Wow, you are incredibly skilful on the tools, and I’m jealous of your creativity. Stumbled across your channel and watched the entire series. You deserve way more views after that effort.
Great build mate this is something I've being considering doing for some time now and you inspired me to just do it, so far I've deleted the air box and fitted a 28mm flat slide carby through a velocity stack and relocated the battery up under the seat to gain a nice empty void instead of those shitty side covers and I'm now in the process of modifying a new slightly larger header pipe to mate up with a traditional style reverse cone muffler, next up she'll be getting a big bore, high comp piston and cam, should hopefully make for a fun little nugget!
Love the way it looks, love the way it sounds and love the way it was made🤙 It was super fun to follow you on this project. Obviously I’m hypnotized by the grey color! Looks so damn cool! Well done again mate
Hello, I loved this project of yours. I want to do the same project on my own motorcycle. Have you changed the front shock absorbers and do you remember the tire sizes? I would really apreciate if you help
Hi mate I haven’t changed the front only the back…here’s a bit of a break down of those parts including tire sizes👍 ua-cam.com/video/Jf72MlgH880/v-deo.htmlsi=Nl4lWf4L9EcjgvDQ
Great build mate! I got the same bike and wanted to do a brat scrambler build on it. Can you upload another vid just showing the bike off? We didn't get a proper look at it side on and finished.
After watching this I just bought a cb125 off marketplace, pretty well gonna copy what you did. Where did you get the seat and whats the exhaust? Appreciate any insights you gained.
Hey Murray good on ya mate great little bike👌 the seat was just a eBay special as was the exhaust slip on. I just bought normal 1-1/2 inch exhaust pipe to pie cut into the shape I wanted for the back half of the exhaust. Here’s the links of the same part I used on mine. FYI the exhaust was unnecessarily loud, just worth mentioning😅 www.ebay.com.au/itm/374381772334?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=vHltgnMCSka&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=uxvbrl0xr52&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY www.ebay.com.au/itm/393048018585?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=PlkdG2exTJq&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=uxvbrl0xr52&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
So freaking awesome to be honest. Looks so much better and looks almost completely new. What year was the bike from? You could sell that and make a profit if you'd like. You plan on keeping it? Or are you moving on to another project? You sold your ducati right? Also, I didn't miss the DVMC keyring 😉👍
Haha nah I’ll just keep it to flog around on and for friends to use after I get another bike to replace the Ducati, yeah I sold it. Thanks for watching man I’m glad you like it the bikes a 2015 model but old tech on it carby and stuff…gotta rep the DVMC😉
It’s still running the standard carb for now but I will definitely need to get another one soon to offset the exhaust change. Thanks for watching mate.
Fantastic series and story, super well done. I am learning on one of these, aiming to have my P's early next year and to ride it to Alice Springs. What did you do to the suspension and tyres, especially the tyres - I would be looking for higher profile dirt road tyres. Thank you so much for the videos.
That’s great man I’m sure you’ll have a blast travelling to Alice springs on it. The suspension was just replaced with the same spring and shock style just 10mm longer to get a bit more travel space in the back of the bike. The tyres were super difficult to find because of the rim size the front is a SHINKO SR244 UNIVERSAL 3.00-18 and the back is a full knobbie if I was you I’d put a set of shinko on it as the knobbie is way to rough for long distance and just not ideal. Thanks for watching the series glad you got something out of it✊
Thanks for the vid. I’ve just done up a NBC110 and am looking at this as my next project. Do you think you’d fit a 4.00x 18 tyre front and back. I’d also like to put an older style tank like you started with. Do you know the dimensions of the original. I End product looks great.
Hey mate that sounds awesome love a good little project. I don’t think you would fit the 4.00 on the front. I have a 3.00 x18 and while there’s probably enough room between the tyre and the forks to fit the 4.00 x18 you wouldn’t get a front guard in there. It would need to be mounted with brackets or some other style up higher. With the guard and the 3.00 x18 I only have about 5-7 mm clearance either side. As for the back there’s heaps of room you’ll definitely fit one. Just worth mentioning this is tyre specific too if your tyre isn’t as knobby you’ll probably fit a bigger one as I believe they’re measured from the carcass not the actual edge of the tyres tread pattern. I can’t remember the tank dimensions unfortunately I would have loved to get it on there and change the look a bit more. Hope this helps mate enjoy your build, cheers for watching.
@@anotherguyonabike4726 thanks mate. I was thinking of removing the front guard or mounting it up as you said. I’d really love to be able to put an older style tank on. Thanks for your help.
