My tip: Beware the Airport Rail Link.. If you have no bags it is OK. But often the train is so full when traveling towards the airport that it is virtually impossible if you have suitcases. Even if you start at the first station - the platform can be so full that it is impossible to navigate with a bag. My tip is, if you are traveling with bags, get a large taxi. The regular taxis, often have LPG tanks in the trunk (boot) so there is no room for bags.
I am Thai living overseas, I found this video is very helpful to visitor/traveller/foreigner who plans to visit Thailand in the near future. btw, I thought we still have the Green SuperRich there (Not the Orange one)??? Maybe not anymore ?? Thank you for a great video clip ka.. khob khun ka
Superrich made the good reputation about the best rate of currency exchange. There are 3 colors of same business family but the orange one is original. I used them for 3 decades.
Taxi from BKK: in addition to the 50 Baht surcharge, passengers need to pay the expressway tolls, eg if going to Sukhumvit area it’s 2 tolls ( 45 and 25=70). I prefer the train: changing onto the BTS ( doesn’t work for very late, eg midnight arrivals of course)…
The train is easy if you don't have to much luggage. Imagine arriving at Terminal 21 with big luggage trying to get to your hotel at the end of Sukhumvit 13. (Just example)
Sawadee krap!! For the best currency exchange rates it's Super Rich near Pratunam (not Asok BTS!) stop to Ratchaprarop with Airport link and go direction to Big C pratunam. It's 200 meter before Big C. It's the place for the best exchange of Thailand: all the day it's full of peaple, for change money you need to wait 15 or 20 minutes!!!
SUPERRICH (green ) and SuperRich (orange) are well known currency exchange and they have branches all over town and in the malls. Don't forget to bring your passport with you because they need to verify you identity.
Another great video buddy. SIM card in the Airport Vs in the malls near Siam which is better? Glad you said Vasu I've been searching through your videos trying to find it you mentioned it before!
I have used the lower level exchange places several times and agree they are the best at the airport. Question: are the SIM card prices any better in the lower level as well. I usually buy one right next to baggage claim and didn’t think there are better deals outside. Advice?
Hi there. Thanks for this, very helpful. I’m a bit confused though. In your video, you use the ‘buy’ rate for your conversion. Isn’t it the ‘sell’ rate we should be using, when exchanging our currency to Thai Baht?
According to ChatGPT…. When you're in Thailand and want to exchange U.S. dollars for Thai baht, you typically use the "sell" rate. The "sell" rate is the exchange rate at which the currency exchange service or bank will sell Thai baht to you in exchange for your U.S. dollars. This rate is typically less favourable for you because it includes a margin or fee that the exchange service or bank charges for the convenience of exchanging your currency. It's the rate at which they make a profit from the exchange. Conversely, the "buy" rate is the rate at which the exchange service or bank will buy U.S. dollars from you in exchange for Thai baht. This rate is more favorable for you, as it typically does not include a margin or fee and is closer to the actual market exchange rate. And if this holds true, the first exchange booth from your video is higher ($35.13) than the second one is ($34.80). I’d love to know your thoughts on this though, in case i’ve gotten it wildly wrong! It definitely seems odd that all the sell rates are higher than the buy rates. That’s effectively them saying they want Dollars more than they want Baht!?
I already have my pre booked taxi and will meet them at level 3. Are there sim card shops on this level? Or would it be better until I am in hua Hin and visit a 7/11 or TrueMove store?
Bkk or *Suvarnabhumi* is not only biggest airport in Bangkok but the whole of Thailand 😊 for a cheaper taxi ride, go up to arrival taxi drop off and get a cab from there, you'll save quite a bit 👌as they won't be any sur charges added to the rate 🫣
Thanks for the useful information. I was wandering what time the money exchanges and the SIM card vendors open? We are arriving at 5:40 AM on a Monday. Hoping to catch the train as there will be 5 of us.
Several banks in the USA refund the arm fees. I pave been given good rates from Aeon, there are not many locations. It would have been nice to show the actual bills and coins
hello at 7:40 am there is a thailand visite card. This is a reloadable debit card provided by Superich with a 30 TBH withdrawal fee at the ATM However, I don't know how to recharge it (cash or credit card).
The reason the rates get better in that floor; is it is outside of the airport....they have comparable rates to one you would find elsewhere in Bangkok. To their credit I had little choice when I went, arrived just before midnight from narita...from Houston iah so not much was open.
@@globaltravelmate There is news about the Thai Supreme Court ruling the Ashton Asoke - Rama 9 project as being illegal and will be dismantled. I posted a link to it and asked if you have heard about this news? The comment then disappeared...
Handy tips. Just a minute extra walk to save good money. Its amazing only a few hundred meters.
Cheers for the good information.. I’ve been traveling there for 25 years but never knew about this and the savings ✌️

it would be cool to make a video on the subject😄good job
Can I exchange different country currency to Thai or should I have my own country currency?

DO NOT BUY YOUR THAI SIM AT THE AIRPORT!! 7/11 are everywhere and the staff are great and will do it all for you while you wait!👍
Can you ever help me out if I ever go there
does Thailand accept Saudi currency for exchange?

Do you also get a good exchange rate for $50 bills or just $100 bills? USD
Another 👍video
Normally the exchange rates for 100 USD bills is a bit better then 50 USD bills.
Is the currency for super rich the same in the airport and at other super rich in the city
City has a bit better exchange.
Is the airport rate better than the around Sukumvit Nana area?
I watched the rest of the video. So Vaso near Nana
Around Nana the rates are better. Superrich is also good :-)
Can anyone tell me what time these money exchange both are open to please 🙏
Superrich closes at 23:30
What time in the evening are the exchange bureaus open to please ?
Superrich closes at 23:30

They are suposed to open at 05:30
Are they open at midnight, our flight lands at 1130 pm. Thanks in advance.
The last one closes at midnight. If you land at 11:30 it might be to late. I would just exchange a little bit amd do the rest in town.
Hello 1000usd is good for bath ? +30.0000 ?
I have lots of 25 cents coins (US)
Where can I exchange coins to Thai Baht?
I don't think so :-)
I never know there is such a big difference between the offices.
Several banks in the USA refund the arm fees. I pave been given good rates from Aeon, there are not many locations. It would have been nice to show the actual bills and coins
You didn’t say how much difference between big note and 20 dollar
Indeed I did not mention it, because i don't know.
