Which is why i NEVER stop to let them do that. It's just plain dumb. Also very discriminatory it depends on which demographic area the Walmart is located.
Yes it is. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left my position to help someone like this. I don’t care if I get fired. It would be for helping a customer. People need to remember… it’s the customers that pay your salaries.
Omg just charge the guy for the tank exchanges and tell him to bring his truck to the tank area and take his empties and give him his 2 full tanks and let him be on his way!!!!...god damn what's so hard about that?!?!
Dee Dee Sadly that would require them doing their damn job!!! I see more Walmart employees trying to hide rather than to actually work.... I'm too the point that I'd just rather drive 5-10 more miles away and be able to purchase the things I need and without being treated like a damn thief... POOR GUY. THAT CASHIER NEEDS TO BE TOLD B-BYE NOW!!
I personally wouldn't care if it meant being written up for direct insubordination or not. That "so-called manager" needs to find another job as well. This poor man's needs were not being met in any way. I personally wouldn't give a flying sh*t what the manager said, and I use the term manager loosely regarding this issue, I'd get the customer his damn propane tanks like he needed then deal with the POS Manager afterwards. I can pretty much bet there wouldn't have been a issue if someone would've just done it anyway irregardless of what they were told to do. Sometimes you've just gotta do what you've gotta do, even as a Walmart employee.
MJ Came To Slay because they hire anyone else off the street, they don’t. Other to teach them how to be appropriate with customers. No customer service skills whatsoever.
I noticed the same thing happening at our Walmart here. The guy just looks at the receipts but everything is in bags and he doesn't even bother looking in them. I was thinking the same thing- whats the point of that?
Most of those people had bags of stuff. Why check their receipts? And they aren't checking them against the contents of the bag or shopping cart. What a wonderful way to waste everyone's time and let them know they don't trust them at the same time. Now if there was some guy walking out the store with a TV right before a hurricane was going to hit. Well, it may be time to see if he paid for that. But a cart with groceries and a jumbo pack of toilet paper?
usually they only check if you have something not bagged...so yea that was weird but since there is a hurricane they may be worried about people stealing.
As a former walmart employee i can tell you the receipt thing was thought up by some stupid ass up in home office. As it was explained to us it was a "full proof" way to stop shop lifting if you have something in your cart and it wasn't on the receipt they automatically suspected you of shop lifting. I can't count how many times people were accused of shop lifting cause of that.
99GPSE well if it's not on your receipt I can see how they would say you are shoplifting because self checkout you see what you ring up... only way I can think is once I bought something and there wad something else inside whatever I was buying that was small and they didn't ring it up and I wasn't paying attention but to go threw sometimes bag... that's invasion of privacy what if they are buying embarrassing products idk just seems reddick... and not all walmarts do it only in the cities and shit...
I see you replied to me but not the 1st person who said you're name. I was only joking thou, but you think you're too good for Walmart, keep yourself at Target then.
Why are they stopping everybody at the door and checking their receipts???!!! They treat their customers like a bunch of thieves shopping at a jail!!! I would never spend my money there to be treated like that!!! It's fuckin Wal-mart, not Tiffany's!!! Wow!!!
in fact, you DO NOT have to show your receipt. they can ask, but if you refuse they can't do a thing legally. They cannot detain you unless they see you take something and then they have to wait until you exit store.
Ya know they stick some poor soul out there who has to deal with some hostilities. But what can someone do when there aren’t that many jobs available to them? Yup Walmart owners suck. That’s actually what I really mean.
Yes, u do. If not, they put it as a shoplifter list. I work for walmart. It's fuck up. Trust corporate do not care. They are all about them. Shit if they care about their employees. What makes them care about y'all.
So glad you got your propane. That was ridiculous and let me tell you it's happened to me in Walmart where they say they're out of something and they're not. Just don't want to get it.
Erin 440 Yeah they are racist in my neck of the woods. They used tongs e a small ethnic section, I asked them where the section is bc I don't see it anywhere this broad says: we don't have enough of ur kind around to keep selling the products we're losing money by keeping it up. I laughed my ass off, bc the supervisor was right behind her bc she come around as I was raising my voice and she stood there watching as soon as the manager heard her say that the manger said get ur crap and get out of my store. Lmao but yeah every other time I go there j run into stupid people haha
I work for Walmart I don't know why they are check receipts our policy is only checked them when they have a big item 2nd propane exchanges are done in the garden center I have done a lot of them the last few months you can either pay for them up front or in the garden center.
I guess youve never heard of speed reading or skimming! Don tell me that the eployees cant read "condoms", if thats the only thing on the recipt! Lol People dont need thier privacy invaded!! They have enough cams and enough employees to spy on the real thieves!! Ugh Btw do you want somebody knowing you have a yeast infection? Lol
Melissa Dryden i once asked a walmart employee for something, she was walking through the aisles with a clear employee badge and replied sorry im on my break .. i just stared back confused, like at least direct me to someone else LOL
Epcotapestry ...Lmfaoh....I don't need to be prayed for, I'm just fine! I'm not ignorant either....If you go to Wal-Mart then you will see what I'm saying about how they "work"! They bitch about everything and never do their job(s)! I see it every fucking day, so pray for that!!!
The whole receipt checking thing is simply a conditioning exercise to get people to comply with non existent authority. Wal Mart in Canada does not do this but Costco does. I just blow them off and keep walking or tie up their day by questioning the whole process. I always ask why they are doing it and I get all kinds of nonsense answers from the "authority".
