Two kings no beefing just love and respect
Folks don't know Sammy's story full of racism but he had very caring friends who stood up for him.
James Brown the same
RIP to these kings sorely missed
Thank you
Michael Jackson studied BOTH these ICONS #Greatness
Shivz But Prince took it all on board.
canturgan good point both GREATS ALL 4 ARE GREATS
Shivz He loved James and Sammy and Fred Astaire and Jackie Wilson. And I love him.
Shivz YEP!!! You can plainly see who Mike borrowed his dancing style from.
Absolutely!!! There would be no MJ without James Brown! You could see his influence through out his whole career! RIP to all three legends!
Oh, how I miss those days. When shows were real show back then. You always knew you were going to see something out of site. Raw and pure genuine talent that owned the stage back then. 💜💜💜💜
Wish i lived those days!
Two Of My Faves Back In The Day! They Were Among The Best In The Business. I Will Always Miss Our Multi Talented People Who Had No Professional Training In The Arts, Just Had God Given Talent!
2 of the most iconic dancers/performers/entertainers of all time. Probably up there right now singing and dancing up a storm!
Sluggz McGee I BET THEYRE MAKING GOD DANCE UP THERE.
James was certainly a good one, but then, there was Sammy. Sammy was being kind here. If you see Sammy in some of the better clips of him, it's just unbelievable how good he was on his feet. Sammy was of course from another era and genre, but just hard to explain how good he was. I really did not get it until in my 70's I tried to learn to tap lol! It was a joke, but fun trying none the less. It took that tho for me to know what it took to do Sammy. Us mere mortals can't. Of course, he started at around the age of 2. That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it lol! RIP James and Sammy, both one of a kind.
😅😅 At least you tried...and the Nicholas Brothers were even more unbelievable!!
I was thinking the same thing. Sammy was reining it in here out of respect. Didn’t want to embarrass James.
@@SmelOdies Sammy was absolutely brilliant and was one of the all time greats! There's also absolutely no way he could have embarrassed James Brown.
Chris Lawton facts James started a lot the dances we see today Micheal borrowed 😜almost all his moves and Fred Astaire as well
@@ChrisLawton66 I’m not saying he would have embarrassed James, but he did appear to me to be operating under the assumption that if he gave it his all he would embarrass, upstage or disrespect James. I base this on seeing other performances from this era where he danced a lot better than he does in this clip.
Surely two of the greatest performers of all time. Wow, what a great clip. Thanks for posting
Wow! That was exciting. James Brown and Sammy Davis Jr. really had a mutual appreciation for each other. Beautiful.
Sammy Davis was holding back...he's one of the greatest dancers of all time, groomed by his dad in the Will Master's Trio!
Sam wasnt funky. He was NOT holding back.
@@ertfgghhhh
No baby, Mr. Davis was holding back:-)

@@Jaburu Look up Gregory Hines .
Hard to believe two natural legends on stage together!
Brown is a very good talented singer and he has lots of songs, he will always be in our hearts. Since when have you been listening to don Brown songs?
In the era of "class" and "classy." So grateful that I was born during a period of real entertainers .
Back when men were brothers and not rivals. Smh. R.I.P. to the Greats.
What people don't know is James Brown is Native American and Sammy Davis Jr. is Cuban.
M Franklyn And what they both had was Black Pride and the love of all people.

Two of the most talented men of all time!! I was blessed to have been alive at the same time! :)

its ashame what we have today called entertainment this put a smile on my face so fun to watch
It's good because its real and genuine. Not forced fake overpromoted BS.

Honestly, the first thing that came to my mind was 1995-->2015 Rap music.
Feyg Aeckaunt
That stuff is NOT rap music. Real Rap music was from the 70s till early 90s.
rpmmusic4u I take your word for it. I just wanted to disagree with your equation without pulling the race card on you.
Great Video 👍..Thanks For Sharing it 💞👍!!
"You know something baby, you look like me.." LMAO Sammy is that Guy hands down
We saw Sammy in Reno. We didn’t know he was dying. He was so great and performed right up to the end. Legend
You're always dying.
You just don't know when.
Listen to Tim McGraw's "Live like you were Dying" for an easy perspective.

Remember this like it was yesterday as a kid. So proud and mesmerized about their talent. Thank you for sharing.
Seeing the two of them brings back memories right along with the tears. All of the beautiful memories of time goes bye.
Talent. Real talent is humble. They both did it their way and did it well. Thank you and Rest In Peace, gentlemen.
Incredible energy and sympathy... 🤗Wow💙✨!
Who has talent like that now? No body. Living legends gone too soon. Never be forgotten. The GODFATHER OF SOUL and THE CANDYMAN themselves.
Simply the best. Rest in peace. Thank you showing.
That's a classic so much talent on that stage from dancing singing composing acting,, writing 🔥
Davis was haqving so much fun with a true brother of exceptional entertainment. Must have reminded him of the old days with his dad and uncle.
Got the blessing of being born to actually see these true showmen doing their thing. SD and JB back when they had talent.
I'm 62yrs old I too remember the 70's 60's .
I grew up watching both of these guys. They had more talent than all of the so called singers of today
For me, it's the absolute love and respect between these two Kings of entertainment.
Best part was " You know somethin'?....you look just like me ! " - same height, same mustache, same big round sleepy eyes ! heh- he-e-hhh !......Sammy rules.
Always love these old dudes...I so much love their genuine creativity... RIP guys
Dos Artistas gigantes.!
