I knew her. I delivered her Liquor while working at Gil Turners. I did stand up comedy and delivered liquor part time. She invited me to spend the day with her and we drank Mimosa's. She asked me to tour with her as her opening act...I declined. Biggest regret of my life.

I remember watching her on tv when i was a child. I never knew what an amazing woman she was. All i can say is wow. We need more women like this to be role models today. What fun it must have been to be part of her world.

I thank you so much for bringing this video here for us. Ms. Kitt is pure Light; her brilliance continues to shine and warm us. She will never be forgotten. I am teary-eyed, but smiling at her joie de vivre, the wonderful way she moves so comfortably and sensually in her own skin and the wisdom she shares so freely. She was a true humanitarian. She basked in the love of her fans and returned it in abundance. Thank you!

I remember watching her on tv when i was a child. I never knew what an amazing woman she was. All i can say is wow. We need more women like this to be role models today. What fun it must have been to be part of her world.

What an incredibly intelligent woman, she was like a walking encyclopedia of the times. That, and an amazing advocate to the black woman. She was the voice of so many black Americans at the time who felt oppressed and scared to speak out.
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. It was heart warming and entertaining. The interviewer never interrupted her. He paused before each question, ensuring that he did not cut her off.
When I was quite young, mysteriously, I did not appreciate her. Today, I'm 65, ten years her junior at the time of this interview. Thank you, thank you for these videos that allow me to expose some of my ingrained prejudgements; I adore this woman! She is so powerful and feminine and interesting and real. How could anyone not be charmed by Ms Kitt?