I hate the way walmart treats people. Having to stand in a long ass checkout line (because walmart has a thousand lanes but only has 2 lines open) and then having to wait in a long ass line again, just to be able to leave!! Fucking bullshit!! And they aren't even really checking shit! There's like a dozen employees going in and out and just standing there, somebody just sell the man the tanks and let him go!
Obviously you failed to comprehend that this was during a hurricane when thousands of people had no electricity and had no choice but to use propane to cook with, etc.
I was attacked by a Walmart employee. He tried to rape me in the bread aisle! They had it on camera. I sued and said I'd drop the lawsuit if they fired him but they wouldn't. A year later he showed up at work and pulled a gun on his supervisor, finally they fired him. After that, nothing surprises me!
Buffy love tyinus Yes and if I would be treated like a human at walmart I wouldn't mind being a paid member like at Costco's, but since they treat customers (and employees) like shit, why pay for a membership? Walmart could be as good as Costco, but they are to greedy to "waste" money by being nice to customers
I used to work for these types of jobs etc when I was younger. It was so bad and weird that I actually went to college to get a degree. The thought of dealing w persons like her everyday is a nightmare especially when they already hate their jobs and only deal with customers because they have to.
I did go back to college & now make $30/hr. I didn't hate my job, I hated the rude customers who failed to realize that I was there to do a specific job.
come on people not all Walmart employees are bad grow up I'm getting tired of people putting Walmart in a bad light yes I agree there are some people that need to get there act together but all of them are bad
Maybe stop reading those comments if you're truly getting so "tired of them". For someone telling others to "grow up", it seems like the most mature solution.
Is there a sign before you enter wal-puke that you must show a receipt before your allowed to leave? If there is no sign warning customers what they are doing is illegal.
Rick Brick if you watch them check the receipt, it's for about 3 seconds. What are they checking it for anyway? They don't even count the customers items or nothing. stupid....
, every once in a while though ill end up at a walmart that does this. and one time i remember i saw a lady and she was getting her receipt checked and they actually looked in he bag bc she had a short receipt but a heavy ass bag w like 10 items, so yeah she was stealing. but thats her i guess
I have never seen Walmart employees checking receipts of customers trying to leave the store. That in itself is crazy. Is this because it's in a hurricane?
Tammy Johnson Every Wal-Mart I've ever been to checks your receipts. Usually they only check it if you have any kind of boxed items in your cart. I've never heard of a Wal-Mart NOT check your receipts. I thought they all did or at least they are supposed to. It's cause all the trashy people shop there.
@@donniesmith3688 they mistreat their employees, managers and really the general public. They robbed much of the country’s mom and pop shops by buying in bulk.
I really cannot understand how Walmart is still in business. They have the rudest, laziest people working there everywhere I have lived. I would rather stick a sharp stick in my eye then shop at a Walmart.
Bree V. I feel your pain but still not an excuse. If your going to steal then font get caught or don't do it. You can't take someone else's chicken because your hungry and think it's ok. What if I walk into your home and take stuff that you work hard for.
Lol now this does seem a bit extreme!!!! You wait in the only 1 or 2 long lines that are open for check out then you also have to wait in another long line to get checked out again and have your receipt checked- And for small items??? I thought receipt check was for big purchases like a big tv, computer, etc
I bet Kahn is laughing at that guy trying to get his propane. He's calling that guy a stupid American. Thanks Jon MacDonald or is it John Redcorn See what you did. Now that damn show is stuck in my head.
He started with the personal insults right away. I can tell you from personal experience once you personally insult an employee it's game over you have lost. If he would have handled that like a polite gentleman they probably would have helped him.
She makes me sick. She should be fired. I'm sure karma will come and bite her in the you know what. Sorry you had to go through that, I can't imagine. You handled it a lot better than I could of.
if ya didn't know .. people will go into a store with an old receipt or one they found on the ground. old bags find the items and try to walk out with them.. the Walmart by my house checks every receipt. .. for the date not the items.. sometimes it's for the items if it is a TV or something big they need to check to see if the codes match.. if you don't know the kinds of hussles people pull on Stores then you should not talk
When they just look at the receipt when someone has a bag or bags they're making sure it has the correct date. That's why it doesn't take long, they're not just looking for nothing. People go to the extreme and run game trying to steal items and will bring an old receipt and put stolen items in a bag like they've purchased it.
You all know that "exit bag/receipt" checks are voluntary, and you are not required by law to comply, right? Just say "No Thanks", and move along......
I love how all the sheeple line up and wait to take their own personal property out, because a civilian wants proof it's theirs. What is wrong with these people? "What's the big deal? It's just 2 seconds?" It belongs to you, not the store.
We went to our first Walmart in Florida, thinking it would be like Asda. What a shithole....with really unfriendly staff. Though customer service was king in the USA, but this certainly wasnt the case.
Hi, we were visiting from the UK. We were staying outskirts of Orlando area. Walmart had just bought a large store chain in UK and we wanted to see what we could look forward to coming to UK. As it turns out NOTHING.
Where I live they check everyone’s receipt just like this but they write on them too. I never saw anything wrong with it until now, it’s actually crazy to see. The workers at my Wal-Mart are older sweet ladies who always are so nice I never saw how messed up it is.
