Claps and more claps! RX is a master player, the fact that Justin was reacting at his set and not streaming while he was playing is cuz he take really serious this time. Much love and respect from Argentina to both, hands down.
RX is the reason I even cared to get good at 3rd strike. I still cant figure out charge partitions 100% lol but learning how to play urien taught me how to be aggressive with charge characters in general. awesome vid!
What a godlike set. Two of my all-time favorite players going at it and it's down to the wire, too. What a freaking treat this was, thanks for the upload.
I remember watching this & SBO back in the day. These old matches showed why 3s is here to stay. Props to you for being a legend & showing us other legends!
It's funny, I never played third strike but I have watched so many hours of it it's ridiculous. Some games just hold up against that test of time. Final Fantasy 6 for instance is one of those games. I really think that was the golden age of gaming. Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Legend of Mana, the Final Fantasy games, and many more. With enough special effects, a movie or game can easily be carried in many cases. With both older games and movies, they had you rely on great story telling as the special effects crutch was still decently young. With Third Strike, the fact that people are still learning new tech in a game that's almost two and a half decades old is pretty incredible.
SF was once just a way to innocently pass the time in my youth.. then i witnessed moment 37.. and ever since then, a fire was lit in me.. Justin got his YT channel, Daigo got his YT channel, so many other great fighting game enthusiasts giving me the knowledge that i just soak up like a sponge.. what a time to be alive
This gameplay really showcases why 3S is such a good fighting game. Mind games, execution, tech and reactions. You need them all to compete with the top dogs.
This is why i subscribed, Third Strike action! I don't care that much for fighting games in general, but once i'd tried Third Strike with a friend on Mame.....Wow, This is the greatest "unknown street fighter game" ever, not a single kid i knew had it, when growing up in Sweden. Fantastic graphics, animations, voices, sound effects, combos, supers, everything is just perfect! Such a fun game!
fantastic set Justin! RX is such a beast... he hits those combos like it's nothing and they are SO DIFFICULT! I hope you had some other sweaty matches too, maybe against Pierrot or another TS legend.
Great set Justin. Thanks for sharing and giving insight on all the god like things going on. Hope you and the family had a awesome Xmas and I look forward to seeing your video's next year. All the best man!
Wow a match with the god RX. That's amazing that you managed to get match videos with guys of that level. Makes me excited to see if there's more, and also on other games like CvS2, SFA3, SF4, etc.
Where Justin is asking where RX got that EX Headbutt leading to the round win of that first game, it's basically a negative input completion. Either 3rd Strike or Alpha was the first to introduce this possibility but what happens is when you make a special move input notion, rotation notion or otherwise, the game will hold that input read for about a second and a half, which allows a quick input of another notion, like that dash, and still allow the player to complete the appropriate intended move input after the in-between. Very tight to pull off but it has been featured quite frequently during Street Fighter IV's time; however, this is a testament to the hand speed and quick thinking of RX to pull this off in 3rd Strike, which has MUCH tighter input timings than the 4 series.
I think you are not considering how long a second and a half is in FGs. It is more than enough to fully charge a charge motion in 3s. I don't think such mechanic exists in 3s as you mentioned.
Man I remember watching RX vids back in the day, one of the reasons why I got into sf3 and tried to learn Urien. Very technical character. But RX is reaching artistic levels of skill with how he plays.
When i saw the title it reminded me that the reason i started playing with Urien was because of RX, my favorite Urien player. And to my surprise when I started watching the video it was actually him that JW was against.
First footage I saw on RX back in like 05 just fuckin blew my mind. He had the sickest Urien and it was also when l found about Charge partition. Crazy
This man Rx, back in the day, fought in a mirror match, got put in the aegis reflector blender, on wake up parried not only aegis reflector but the attacks from other side and still won the match 😮
I know the video is a year old but I wanted to answer your question on why he dashed forward after doing parry on the last hit of your super. He dashed forward so he can make sure aegis would hit after shoulder tackle. If he's any further away after dhp lk shoulder could whiff or aegis could whiff also after lk tackle.
wow I always enjoy looking 3rd strike high quality matches, way more than the other SF. I thought you would have more problems against RX but your Chun li is god tier man. u knew how to dominate him many times. Im amazaed
I imagined so but i was also curious if he really managed to fight THE Urien god. It's great that he was able to get matches with people of that level in his trip.
That heavy headbutt tech was pretty nice. You see that a lot with yun players with mixing up shoulders so the parry timing is different to help them spam it for meter.
You know its serious when the commentary isn't done live
Claps and more claps!

I thought he was at the arcade in japan? How could he stream it from there?
I am glad to see RX is not only well, he's playing, and still very good.
RX is the reason I even cared to get good at 3rd strike. I still cant figure out charge partitions 100% lol but learning how to play urien taught me how to be aggressive with charge characters in general. awesome vid!
The good ones are charging even when you think they can't be
Urien did that for me too
What a godlike set. Two of my all-time favorite players going at it and it's down to the wire, too. What a freaking treat this was, thanks for the upload.

I'm a simple man: Whenever I see Third Strike, I hit like. Doesn't matter who plays the game - Max, Justin, whoever. Third Strike is a good time.
A simple man perhaps, but a man of refined taste without question.

LTG has a lot of third strike videos that might interest you.

