It's true. As much as people left LA, people are moving in almost the same rate. I left LA May 2020 to seek life in a different state and I just returned back last month. There is no where like LA. Houston might be comparable but it still isn't LA. If people just disregard the cons, such as traffic, home prices, homelessness, LA is the place to be. You have all the conveniences of everything.
I definitely agree. I lived in Houston for six months and was homesick all the time. It's expensive but it's worth every penny. We have everything especially great weather and public transportation. 👍
Two of the real reasons why I want to move to LA so bad is because 1) I want to be in the entertainment industry and 2) to start a brand-new life. A fresh start.
@@RockstarEater I have special needs and I have always wanted to move LA since California is my dream state to move to forever. All of my favorite celebrities live in LA and this will finally be my once in lifetime to meet my favorite stars. I have lived in New Jersey all my life and I'm sorry but I hate living in New Jersey. LA will be a wonderful place to move to with my mom. As I said before it is my biggest dream place to move to since Cali is my dream state to LA. I have only ever been to Disney World in Florida but never to Diseny Land California Adventure and Legoland and many more fun places to go to in LA. The weather is in LA is abousely incredible and amazing. There are so many beautiful restaurants in LA to eat at including Catch LA restaurant, the number celebrity hotspot. The main to reasons I want to move to LA is because to try In-Out burgers since we don't have a In and Out in New Jersey only a Five Guys and the second reason why I meet all my favorite celebrities. My new favorite LA sports teams are The Lakers and The Dodgers and if I do ever move to LA, I can finally go to a Lakers game and a LA Dodgers game or maybe even both. I have always wanted to move to LA, trust me.
I've been to L.A before. I LOVED IT. I'm trying to convince my bf to move there with me. He's so far not convinced because of the prices. I'm taking him on a trip with me for his first time this month. I hope he falls in love with it too like I did.
You can love it or hate it all you want but the fact is there is NO place quite like it anywhere else in the US! I moved away for 3 years only to come running back. Sorry but LA and California is THE place I call home.
For sure. L.A. is a cultural mecca spanning over 500 square miles so, of course, it will have its problems. Most of us believe the pros far outweigh the cons but middle Americans (many of whom probably haven't stepped a single toe in L.A.) will continue to shit on it like it's the single worst city in the world. They need to believe it in order to maintain their warped view of liberal policies and big city life in general.
I’m in the process of trying to make this decision. I’ve visited LA many, many times for leisure, and I love it. But actually moving there and working - ie, “reality” - I don’t know what to do. Decisions, decisions, decisions…
Born and Rise in LA the cons are true. I live in California. I move to the Suburbs of Ontario (San Bernardino County) which is 46 miles from LA. Move here 15 years ago. Much cheaper then living in the city and I have great mountain scenery. Very peaceful. Traffic is much better. The school are better. I can still visit my family and friends in LA, go to beach if I want too. Where I live the Orange County beaches are closer. So consider that of option.
I currently live in Phoenix. Been here for about 16 years and harly have a friend. However, I lived in LA until I was 9, and then moved to other places The majority of friends I have are STILL in LA. I still go visit them, so..
I was there last year! and I loved it. although I didn't get to see all of LA in the four days I was here. I did find much to my liking and I made a few friends during my time there!
Pros: -Weather -Nice beaches -Great food Cons: -Homeless -Crime -High costs of living -People with mental illness shooting random fireworks at night -Helicopter noises -Traffic -Garcetti, Newsom...enough said lol
I feel like LA it's kind of like NY it's flashy and people are attracted by what they see in the rich in famous but for normal folks it's very difficult to live a normal life so unless your pockets are endless or you live of entertainment industry, there's no point I think, US has other states were you can have better lifestyle and have a bigger house whilst in LA is merely an apartment.
I agree in all pros and 4 out of 5 cons. Schools here in Burbank California are great with high rantings. I can't say the same for every city in Los Angeles but at least my kids go to high rated public schools in my city.
I live in LA almost 5 yrs now ,last 2 months visit Texas soo many places to move but me and my daughter like LA soo much ,high cost of living other things still over all for me in usa to live best is LA 🤗

The financial state of California is atrocious and unless things change 180 degrees this is not a place to plan for long term, unless you like having a lot less disposable income vs other states.
Exactly why i don't live in LA lol. Very good advice in this video. I'm in the inland empire not too far away to visit beaches and LA for some fun times & good eats. Love your videos 👍
I lived in Torrance for couple years, while working for the local aircraft and aerospace industries back in the early 90s. LA comprised of many people from every corners of the US coming there. A very liberal region, except for the OC. My visiting friends often complained that LA is full of rude people, and road rages are visible everywhere. I tried to explain to them that vast majority of people living LA were actually at certain point, coming from other states and cities, and their encounters were just a reflection of America's melting pot.