As a whole, Walmart sucks. The Walmart in our town, though, has good customer service and really helpful employees. Well, all of them except one older gentleman who is rude and hateful to anyone who asks him for help.
no it happens year round in many stores all over the country. stores with high theft rates have employees who are paid to check receipts. It happens in Costco and Sams club as well. It's a legal way for these stores to express racism and it has been happening for years.
gmomsoup Shit, damn Fox news strikes again. Wipe the dust off your encyclopedia and look up the real definition of racism and realize systemic long term plans to continue racism are extremely complex and multifaceted. But maybe you're a genius and have seen all systemic methods and evidence and proof and decided on your own they were coincidences or black racists sneakily working to make you feel bad over "white guilt" or even the diabolical democrats not actually caring but just "buying black votes while systemically killing their babies with abortions." I'm sure you did all that unbiased data research on your own, singlehandedly came to that convoluted giant assumption with more unbiased scientific proof and you're not spoonfed biased propaganda BS and blindly swallowing it without independently fact checking. Seeing as you called him racist you can't say now that it doesn't exist and the fact you did misuse racist and don't even know the real ""unspun" definition takes your "independent genius singlehandedly figures out all proof of systemic racism is a lie and backs up theory with conclusive unbiased scientific evidence" absolutely laughable. Your spoonfed bias propaganda is showing and it is some nasty looking shit. Only intelligence, hard work, research, knowledge and putting down your BS spoon will cure that so good fucking luck! LMFAO!!!
I worked at a store that filled and sold propane tanks and if no one was certified to handle propane we were not allowed to sell any, whether it was available or not.
Once the employee helped him and made sure the entitled pick would get his tanks did you notice there was not one thank you? instead he gives more insults to the high school kid telling him how to manage the store
omgah!! if thier merchandise is in a bag the why do they have to show a receipt?!! items not bagged, ok but to tackled and have your items that you paid for rummaged through is ridiculous and harassment! this is exactly why i no longer shop at this mad house!
dreamcatcher Walmart was losing billions of dollars in stolen merchandise and people still can steal things and put into their bags when leaving the store. So it isn't unnecessary
I see some people saying you don't have to show your receipt at the door if your items are bagged. If you don't they'll stop you and block the exit. How are you all getting away without the extra door check?! I don't want to be detained if I refuse...
B Davis Unless an employee witnessed me shoplift, Walmart cannot force me to stay while they do their investigation. There's been plenty of times Walmart tried to stop me and check my receipt...There's been plenty of times I smiled and kept walking.
I think it might depend on the location. High crime area with people shoplifting all the time. It is not like that in my Wal-Mart. I think there was maybe one time where the cops were called because a guy had a van full of stuff and nothing was in bags and he couldn't find the receipt. It is possible with this Wal-Mart that since there was a huricane or going to be one, they may have been taking precautions against looting.
so since they don't check the contents just the date on the receipt you get a receipt with the current date on it go in the store fill up a shopping cart when the store is real busy and and waltz right out the store ha ha ha brilliant Wal Mart LMAO
I worked for Wal-Mart for 2 years and was wrongly accused of stealing $1,280 from them and I didn't do it 3 months after they had me arrested and put in jail for 3 weeks and put on probation for 3 years they finally caught the person that really did steal that money.they never told me they were sorry or asked me if I wanted my job back nothing. I never got any of my money back from the court or from the probation officer I had to give up over three thousand dollars we had nothing for three months
All Walmart stores are all dysfunctional, the problem starts with the management,If the management team is rude and ignorant how can they supervise their employees, it's a bad reflection of the few employees that actually do their job.
walmart is so bootleg...shitty and broke. cant even afford legit security. so they have to go through each bag while checking receipt. They do this to me I'm going right back to customer service and return everything i bought. asap! I'd rather spend more at Target for quality customer service!!!
Walmart, do not ask me to show u my receipt, EVER! After standing n line 15 to check out I will not stand in another line to show my receipt. Call the police, take me to security, whatever. I bought 6 25lb bags of cat litter for a pet rescue (about $1.99 ea 12-13 yrs ago). I had to stand n a second line for 10 min to have my receipt checked. Who n the hell would steal $12 worth of cat litter! The "greeter" said, "Well u never know." I don't shop at Walmart now. Walmart only hires ppl with an IQ of lower than 72. They may get a tax break for hiring those ppl, but do employees have to b fat, lazy and rude on top of being mentally handicapped? Walmart is not that much cheaper! I'd rather pay extra than put up with Walmart' "customer service". Btw, if I had stolen something I wouldn't have done so while trying to maneuver 150 lbs of cat litter AND I could easily have outrun that fat ass door monitor!
Jaxston Evans I understand this particular vid was recorded during a crisis, and the one employee seemed to b genuinely interested n helping a customer, however I found that that was not the case when I shopped at several Walmart n my area. It almost seems as through Walmart goes out of its way to hire rude employees. I think this is bc they don't have to b helpful or even courteous bc they cater to ppl who think they r getting more for their money and don't realize they can often get more bang for the buck elsewhere. I worked retail for a number of years so I'm not a customer who has to have a personal shopper when I'm n a store. So often I see Walmart employees busy talking and laughing w/other emps or friends and if a customer asks a question the emp acts like it's an imposition or they give wrong info to get rid of them. Perhaps Walmart has more money to spend on inefficient workers than I did, but I always trained emps to look around when walking thru an area to see if something needed to b picked up off the floor, if there was liquid spilled that could cause someone to fall, or if a customer obviously needed help. We were always too busy to spend a lot of time wasting time. I guess the thing I hated more than standing n line to check out for long periods of time, when the majority of register stands were closed, was having to stand n line to show my receipt to prove I hadn't stolen anything! Perhaps there r many stores that depend on this instead of "professional" LP staff, but I've never shopped at one. It would not have worked at my store. In fact, n order to stop anyone an emp would have had to see the customer conceal the item, never let that person out of sight, and follow them thru the last check stand. Asking someone to produce a receipt at the door would have opened a can of worms. In addition the "greeters" AKA receipt checkers don't really do anything except waste a customers time and do not have the best attitude. Rarely did one ever look at me, only glanced at my receipt and shoved it back at me without even a kiss my ass. It is inconvenient and demeaning. When I leave the store with my purchase, that merchandise is no longer the property of Walmart and they have no right to look at it. Like I said, the typical Walmart customer shops there not bc of the great service or for a pleasant experience but bc they r brainwashed into feeling they have to put up with it to get the most for their money. I found that I MIGHT have to spend a TINY bit more (sometimes better deals elsewhere on things I regularly buy or by price matching) I will not have to shop at Walmart, hopefully, ever again.
