  • Tipping at all Inclusive resorts is one of those questions that we see now and again. It can be confusing to know if you should tip, who to tip, and how much to tip. In this video I'll discuss why we tip and how we do this as a couple. We would love to hear your thoughts on the matter. This can be a hot topic for some that are traveling from countries that don't tip as frequently as in North America. Drop a comment and let us know what you think!
While you're at it, we stayed at Catalonia Royal Tulum and Andaz Mayakoba recently. Be sure to check out those videos linked below:

Thanks Melissa and Enrique. I always forget to tip as I’m not used to tipping.

We almost always stay at all inclusive in the Caribbean and Mexico. I’m with you. It depends on your mood sometimes. It depends on how well a certain employee takes care of you for a certain amount of time be it one evening or the duration of the stay. A few bucks a day for housekeeping or every other day. But I tip the guy well keeping my mini fridge well stocked with local beer, water n juice. 🤣👋🏽

That’s exactly it. If we get great service we leave more. If it’s terrible we don’t tip and don’t feel guilty at all. But for the most part we always get great service in Mexico. They work hard.

If tip 2$ for bear it’s cheaper to buy bear outside of resorts for less than a dollar

I think you try to mean “beer” so everywhere around Mexico from Tijuana to Chetumal you are not going to find a beer for less than a dollar

I always tip for good service Im from the UK but have been coming to the USA for 30 years and are visiting las vagas next week for 10 days.
I think tipping has got out of control when paying by card the tipping screen appears all the time.😮

Yes, Ian it sure is! We’re in Vegas every 2 weeks and it feels even worse there. Don’t feel guilty if you adjust some of those machines to delete or adjust your tip, especially in a food court type of setting.

I can honestly say that if anyone deserves tips it is the workers on resorts in Mexico. I say this because you are treated like royalty at the resorts by the servers and staff. The United States is crap service these days and I tip accordingly. Gone are the days (for me) that I follow the guidelines of tipping. Servers have declined in the personality/hopitality department in the USA. They rely on the "recommended tip amount." I call B.S on that. No decent service...minimal tip if any. I was a server and gave stellar service. I was rewarded handsomely. Eat a gob to those servers who ride on the shirt tails of expectation. It is time we show them no decent service...no tip.

If you can believe it, Enrique took the jeep in for an oil change and their credit card machine asked for a tip. It’s way out of control. And yes, the workers at those Mexican resorts treat guests so well. They work for their tips!
