I enjoyed your video on Globe. I have lived here for almost 30 years. It is a wonderful place to live. There are lots of things to see and do. Be safe out there, and God bless you in your travels.
Another great former copper mining town is Bisbee, way down south where you were originally headed. Well worth a visit, along with Tombstone and Sierra Vista & Fort Huachuca.
This was a great ride down memory lane. A friend of mine accepted a position at holy angels school and I was invited to do handy man jobs on the campus. I loved every minute I was there. Its a beautiful part of our country. My favorite thing about it was how many places you could hike and explore. I could go on and on about Globe and it's surrounding area. I highly recommend it
🙋♀️Hello Russ! Truly a nice day for stopping in Globe, Arizona. Did you know, Big Nose Kate was Doc Holidays longtime companion & common law Wife. She didn't actually have a big nose, just had her nose in everybody's business. She's buried in Arizona Pioneer Home Cemetery, Prescott, Arizona. I'm looking forward to the haunted Courthouse tour.👍
What a great little town. I especially like old towns and have lived in two small ones and one medium one. Thanks for the glimpse into the ruins and the pretty downtown of Globe. Nice park there too. Some place I would not mind visiting.
Take some time and explore, amazing area! I lived in apache junction for 14 years and this is a favorite spot.along with superior, thank you, well done, now, viewers, the rest is up to you all. Enjoy arizona more. Mike from michigan
Hi Russ, really enjoyed the road trip. All the videos have been very interesting. Just love your shuttle humour. Looking forward to the next video.Stay safe😀
Yep, I could definitely live there. That's a nice small America town. Like how they left some of the buildings true to the time, makes for a good Main St feel. Nice museum. Garden has a good variety of succulents among the ruins. Nice video.🙂👍
Phoenix is "hot" because it's a valley surrounded by mountains all around, the same as Las Vegas, Nevada or Tucson. From Phoenix you climb to Flagstaff to get some "cool", the same as you climb up Mount Charleston in Las Vegas or up Mount Lemmon in Tucson. If you want to see huge open-pit copper mines, take Route 70 towards the East until you reach Route 191, then North about 20 miles and you will encounter Clifton and Morenci. These are two of the largest mining holes visible in the Western U.S. Great video of Globe, as always, Russ. Regards RICHARD from Canada
Hey Russ! During my trucking days I was headed to Morenci, Az (123 miles east of Globe) to pick up 48k pounds of copper and went through Globe. Very nice town, nice people, and, good food also! Morenci on the other hand wasn’t so enjoyable….after being loaded, and heading down that 7% mountain grade to leave and with NO JAKE BRAKES on my truck, was definitely no picnic! Lol! Needless to say my knees were wobbling a ‘bit’ for a few minutes once I reached the bottom of that mountain! 😂. Great video as always! Travel safe! ~Jim~
Nice video Russ. Globe seems like a nice place and it’s elevation of 3500ft makes it about 15 degrees cooler than Phoenix area. Nice small town feel and good medical facilities for older people like me.
I go down for the winter from the Colorado rockies, a snow bird, been doing it all my life, love it to ,grew up in the desert 🏜, san padro river valley,
As a kid I traveled that road a few times..Oklahoma to Phoenix..time for a trip possibly in the fall. It's nice seeing Arizona thanks for the many trips❤

You did a great job with the last 2 videos. I really enjoyed them. I stayed in an rv park off 77 in Winkelman and just moved up to a park in Globe in the old downtown. My friends and family are always asking for pictures and videos. I am not very good with sending them stuff. Lol. Your videos made it easy. I will be watching to see where you go next. Maybe help plan where I go after globe.
As most of us here know, Globe was an important Copper mining district. It was also a good location for fine crystallized specimens of *Vanadinite* A beautiful mineral, popular with collectors.
I went to Globe yesterday...after visiting Tucson and then after Globe I went to see the Hoover Dam, love that bridge there...I didn't do much in Globe because I didn't have time...cool vid...thanks!
Hello new subscribers here. I grew up in globe, I love that little town. Round Mountain is my favorite spot there. We never got much snow in town, but the Pinal mountains would get a good coverage. Love the content, my wife and I are just getting started on making videos and are having fun. Keep it up, I really enjoyed this video
I do quite of few inspections in the Globe / Miami area. Love heading in the area. Wish more towns were like this still. I miss the old buildings. Took the family there yesterday, ate at the cafe right there and walked the main strip. Its peaceful.
Thanks Russ, I grew up in the area and worked at Besh ba Gowah at one time. Really enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. Glad I discovered your channel and look forward to more of your adventures.

SIR ~ as always you are the Best Host and Tour Guide !! You certainly know your ARIZONA !! Love living in ARIZONA myself since 1979 ~ I have to say you’ve opened my eyes to places I’d never think about going to ~ but many thanks to you , my bucket list is getting pretty long 😄 Globe looks awesome ( I’ve never been ) but agree looks like a really great place to call home ~ Thanks for taking us along and will look fwd to your next stop 🛑 Safe traveling 🌵🌞🚐
I love globe. We have 3 acres up in the copper hills with old mining structures and even vertical shafts on our property. We currently live In Washington though but I’m wanting to permanently move down there! My 07 f150 name is Kate. For big nose Kate lol
My father used to work there as a construction worker concrete finisher and used to live San Carlos Az with the apatches people and during the summer they have 🌅 💃
Another neat gem without traveling cross country. Will be exploring Ohio's gems this year if it ever gets back to spring weather.!! By that time the grass will be out of control and the trees will be providing shade again. The S W always has been a favorite of mine. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
If you head up 60 to the White Mountains, Showlow, Pinetop then it is an easy jaunt over to Alpine. Stop in the Bear Wallow cafe and have their hamburger. Really good. Alpine is at the junction of 191, used to be called the 666 highway.
If you like small towns, history, people and character, YES! If you're expecting theme parks, i.e. Disney, universal, Legoland, etc... keep going west to "Cally", they believe in make believe. 👍❤😊😱😂
The missing couple and RV in Nevada has been found by Search and Rescue, unfortunately the husband Ronnie passed away and they flew the woman to a hospital in Reno
If you would do some on-line research about the places you visit it would make your videos more interesting. For example, when were the ruins you showed occupied? By whom? We can read the signs of Pepsi trucks ourselves.
I agree! I'm always hollering at the video "what was that?" or "hold the camera lower so I can see what's in the display case!" My husband just laughs and tells me I like museums too much... Well, I guess I should go there in person, then, right?
Russ please don’t tell us that the cat you saw was really living in the gutter, that’s not cool, maybe call your friend and give us an update, I think it has to have a home, I hope.

Been through Globe but never spent much time there. Might be ok for a day trip but I wouldn't exactly plan a vacation in Globe.
I enjoyed this episode of Is Globe AZ worth visiting? Heck Yeah!!
Any young people from Globe? How do you like living there, it seems like an old folks town...???