someone I know worked at Walmart...that particular store lost $80k in electronics the year before...they were told if you see someone sticking stuff down their pants they were supposed to think that they would pay for it...or if someone walked out w a tv to not follow them... ridiculous
I don't show my receipt, after paying from the register but at times the greeters stop people and will not let you pass unless you show again and they sniff through your bags.... they are not paid security guards or store security. MensHelpTv
I tell the receipt checkers, to call a cop if they think I'm stealing. I could see them doung this, with someone carring out something worth stealling. But when I'm trying to leave with an overflowing cart, filled with bags of groceries. And They want to see a receipt, is ridiculous.
all items walmart sees is "worth" stealing. if its not nailed down it can be stolen. There was a customer who tried to storm out the store with a cart full of food. She was arrested for shoplifting and assault.
I've worked for them, and unless management or asset protection sees you take something they can stop you at door. However they are NOT allowed to stop you outside of the store! That's the police officers job! As for checking the receipt, don't understand why that's necessary
I absolutely HATE Walmart and NEVER shop there. WHY do they look at everyone's receipt making them feel as they stole something? It's the only store I know of doing this. Not to mention they sell junk.
As a former WalMart door person: we do have the right to ask to see a receipt. If you're not stealing, what's the problem? Glancing at it? No. We're looking at the date, time, & number of items you purchased. If you have one bag & you have 15 items in it, I'm going to look at the receipt to see if it makes sense. Did you buy small items like a spool of thread, dental floss, a pack of gum? Also if I see you coming not from the front registers but from the back of the store, I'm going to ask. If you bought something & it took you 20 minutes to get to the front, that's a flag. Not all door people are the same, but then again they aren't employed for long either. If you don't want to keep your receipt, throw it out in the lobby trash. I had to check fellow employees, managers, it didn't matter. The ones that I didn't ask for a receipt were the ones I personally saw go through the line. In the end, when someone is trying to blatantly walk out with a $300 carpet shampooer who "left the receipt in the car" (she -passed- me on the way in with nothing), it cuts into my bonus & does trickle to all customers because the store will raise prices.
Propane at Walmart 101: Every register/cashier does, can, & do ring up propane. Now, sometimes when it gets busy & they call other departments for help, they might not be as familiar because they're trained very differently than a person to be a cashier -however they should ask a neighboring cashier for help. So, when you're rung up for a propane exchange this is what happens: the CSM's (Customer Service Manager) carry a little palm pilot thing that lets them know that someone needs propane assistance. Now I'm using my former store as an example but I'm pretty confident it's widespread: the CSM's are responsible for: getting change for all registers (entertainment, sporting goods, TLE, garden center), answer questions on the phone (if the phone attendant can't help them or transfer them to another department) they are there to handle "difficult" customers, sometimes they are needed at Customer Service (they are their own set of people but sometimes they need help), they are the first ones who get on a register (if there's more than one CSM) before they call for help, sometimes they have to do a price check because the department manager is gone & nobody to contact in say, the pillow aisle. They do a lot of running around. Sometimes there's a whole gaggle of them & other times there isn't (they called in, store cut hours, etc.). Additionally, each CSM is assigned their own set of keys for various things & my store did not hand out someone else's keys because that's almost ingrained in them as forbidden. They have to check keys in & out with an Assistant Manager or higher. Additionally, only the people who have been safety trained to exchange can do it. So, depending on how many CSM's are working, factor in how busy they are, etc. so yes, sometimes it does take a while. I'm not making excuses, I am just telling you that those are some of the many reasons, in addition to most stores (in my area anyway) are down to skeletal employee levels (economy -especially after ACA passed) it happens. Some managers will help out on the front end by taking over CMS duty. I've only seen Assistant Managers on a register during holiday season while one of the Co-Managers would hop on just to help out. My advice: plan ahead if you can. Do it during off-peak hours. Easier said than done. This video... unless you've worked in retail, spent a lot of time in stores like a Walmart, everyday people have no idea of what's going on to keep the store functioning.
1Zeusygoose I could care less if they go through my whole cart personally, because the more they nab the better. I think stores should have more say....If your honest you shouldn't have a problem with it. It really isn't a personal attack. Hell I've stopped people thieving ... I was after all trained for just such an occasion...I have reported and went with staff to confront the thief. It is time people, hold the wrong accountable...ignoring the problem's of our country embolden the wrong to do worse later.