Seen a lot of SF3S videos and I didn't even know Urien could move like that... RX really squeezing every last drop out of him.
RX is magic. So are high tier Remy players. You'd swear charge time is a suggestion after watching them.
Yeah, Pierrot does some absurd shit with Remy and TM is also godlike with Q. And these two characters are considered to be very low tier
@@wii3564don’t forget kuroda with Q
RX is a legend
Wow! RX! I remember watching some of his old UA-cam clips years ago. He is arguably the best Urien player in 3S, in my opinion.
Great set, Justin!
SF was once just a way to innocently pass the time in my youth..

I love that you're doing commentary on this, I love when you do it after the fight instead of during.
RX is a legend, mad respect... Oh man, this guy was godlike. I hope he will play sf6, love to see him playing.
This gameplay really showcases why 3S is such a good fighting game. Mind games, execution, tech and reactions. You need them all to compete with the top dogs.
RX T A S ACTIVATED XD
I've wanted to watch this matchup for years. Thank you!!!

3:40 😂😂😂😂 hilarious and sus I’m dead…

Fuck! RX?! I played this guy at SBO 08 and he CLOWNED me.
I remember watching RX combo videos back in the day. A legend of his time. Great set.
Wow a match with the god RX. That's amazing that you managed to get match videos with guys of that level. Makes me excited to see if there's more, and also on other games like CvS2, SFA3, SF4, etc.
Wow! This is a treat for the 3s fans.
What a treat to watch Rx/Urien again. I saved this video to my favorites, you guys put on a show.
Love this set. RX been my favorite Urien for years
When the title said Godfather of Urien, I knew immediately it was RX. If there's one thing I know from 3S, is RX doesn't fuck around.
Thx for the video Justin! I have a couple of RX videos saved in a cd from back in the day. It was very cool to see you play him!
ggz, 5-4 is super hype! love how some rounds you guys were just boding each other super hard

Just call it charge partitioning 💀💀
It's charge partitioning. Doesn't have anything to do with negative edge.
And it's really just a 3s specific mechanic that definitely wasn't in SF4.
@@strawberrykeiku What they described isn't charge partitioning
misinformation. RX did a charge partition there, which is not what you described
I think you are not considering how long a second and a half is in FGs. It is more than enough to fully charge a charge motion in 3s. I don't think such mechanic exists in 3s as you mentioned.
When I say the title, I was like "no way, is it going to be RX.." AND IT IS. Super excited to watch this

Top legends of third strike
That Urien was godlike! never thought I'd see a better Urien player than gootecks
The game within the game within the game. Lovin these HIGH level matches with commentary. 👏🏾💥
That Urien is Gawdlike. Amazing player
RX the Urien GOAT!!
Congrats Justin. RX is literally the GOD of Urien. My fav SFIII player. He does things with Urien that no one else can do. Insane!
When i saw the title it reminded me that the reason i started playing with Urien was because of RX, my favorite Urien player. And to my surprise when I started watching the video it was actually him that JW was against.

Pure fire bro. What an amazing video.
What a set! That was so sick.
Love your content as always, Justin! Thank you for making it!
GODFATHER RX!!! Great set Justin.
Greetings from Mexico, Señor Justin! Always great to see your analysis! :D

The way Urien looks when he slams (throw) Chun into the ground and holding her "thighs", it looks like he's about to eat some...groceries.
It's called a powerbomb....
@@terrencepoinsett4169 there we go. Powerbombs aren't something that come up in my conversations frequently.
15:00 did our boy Justin do some charge partitioning of his own? 😅
the mind games is strong in these plays.
So much fun to watch Thank you
That back and forth parry string in the last round. Excellent!
thank you for indulging us with 3s footage!
Great match. Love seeing you play against opponents at the highest level.
Love the commentary and breakdown of the match! Glad you got the W!
Really enjoyed this content. I like the breakdown in thinking
Yea really liked this! Retro commentary as live would have been too tekky. RX got mad moves

That Urien player makes Urien move like Gill.
What a set! It had the flavour of tournament matches, far far from a simple exhibition between the two. That Urien is a beast!
2:55 that pixel perfect last run from the last hit.
My first thought was "but is this Urien RX tier" and low and behold it is!
Urien es complicado de usar, con chunli solo es 6h hasta que le des al contricante, y entonces ulti
I feel like Urien is the character where you think you’re winning until you’re not.
Those commented videos are always so hype
this set was awesome
When I saw the title, I hoped it was RX. I've been a fan of his since way back.
It's crazy that Justin beat a player/character like that. RX was using insane combos while my man took the W by sticking with strong fundamentals.
I was just watching some Rx FT10 matches over at the Game Newton page, and now I get to watch a Jw Rx FT5 sweet
That was epic gameplay ty bro love 3rd strike content
GG's that was fun to watch
Yooo that was some amazing game play bro!!
This was so good!!!
Damn, that was super hype. Love the play by play.
Urien in the club doing aeigis reflector
I already knew it was RX before I clicked on this video. He's the best Urien player out there.
I imagined so but i was also curious if he really managed to fight THE Urien god. It's great that he was able to get matches with people of that level in his trip.
I LOVE RX's Urien. It's inspirational. I wish I had time to lab to get that good.
such a great match! what a urien too, dang
Those were godlike matches!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥💯
My man JWong got a major dose of the Thong Song.
Incredible set 🤯
Man that ex mirror fireball was so smart, it canceled the fireball animation and allowed him to travel with it, protecting him from the super

Never thought I'd see the name RX again. so cool to see him still up and at it.
woah thats awesome u got to vs RX!
