Think about it this way a whole pie at $4.50 a slice would be $36.00. Think the most a whole pie cost around my area is $16.00. It is not easy finding foods below $5.00 today so kudos for finding those spots. Love your videos and have been watching for a long time now.
I can see white castle being the late night spot. Its probably the onions that ruin it for me. Haha ya the shirmp cocktail was fun being a classic snack but I wouldn't get it again. 😅

You should do the cheapest buffet, if there is one anymore. It will be a real "Vegas Vacation" moment then, lol