1Zeusygoose I get checked all the time and I'm white, no problem just a minor inconvenience right, my cousin gets checked blows up Facebook about it and called it racists, there are certain times to pull out the race card and this is not one of them. Times are hard and theft is high people got jobs to do, btw why do old ladies walk away from their carts and turn their backs with their purses sitting in them unintended, wtf right! Happy holidays everyone and be safe and kind, life sucks on its own without people adding to it.
the mentality of "if you're not stealing what's the problem" is just that it is an invasion of privacy...just like stop and frisk. You can only search someone when you have a reason to believe they have done something wrong. You can't invade people's privacy under the assumption that they shouldn't care if they have done nothing wrong. Haven't you seen Harry Potter? This did not go over well at the Ministry of Magic and the muggle public should also not have to deal with that mentality as well.
They treat their elderly shoppers like crap, I've realized the neighborhood stores are much cheaper and has sales weekly and appreciate their customers. 👵
LOL... It's the aftermath of a hurricane, so everyone's resources are stretched and everyone's nerves are on edge. This old guy waits until the last hour before closing, when all but one exit are already closed, and he makes it as hard as possible for the employees to swap his tanks. Now he's standing by the only open exit bitching like everyone at Walmart needs to kiss his ass because he's the only hurricane victim. I would have told him we were out, also. The best part is when he says that every Walmart cashier, regardless of department, should be trained on how to ring up propane.
Yes, he's exactly right. Everyone that works as a cashier and ALL office staff are supposed to be smart enough to be able to ring anything up on these idiot proof cash registers, but obviously not because more often than not, their either to stupid or to lazy or both to do something as simple as that. And by the way, was you raised by assholes or are you that way all your own? I mean really? You think it's funny to disrespect an old person? What if that person was your grandfather and he needed help and just got made fun of? Not too funny now is it? You and people like you are what's wrong with the world.
There's more to swapping out propane tanks than ringing them up on the cash register, and the cashier can't just walk away to go outside. That's why they have associates assigned to specific departments. That's what he was bitching about. He shows up after that department closed and expected every employee within earshot to stop what they were doing and go out there to swap his tanks. I am an old guy, and if I acted like that, I would expect to be mocked. Go back to sleep.
Idk...I have compassion for human beings. I don't think he acted out of line...he isn't asking for a hand out. That's what's wrong with this world. A small mom and pop store would've taken care of him. Ijs
whats the purpose of looking at the receipts but not checking the bags?
Which is why i NEVER stop to let them do that. It's just plain dumb. Also very discriminatory it depends on which demographic area the Walmart is located.
Garth Rice they don’t know how to read.
I know you said this comment a year ago but they check for big items in your cart to see if you payed for it
They only supposed to check them if you have items not in a bag
Damnit Bobby try again we make more than that
You cannot bring tanks into a store, he was correct, why the manager did not have anyone go down there to help him is uncalled for
Yes it is. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left my position to help someone like this. I don’t care if I get fired. It would be for helping a customer. People need to remember… it’s the customers that pay your salaries.
that's why I hate Walmart they treat their customers like criminals
juicy lipz no they don't
juicy lipz You hate Wal Mart, but I guarantee your greedy ass shops at one. STOP SHOPPING @WAL MART to save a few pennies!
Michael K Goode I shop at target. I haven't been inside a Walmart in 2years
Stop Walmart it's evil!
Have fun with those high prices at Target. No thanks. Poor college student here.
Omg just charge the guy for the tank exchanges and tell him to bring his truck to the tank area and take his empties and give him his 2 full tanks and let him be on his way!!!!...god damn what's so hard about that?!?!
Dee Dee That would be easy and nice. This woman is on a power trip. She's stupid and mean!
Believe it or not theft from employees far more outweighs theft from customers.
if soooo many people would not steak items they wouldn't have to even "act" like they were checking receipts. lol.
This poor man, why in the hell weren't they more courteous to him? Damn shame!!
MJ Came To Slay because they hire anyone else off the street, they don’t. Other to teach them how to be appropriate with customers. No customer service skills whatsoever.
It’s cause the upper management at Walmart was trained by Killary k kilinton!
What are they looking for on the receipts in less than a second? The date? wtf?
I noticed the same thing happening at our Walmart here. The guy just looks at the receipts but everything is in bags and he doesn't even bother looking in them. I was thinking the same thing- whats the point of that?
Exactly!! Just to scare people? sad....
Exactly! Especially in a hurricane EMERGENCY! Just sad.
HelloMyFavoriteVids obvious stuff like you have a bag of stuff and one item on the reciept
She is so heavy that she needs a cane to support her own mass
Most of those people had bags of stuff. Why check their receipts? And they aren't checking them against the contents of the bag or shopping cart.
What a wonderful way to waste everyone's time and let them know they don't trust them at the same time.
Now if there was some guy walking out the store with a TV right before a hurricane was going to hit. Well, it may be time to see if he paid for that. But a cart with groceries and a jumbo pack of toilet paper?
usually they only check if you have something not bagged...so yea that was weird but since there is a hurricane they may be worried about people stealing.
andreo wym they check every other person not everyone ik because my cousin works a Walmart
Ari Amore yeah and that to they don't check u unless u have something open and even if u don't they check every other person but yeah your right
As a former walmart employee i can tell you the receipt thing was thought up by some stupid ass up in home office.
I never go to Walmart. I don't care how low their prices are.
Towanda Williams Whatever you say TOWANDA.
Oh Ive seen you there more than once Towanda Williams!
MsShaye Oh really, don't think so
I see you replied to me but not the 1st person who said you're name. I was only joking thou, but you think you're too good for Walmart, keep yourself at Target then.
MsShaye H Exactly. She needs to humble herself, thinking she too good to go to Wal-Mart.
Why are they stopping everybody at the door and checking their receipts???!!! They treat their customers like a bunch of thieves shopping at a jail!!! I would never spend my money there to be treated like that!!! It's fuckin Wal-mart, not Tiffany's!!! Wow!!!
