Mr Car Pitch, advice re Non-Domestic Rates, have you claimed the 75% Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Relief Scheme on your Business Rates Bill? As you are over the £12K threshold for 100% Relief -as your RV is 13500, so you will only get 50% Small Business Rate Relief (you loses 1.667% relief for every £50 over the 12K threshold) Have you claimed the above discount on top of your Small Business Rate Relief? As you are operating a car sales business you are entitled to claim the Relief. Contact your local council business rates team, and request the discount be applied to your bill if it hasn't already been applied to your bill.

Anything taking up space not making money should be either binned, traded out or auctioned faster. Maybe you could do with a second mechanic to speed the turnaround of cars and fix up the warranty issues. Good luck mate.
Hi to anyone in the motortrade used car sales ........ I've just bought a Jag X351 from a dealer (car lot type place) for £19k Beautiful car & well kept etc. Question is what are the dealer legal obligations as with regard the warranty? They palmed me off with a 3rd party 3 month policy which has a maximum claim limit of wait for it .........£500 and a maximum £50 per hour labour rate ⚠️ which to my mind is laughable and won't even repair the simplest of components these days. What are my consumer rights on this please folks? Traditionally traders had to offer a 3 month warranty on all major parts like engine, gearbox and back axle etc. Is that still the case? Thanks in advance.
You have the 3rd party warranty in addition to your consumer rights (The Consumer Rights Act 2015). Lets say you had a £750 repair and the warranty paid the maximum at £500, the shortfall would need to be paid, if applicable, by the selling dealer or by yourself in other circumstances. Have a google regarding the consumer rights and read the terms and conditions on the policy you have.
@@pete707 Thanks Pete. The 3rd party (a worthless non FCA policy ) has maximum £500 per claim. That won't even repair an alternator or water pump these days ! The dealer warranty is even worse at £250 max per claim. Total joke. We've been stitched up big time ⚠️
That protons gotta be the ugliest car since the old lada riva was introduced but someone will love it probably an older couple to go to the shops and church

Did you manage to sort out the MOT license you were having problems with.
No need to do a exam and demo test, trying to get to time to box it off this month

How do you get the free breakfast at Aston Barclay?

Lee your totally at liberty for your blood to boil over the decision on business rates . Why should you pay for someone's mistake..you've worked hard for where you are. Hope you get it sorted.
Lee do you still have the Ghibli? How has the ownership experience been? how is it as a car?
5 years never had a single issue, most reliable car I ever owned. Car is outstanding and sounds like nothing else in comparison. Although I am about to sell mine and buy a granturismo, if i could keep my ghibli i would but the wife would not be happy with that 👍😁
Is it 8 square meter or 8 meters squared ?
Not a good time to sell cars at the moment , Im trying to sell my 2013 Fiat 500 as ive given up driving due to the high costs of petrol and insurance in the area i live near London , no one wants to buy it ive had new clutch and gear bearings fitted at a cost to myself of £800 and i only want £3 grand for the car but not even an offer ! A trader im friends with said he will give me £2100 for it so if i cant sell the car soon il just have to take that low offer , its sad times reminding me of the 1930s will swap car for loaf of bread lol thats how bad its getting mate
Only in London with a utter khant killing the place off....I predict CAMELS will be the new transport in Londonistan in the future, sad times we live in now.
The council are thieves. Why don’t they have a simple contract number, or get their lazy ass to see you. Glad you’re doing the right thing with your customers
Lee you are running about like a blue arse flea. Could do with freeing up some space up at the back . Anything taking up space not making money should be either binned, traded out or auctioned faster. Maybe you could do with a second mechanic to speed the turnaround of cars and fix up the warranty issues. Good luck mate.
Hospital and Dr's are a joke they haven't a clue what there doing
Hi to anyone in the motortrade used car sales ........
I've just bought a Jag X351 from a dealer (car lot type place) for £19k
Beautiful car & well kept etc.
I'll tell you what frustrates me. You say the local council or government sets the prices for everything, but when they make a mistake, it's always in their favour. We have to step in and say, "Hold on, you're wrong." It's almost comical how the errors always benefit them.
If you stopped paying rates they'd soon be round 🤣. JLR. Just limited reliability.
looks like only did the shop lol
