    This is a great podcast, I’d love to see more of these. Keep it up Omar. You are so authentic and humble that it’s reassuring for us struggling to find our path to see the process and not just the intimidating end result of a pro photographer ❤

    I asked my wife to watch this vlog with me since she's been a pediatric nurse for 30 yrs... and my wife agreed with everything Stephanie had to say about the little darlings... which in my mind gives Stephanie a huge amount of credibility... I was so impressed with Stephanie's imagination, her photographic eye, and just her attention to the details... so impressive I recommended her to my cousin who's looking for an infant photographer for her granddaughter... great interview Omar...

    Omar, I watch all your videos so obviously I watch the interview ones just like this one and I can’t say that I like one better than another, on a scale from 1 to 10 they are all at least a 12, your guests are very pleasant, honest and open in the sense that they're not holding back any information, they don't have any “trade secrets” that they don't want to share, they all (just like you) want to help the new photographers. Yes, I said it before and I’ll say it again, you’re a very good interviewer. Happy new year !!!

    Great information from a great new born photographer. The big bonus, she shoots with Nikon. Not allot of female photographers in the Nikon camp. From my observations, many female photographers shoot with Canon. Not understanding why that is.

    Quick question. Your guest talks about lenses, and says she started out with a 50, is that the same 50 I would have on my Fuji crop T2, say. Or what is the Fuji T2 size camera equivalent? . Thanks.

    • @sidknee4975
      @sidknee4975 3 роки тому

      The fact that she said she was also using the 24-70 most likely means she was shooting full frame and not crop. On a crop sensor 35mm and 50mm would do you great.
      I used the nifty 50 on crop sensor for two years no problem but because you’re further away from the baby then a spotter is absolutely essential.

    I might know the last/best baby you photographed, Omar?! She was 2 weeks old and that was the day she woke up and started crying (didn't stop for 2 weeks until I got dairy out of my system!). We know you loved the subject(s) even if you didn't love the gig, and we still think you did a great job! (wink)

    ugh. I wish I knew all the tips before taking photos of my baby niece when she was a newborn! now she's 1 and walk on her own. Would the same tips apply to baby photography?

    • @ogonzilla
      @ogonzilla  3 роки тому

      Definitely patience. A one year old doesn't care about those around them. So photos at that age are mostly about giving them an activity to photograph. Lol

    • @stefaniediamond8878

      And giving them space to roam, as they get older! I don't love studio photography for babies older than two, they need to explore.

    World never stops to surprise me, newborn photography in a studio posing babies with weird attributes, removing babyacne in postprocessing and calling it natural. For me this is really weird, but perhaps this is very much part of the american culture? . ....love the familyphotos though, beautiful

    I don’t understand the concept here, at all... when you think of babies, you think of parents interacting with them. Why is there so little parental interaction in these images? The scenarios are not realistic, who would leave a baby alone in a barrel?

    • @ogonzilla
      @ogonzilla  3 роки тому

      Google Anne Geddes. She started a movement. We didn't showcase parents holding the baby. Stefanie does that as well. But c'mon man...that Harry Potter 😁

    • @mortenthorpe
      @mortenthorpe 3 роки тому

      @@ogonzilla that’s even worse! I mean Anne’s photos are even worse! Such generally unrealistic scenarios...! Why not try and show a baby as being cared for? That’s how it makes sense, and becomes memorable. Why would you want to remember your baby as hanging in a pouch from a meat hook? Or dressed up as a cabbage patch kid? This is silly beyond reason... it’s setting a scene just because you can... doesn’t mean you should!

    Of course newborns are going to make mistakes in their photography, they are newborns