Misty Sayitlikeitis I guess you dont shop at costco
Misty Sayitlikeitis right...I don't like Walmart...
dragon143143 it's a big difference in Walmart and Costco....
dragon143143
Don't have one by me.
that's shit is crazy. .
in fact, you DO NOT have to show your receipt. they can ask, but if you refuse they can't do a thing legally. They cannot detain you unless they see you take something and then they have to wait until you exit store.
Walmart still sucks!
Hank Hill ain't playing with yall lol
unless its out of sheer geographical necessity, NO ONE should be shopping at walmart
Agreed!!!
Why not? You're not making any kind of statement by not shopping there.
Yeah cause Walmart sucks!
@Mal Mack i agree 100%
@@DeoxysDNA stop giving money to the Walton Family
The ONLY reason I ever go in to any Walmart is to take a crap because that is what I think of Walmart
My local Walmart bathroom is the spot for male pedophiles
Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly!
Staci Stewart, what? How do u know that?
So glad you got your propane. That was ridiculous and let me tell you it's happened to me in Walmart where they say they're out of something and they're not. Just don't want to get it.
Welcome and thanks for shopping at WALMART. We think you stole something so show us your receipt to prove to us that you haven't. 😖
if all my stuff in bags, you not looking at my receipt.
Is that what that receipt checking ish is all about. I get tired of that so I tell them I don't have to stop and keep going.
Julie Moncrief They have to make sure the items that are not placed in bags were paid for so she's just looking to see if that item is on the receipt.
OLUCHI OLUWASEYI so do I, as I'm leaving I tell them u think I stole something call law enforcement
If i was this guy,i would have never stood there that long without asking for a supervisor or manager, what crappy service
so Walmart lies to the elderly who need fuel. I am not shopping at Walmart ever again.
Eliabeth LaVersa My thoughts, exactly!!
Eliabeth LaVersa they weren't lying
It's hard to understand why they would lie to keep from selling him an item. You would think they would be just the opposite, selling him anything.
She's there every single day. Spending those food stamps.
Gus Tav who has food stamps?
WHAT could they possibly gain by not selling him the propane? I hope corporate looked into this and fired those involved!
First off.... Wal Mart employees never do their jobs.... They are just looking at the receipts and not looking at the items in the buggies....
They have enough cams
and enough employees to spy on the real thieves!!
Sara Al-ot ...Yup! They are lazy and wanna get paid, but don't wanna do the work! Sounds like Hillary supporters if ya ask me! Lol
This is why we need another store like KMart so they can put Walmart out of business, this store is a joke
We had kmart and damn Walmart put them outta business I miss kmart I wish they'd come back
YES IF THEY LIED YES SHOULD BE FIRED
The south and their propane. It's like that show King Of The Hill y'all hear. Lol
OMG!!! are you ok???
Sugar Jones thanks but yes, this was 4 years ago. I don't even live in the same state anymore
Mandie Robinson
I'm still so sorry that happened to you :[
Mandie Robinson dang
Mandie Robinson did u win
They don't even check the receipt, they just put a mark on it...it's ridiculous!
they act like their costco. fcking crazy
At least Costco treats their customers like they are human...
helookalikaman79 cus of that membership doe
Buffy love tyinus Yes and if I would be treated like a human at walmart I wouldn't mind being a paid member like at Costco's, but since they treat customers (and employees) like shit, why pay for a membership? Walmart could be as good as Costco, but they are to greedy to "waste" money by being nice to customers
helookalikaman79 no
I used to work for these types of jobs etc when I was younger.
I can say most Walmart employees are at our Walmart so stop whining about people making legitimate complaints
I, as a Walmart employee, hate when customers say, "I hate shopping here at this store, etc." It's like, then don't shop here. Go to Publix or Target!
Kenneth Mcvay you do not have to put them in a bad light they care a fungus good light pains them
Walmart sucks! Really.
Is there a sign before you enter wal-puke that you must show a receipt before your allowed to leave? If there is no sign warning customers what they are doing is illegal.
Rick Brick if you watch them check the receipt, it's for about 3 seconds. What are they checking it for anyway? They don't even count the customers items or nothing. stupid....
ya but they have proof that your stealing not assume
, every once in a while though ill end up at a walmart that does this. and one time i remember i saw a lady and she was getting her receipt checked and they actually looked in he bag bc she had a short receipt but a heavy ass bag w like 10 items, so yeah she was stealing. but thats her i guess
Trendsetter5420
Trendsetter5420
I have never seen Walmart employees checking receipts of customers trying to leave the store. That in itself is crazy. Is this because it's in a hurricane?
Tammy Johnson no they do that in Norwalk ca too
Tammy Johnson Every Wal-Mart I've ever been to checks your receipts. Usually they only check it if you have any kind of boxed items in your cart. I've never heard of a Wal-Mart NOT check your receipts. I thought they all did or at least they are supposed to. It's cause all the trashy people shop there.
No. I've been to Walmart in Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee and never had my receipt checked.
If Mississippi isn't a 'black' area, Idk what is.
no it happens all the time..you might not have experienced it because of where you live.
the Wal-Mart I work for is not like this.. the costumer comes first.
the COSTumer....
they are not suppose to be looking at receipts if the items are in bags. and for them to treat that man like this is wrong.
Jerri Robertson people can steal by bagging things as well.
Ok.... I get what you're saying but they're not supposed to be checking receipts if items are in the bag
Jerri Robertson
They can check your receipt if your items are in a bag. It's up to the store manager if that's the way him/her want their store ran.
