Prior Infiniti tech here. The best sounding exhaust I've heard on the VR30 are the Soho Motorsports exhaust, Fast intentions, and a variation of thr SpeedCultureStudios exhaust, but instead of a muffler in the middle you have no muffler but 2 borla resonators, one behind each exhaust tip. Intakes, i like the Z1 and ams intakes. If you want a budget intake setup, get silicone turbo inlet hoses, and afe dry flow filters. Do a catchcan asap from Z. The VR is direct injected so youll need it. Change the oil to 5w30 if it came with 0w20 from factory . 0w20 is too thin for this motor for the type of driving we do. Idk if the z has an upgraded oil cooler but on the infiniti models the oil cooler was absolutely trash. Definitely upgrade thst as well. Not tryna tell you what to do, im just passionate about these cars.

I've been wanting a Z since I was 8.... 35yr later I'm finally 8n a position to make that dream come true. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to travel across the country to pick one up and the 3 local dealers are all trying to get a free Z with the insane markup. Waited this long, guess another yr or 2 won't kill me

Maybe give your thoughts on the 4th gen mazda 3 hatchback. I'm cross shopping the manual hatchback with the GTI mainly, either base Mk8 or SE Mk7.5. Will be my daily and probably won't see much track or autocross time.

Dude if you paid $90,000 for that Z you got robbed. Did they at least use a gun? No but really for the Z performance it’s around $53,000 with options and destination you should pay 58 or 59 grand TOPS! How do I know this? Because a friend of mine right here in Louisiana just bought one e and that’s how much he paid for it. I don’t know where you got that 90 grand but that’s crazy. You can literally buy 2 of the Sport trim cars for 90 grand. About 43 grand per car. So yea you can get 2 Z’s in the sport trim for 90 grand.

The vr30 is just as fast if not better than the b58. 1000whp on ams alpha 10 turbos. It also sounds better. The Supra only has stiffer sway bars, stiffer suspension, and better tires. An aftermarket Nissan z is better than an after market Supra.

That’s a very custom exhaust, by the way the borla part aren’t resonators, they are borla polyphonic harmonizes which make the car sound much better.

I love the stock wheels so I went with 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers. Looks pretty good imo

From the mouths of babes, Nissan says it’s the same chassis as the 370 with updates, that’s all it shares architecture wise.
