I am a photographer myself and I find that in photography these days there are a lot of rules, let’s try to remember that this is an artistic profession, it’s ok to experiment and try different lighting, it’s also totally fine to leave the diaper on if you are wrapping the baby! Everyone has their own way and as long as you are producing beautiful images that’s what matters
Was wondering if you explain how not wearing a diaper would work. What if the shoot is purple themed and the baby makes in the purple fabric right in the beginning?
this is not necessary, I know many amazing photographers that don't take off nappies, that are award winning, including myself. I would just implement ways to avoid taking off the nappy such as using nappy covers, adjusting the nappy so it isn't so bulky, making sure that you know how to liquify in photoshop and that you can also clone out nappy showing if any! :)
I love your videos! I have studied to become a photographer ten years ago, but I have never taken photos of newborns and now I am starting my own business I really want to get into that. Also your studio tour is so inspiring! Greetings from Austria, Yours Natascha

hi i am doing my first newborn photography today. your info is very helpful. i looked at your site and i see you do low resolution photos. i am interested in knowing why? is it because it makes the image look softer and really compliments the type of pics your taking? is that something you adjust on your camera or when you do editing?
They get low resolution photos for free - they are big enough to post on social media!! If they want the high resolution images for printing they have to purchase prints first! I want my clients purchasing prints not just storing digital files on their computer!
Swaddling them in half so tightly can't be good for their hips and spine. Plus, it tends to look like the baby has no bottom half. Just odd looking in my opinion.

Hi where can I purchase the bean bags? Thanks

Hi what light would you recommend getting for a beginner newborn photographer?
Alien bee 400 from Paul C. Buff
Where can I sign up
Hi where I can buy the pay doll that you used so I can practice as long I wach your videos
www.standinbaby.com/
I ALWAYS leave a diaper on when wrapping a baby. 20 years of photography and I’ve never ever had a problem with the diaper showing.
Can i photograph a 12 days old baby? ( How old should a baby be to photograph?)
Absolutely! 10-14 is my favorite age although we've had success at up to a month old!
How can purchase the doll your using? Name of it ?
It is called the "StandinBaby"
Analiese if she still doesn’t have a name