I've had this happen to me at Targets, Home Depot, and Best Buy to name the big box stores.
Jerri Robertson they are allowed to. I did Loss Prevention at Walmart so I do know.
Target lower your prices and carry more products and I'd never go to Wal-Mart.
Rosiegiggles 69 Yup! Walmart sucks!
@@robert.m4676 and they have a lot of fights at walmart too especially if it black Friday
I've noticed that a lot of American stores check EVERYONE'S receipt as they walk out, and it's so weird.
Vin Daniel Lots of thiefs in America.
Aloha Landscape & Fencing maybe if they didn't tax the fuck out of us for the Section 8 low life's some wouldn't have to steal.
Bree V. I feel your pain but still not an excuse. If your going to steal then font get caught or don't do it. You can't take someone else's chicken because your hungry and think it's ok. What if I walk into your home and take stuff that you work hard for.
Baked Brie... section 8 is like a crumb of the pie. Let's talk about military spending.
Standing in line to leave the store? If I saw that on my way in, I would turn around and leave!
shame on them all, a bunch of damn idiots, all those employees standing there and not one person can help this man for over 45 min. Just a shame.
In some country they don't have security like that in prison...
Lol now this does seem a bit extreme!!!! You wait in the only 1 or 2 long lines that are open for check out then you also have to wait in another long line to get checked out again and have your receipt checked- And for small items??? I thought receipt check was for big purchases like a big tv, computer, etc
Ms ch usually if the item isn't in the bag, they will check receipt!
If he would have handled that like a polite gentleman they probably would have helped him.
they feel like big shot asking for receipts and just glancing at them
Wow! It's that bad where they have to check every persons receipt for theft? I'm glad I don't shop there.
I see!
She makes me sick. She should be fired. I'm sure karma will come and bite her in the you know what. Sorry you had to go through that, I can't imagine. You handled it a lot better than I could of.
Really no proof. His word against hers.
if ya didn't know .. people will go into a store with an old receipt or one they found on the ground. old bags find the items and try to walk out with them.. the Walmart by my house checks every receipt. .. for the date not the items.. sometimes it's for the items if it is a TV or something big they need to check to see if the codes match.. if you don't know the kinds of hussles people pull on Stores then you should not talk
I've been noticing an influx of reciept checking videos. Noticed they're all in the USA. Glad we don't have that problem in Canada.
As long as they made him wait he should have gotten it for free just for his troubles.
I love how all the sheeple line up and wait to take their own personal property out, because a civilian wants proof it's theirs.
What is wrong with these people?
"What's the big deal? It's just 2 seconds?"
It belongs to you, not the store.
We went to our first Walmart in Florida, thinking it would be like Asda. What a shithole....with really unfriendly staff. Though customer service was king in the USA, but this certainly wasnt the case.
Ronnie Roo65 I live in Florida. I refuse to spend my hard earned money there. Very rude, un-welcoming staff at Wal-Mart
Customer service as king in the USA went out when the Walmarts came in. Its true.
+nana love
I love in Florida too, and I HATE Walmart. They have terrible people skills. Where in Florida so you live??? I live in Brevard County.
Orange county... not to far from you 😊
Hi, we were visiting from the UK.
The workers at my Wal-Mart are older sweet ladies who always are so nice I never saw how messed up it is.
why the fuk would she lie bout that?
She'd lie because she doesn't know what she's doing! Big bad manager!
I totally agree
Sheila Grover right
totally irrelevant
meebaby20 um no it's not people like this are pathetic
As a whole, Walmart sucks. The Walmart in our town, though, has good customer service and really helpful employees. Well, all of them except one older gentleman who is rude and hateful to anyone who asks him for help.
I'm sure due to the hurricane they were checking receipts to thwart shop lifting.
no it happens year round in many stores all over the country. stores with high theft rates have employees who are paid to check receipts. It happens in Costco and Sams club as well. It's a legal way for these stores to express racism and it has been happening for years.
G name rasicm? How do you get that out of receipts being checked? You had to African American woman checking every-one, all different races!
G name. you my friend ARE a racist
gmomsoup Shit, damn Fox news strikes again. LMFAO!!!
Jessica Love I am WELL aware I lived through the civil rights era. And I am a firm believer in EVERYONES rights. No hate here baby
The solution to all of the complaining of checking receipts (which is perfectly legal) to rude employees. Don't shop there!
The first 2.40 minutes of this video is just customers getting there trollies checked. So just skip to this time & go from there 😁
What the fuck is a trolly? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA
Charlie Hogan I know right
she was too lazy to have someone go to exchange tanks, disgusting behavior during an emergency.
U don't need to show them ur receipt once u paid for the items it belongs to u u r the ownership of ur items
Myra Claire They do that here in Canada too it's dumb
Myra Claire it's how they know you're stealing stuff. receipts verify if you paid for it or not
Myra Claire not until you leave the store
Myra Claire exactly. only places like bjs, Sam's club and costco etc you need to provide reciept
yes, you need to show that you paid for the items you are attempting to take out of the store with you. this is not Beverly HIlls
I've since boycotted Walmart. The Walmart in Bloomington, Minnesota is full of RUDE associates who don't know what customer service is.
See Vang dude I'm from mn
anyone realized that redox is not red but blue hahaha
Redbox is red where I live
It’s interesting on how you wait in the long lines just to get checked out now you’ve got a wait in a line to get out of the building.
I love how they just glance at the receipt not even looking in the bags. They just do it out of a power trip.
