- Today Cool Quotes tells of the times that Sidney Poitier and Sammy Davis Jr both crossed the line with their Co-Star, Eartha Kitt.
This is the kind of stuff women had to deal with back in the old days of Hollywood, that would now fall under the Me Too category
Wow, what a cool, fierce lady! I jumped over here from your biography, just had to hear what happened with Sidney Poitier and Sammy Davis Jr! Fascinating lady all round. It's wonderful that you keep these stories alive and I love how you interject with your own reactions as well.
Wow, thank you!
Me too! What a great woman with a, hard to learn but, wonderfully inspiring story!
I have always enjoyed Eartha Kitt. It's good to learn that she was always a class act and believed in truth because that is absent from the entertainment world today. She suffered from telling the truth but I hope she is reaping the rewards in the afterlife where it counts. 😊
Thank s for this follow up from your othe channel video! She had such an interesting life, would make a great mini series or movie!
I totally agree!
It would be an event. I totally agree!!!
Loved this video! I had such a crush on Eartha Kitt when she was on Batman. She was Cat Woman.
You should always tell the truth and seek the truth. Good motto.
She was the real deal!
saw her in the 1990s at the Hackney Empire along with the Inkspots (2 of them, original Inkspots!). The definition of a class act, and she knew it. She'd earned it.
This was soon good and just to see how she overcame the Trauma from the past to see how she connected to people and celebrities. Blessings
In the 1970’s I worked with Eartha at Studio One Backlot. I did lighting for her on stage. I have other story’s to share.
No. No, you did not. Never.
Mmmm interestingly delicious….tell us more!!! 😂🥰💯✌🏽🔜
Please do 🙂
A woman of principles 👏 what a great person. Thanks for uploading mate.
Glad you enjoyed it
She was stunning and good on her for not falling for Sammy and Sidneys charm offensive.
I suppose, good for her, this much is for sure, always tell the truth
This was so funny.
Though Ertha's plan was genius and successful💍💎, she must have been on a stressful roller-coaster mission cause of Sammy's ego ideas !
Fantastic Diva good end story 🌹
She is a Beautiful Soul and she didn't let stardom change her Heart. She is a very beautiful woman 🤩🤩
Another good one! Love it
Great follow up.

Great follow up video!!!💛
Glad you liked it!!
Good for Eartha!!!
Sammy Davis Jr. has no game lol. How pathetic. Eartha Kitt is an amazing person.
Love your channel’s♥️
Thank you so much!!
This is the classic story of every girls experience. Boys are always competing to win a girl, for kudos. It's never genuine. But that's their nature. I steer clear of these types. But I love Anna Lucosta one of my favorites. Sammy and Eartha's chemistry was great. But on the film with her and Sidney they had 0. But they are all my heroes 💚🎶💯
Interesting. I can totally understand why these men would have been infatuated with her. She was beautiful and more than likely very seductive and a little flirtatious. Their quoted behaviors do seem excessive and over the top though. However, I would imagine that both Sidney and Sammy were that way because they were exposed to so many beautiful women. Backtracking a bit to the other Eartha Kitt video that brought me here, I also found it interesting that you mentioned things never got more intimate between Orson Wells and Eartha. I kind of found that one extremely hard to believe. Cool Orson, and sexy Eartha? Naa, come on. Just looking at the photos of them together, I really felt that it had to have happened at least once. Maybe that is one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets. LOL!
At any rate, both of these were good videos. I have always enjoyed watching Eartha Kitt, and it was a real treat seeing her performance in the classic Eddie Murphy film Boomerang as Lady Eloise. I have to ask you though, where did you get such detailed quotes for your narrations? It's almost as if you were actually there. Also, your compilation and editing of the clips were timed perfectly with the narration of how things happened which made these videos much like documentary movies. Very cleverly done.
Yeah I tried to find clips in the movies to match what i was talking about at the moment. I couldn't believe the Sammy movie had almost all the perfect parts lol
The Orson Wells and Eartha pictures that were romantic, where acting taken from the stage. So those were scenes from Dr Faustus. That added to the romantic factor. But I also feel that maybe they did have a fling and didn't make it public :)
@@coolquotes1 Wow, she really must have had the certain something!
Eartha's life is just amazing. I LOVE Sammy Davis Jr. actually, he was so talented in every way. I actually found him attractive lol. I just love talented men and I love how he would talk to her in Anna Lucasta. I watch that movie often ❤ great video
Both were great to see on screen together at a time when the long over due of African American actors were showing their talent and being recognized in a time when bigotry and segregation were a part of life.
The problem with ertha kitt was, she was just to hot, and guys lost there minds around her, I would act crazy if I was around her too, and get her to do her famous purrrrrfect
too*