Instead of stopping people at the door, they should stand with the cashiers if they don't trust them.
omgah!! if thier merchandise is in a bag the why do they have to show a receipt?!! items not bagged, ok but to tackled and have your items that you paid for rummaged through is ridiculous and harassment! this is exactly why i no longer shop at this mad house!
dreamcatcher Walmart was losing billions of dollars in stolen merchandise and people still can steal things and put into their bags when leaving the store. So it isn't unnecessary
where did you see them looking through the bags? They just looked at the receipt and kept it moving.
I see some people saying you don't have to show your receipt at the door if your items are bagged. If you don't they'll stop you and block the exit. How are you all getting away without the extra door check?! I don't want to be detained if I refuse...
They're opening themselves up for trouble. What if I paid for all my items and threw the receipt away prior to walking out? Now what?
AllAmericanGuy01 Unless you paid cash it can be tracked. BJ's requires you to keep your receipt until you leave the store.
B Davis Right. But my question is, what if I paid for everything and it can't be traced?
It can unless you paid cash. If you said you paid cash they would probably take you to Security and check video tape.
Don't think anyone at Wal-Mart has ever checked my receipt.
B Davis Unless an employee witnessed me shoplift, Walmart cannot force me to stay while they do their investigation. There's been plenty of times Walmart tried to stop me and check my receipt...There's been plenty of times I smiled and kept walking.
Yes she need's to be fired and never work with people
this is why I hate Walmart only store that harasses you by making you show a receipt on the way out the door
They have to. Because everybody that shops at Wal-Mart either is a criminal or a douche bag. I shop at Target I don't have to deal with that.
I think it might depend on the location. High crime area with people shoplifting all the time. It is not like that in my Wal-Mart. I think there was maybe one time where the cops were called because a guy had a van full of stuff and nothing was in bags and he couldn't find the receipt. It is possible with this Wal-Mart that since there was a huricane or going to be one, they may have been taking precautions against looting.
so since they don't check the contents just the date on the receipt you get a receipt with the current date on it go in the store fill up a shopping cart when the store is real busy and and waltz right out the store ha ha ha brilliant Wal Mart LMAO
why were they even recording the shoppers showing receipts?
because he's a BT-Lemen Hunit like you
lmao
He's standing there to record the manager over propane.
108 St Fresh Foods like yo mama
“I’m not gonna check any of your bags, but hand me your receipt so I can look at it for half a second and feel a tiny bit of power”
Walmart treats their workers like slave and their customers like criminals..I love america😂
Love how they say they're closing when they are a 24/7 store so they be lying for sure.
why i dont shop at fuckmart ! lmfao @ Sam
I am proud to say that I have not been in a Walmart in 7 years. I would rather go to Target and spend a bit more money.
walmart is so bootleg...shitty and broke. cant even afford legit security. so they have to go through each bag while checking receipt.
They do this to me I'm going right back to customer service and return everything i bought. asap!
I'd rather spend more at Target for quality customer service!!!
ItsQueen Babii they have undercover cops
Manager should be ashamed. I'm so sorry they did this to you. Get their names and call Corporate. This is Absurd
Sarah Willoughby this was during a crisis it's not a normal procedure
Jaxston Evans
I understand this particular vid was recorded during a crisis, and the one employee seemed to b genuinely interested n helping a customer, however I found that that was not the case when I shopped at several Walmart n my area.
It's just a way to prevent shoplifting. They only ask for receipts if you have items that are not bagged.
Sarah you get it. 👏🏻
Kayley Owens then why don't they get bigger bags????
someone I know worked at Walmart...that particular store lost $80k in electronics the year before...they were told if you see someone sticking stuff down their pants they were supposed to think that they would pay for it...or if someone walked out w a tv to not follow them... ridiculous
Smh!!!!! I wouldn't show them shit!!!!!!!
It is disgraceful to have a store you trust and shop at to lie to a customer. This person should be fired, enough said!
what is this same club exit line
i cant believe how many people don't mind their privacy being violated by a huge corporation that dosnt trust it's customer base!
how is she lying? during storms propane tanks and water are the first items to go. that's why you stock up prior to a storm and not last minute..
Not in this case.
janki bane He said he saw them she was being mean
janki bane he said they were capped and sealed brand new ready to be sold by appearance
I don't show my receipt, after paying from the register but at times the greeters stop people and will not let you pass unless you show again and they sniff through your bags.... they are not paid security guards or store security.
MensHelpTv
are they checking receipt s of people with bags
Andrea Stevens yea they are making sure they aren't stealing
Andrea Stevens they only checking persons who have items aren't bag. Well, at least that's how they do it where I live.
I love how black people protects the masters stuff while master makes billions you make just over minimum wage
I absolutely HATE Walmart and NEVER shop there. WHY do they look at everyone's receipt making them feel as they stole something? It's the only store I know of doing this. Not to mention they sell junk.
Let me guess...the woman "checking" receipts is "disabled"

Some people don't deserve jobs in customer service. Shame on them shame on Wal-Mart for having people with low moral running their businesses.
I was after all
trained for just such an occasion...I have reported and went with staff to confront the thief.
Just an after thought....Shop online, no bag check,no traffic,no need for gas,yada,yada....
the mentality of "if you're not stealing what's the problem" is just that it is an invasion of privacy...just like stop and frisk.
Duane Hull Agreed. I can't stand self entitled people.
Duane Hull yeah why the hell didn't he do it himself??
Ijs
I have a friend who refuses to stop for the receipt checks. He doesn't steal anything he just doesn't play their game.
