Who is watching in 2024 😊 the best days of music 🎶 🎵 😊😊❤🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😊👍
Absolutely. .....
I'm planning a meeting with Stevie in heaven.
Who is watching in 2023? SRV FOREVER!
I always am.❤
I sure do miss my fellow Texan they'll never be another
This video reignited my love for Oreo cookies
🤓
Me srv & Hendrix are my men
All should note, and I guarantee you Stevie would want it noted in a big way, you are watching a clear eyed and CLEAN performer. As an recovered/always recovering addict, Stevie touched my heart by never hiding. He helped as many as he could. He would still be steadfastly standing up and Saying, "my name is Stevie, I am addict". He was an inspiration. I miss you Stevie, so much.
If the date of this show is correct this was about one month before he sobered up. That's according to the wikipedia article I just read., so if I'm wrong blame the white man.
YES HE WOULD - BLESS HIM!! YOU DID THE LORD'S WORK, STEVIE🙏
@@motnosniv watching this I would say he was sober. The media was not informed yet
We all miss this great MAN in our own special way
Thanks to the support he received from Janna
SRV (RIP) 😢 I had the great pressure of meeting Stevie, about a month before he passed and I'm still sad about it. And I love every bit about him. He showed so much love so much talent. His singing was off the chain. His band Double Trouble was right there with him beautiful. I can't say enough about him. He was the best he is the Goat. Thank you, Stevie, for such love.❤
Greatest showman
I'd give anything to have been able to just sit down and have a conversation with Stevie. He always came across as a person of great depth, humility, and love for his fellow man. We lost a hell of a lot more than just a guitar player when that chopper went down, that's for sure! RIP SRV. 🎸👑
Stevie was SO proud in his last years that he had finally broken his addiction to the tobacco and alcohol drugs. Damn it, he should STILL be with us, making more of that FINE music!
60yrs old got turned on 2 yrs ago and can t put him down work nights and my head phones on all night with. Stevte. Bb. Buddy and others and always try 2 pass it forward to the young crowd to keep. Stevie alive. R. I. P. Stevie never be foregotten
The clock won. It seems time always gets its own way.
And cocaine!
He should indeed be with us, I feel the fact that some of the greatest musicians the world has seen have been taken is one of life's greatest cruelties. Can only imagine what magic Stevie would have wrought had he been spared; would've loved to have seen more otherworldly work with Bowie along with more of where he was taking his style of blues.
Hey I guess all we can do is be thankful we were on earth around the same time he was
Amen!!
Can’t even imagine 300+ “people” gave Stevie a dislike. Unbelievable! He was a gift to us all. 🕺🏻❤️
It just goes to say that some folks out there need to review their tastes in their peers.
Jealousy makes you nasty
@@gertkitaar2642 Bingo!! ✌
True Gurt.
I'm from South Africa and I'm one of a few blues lovers. SRV my favorite. Check out Dan Patlansky, blues guitarist from South Africa. You can hear SRV's influence in some of Dan's songs.
The unmatched ferocity. Just a beast,a fire breathing dragon from another dimension.
He kinda breathes fire at 38:40
Very well said.
@@derekwilliams7823 Wasn't he? One . ..two notes tops and you have no come back, no lick, no scale or speedy run that can answer it. So sad he passed, he had so much treasure left to give to this world.
SRV left us so young since they needed him in Heaven to make a "joyful noise unto the Lord"!
This gig is rated #7 of his all time 10 greatest live concerts. Fact.
@Blackscorpion1963, this is so epic, I can’t *imagine* what #1 would be!!! 🤯

Stevie was the first artist I came in contact with that impressed the presence of a higher power at play to me. All these years later and it’s still clear that what I witnessed was a very rare occurrence. An otherworldly gift that I cherish to this day. Sure miss you brother Stevie, thanks for the love you passed our way🎶

I can’t look at Stevie without BLUSHING. I absolutely love this man. 💯 ......
I’m an oldie and didn’t discover SRV until he had passed. Any generation recognizes great talent!
I'm 56 and I was a headbanger I loved Randy Rhodes and Eddie Van Halen and all that kind of music and at about 40 I bought a guitar and started trying to learn to play a then I realized just how much more the blues had to offer me I started watching Gary Moore and Peter Green Clapton and on and on but hey at least we made it...
Lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, song writer, singer, song arranger, producer, performer. . . and a good man; the total package.
Genius
Legend
RIP Lonnie Mack (July 18, 1941 - April 21, 2016), aged 74
And
RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 - August 27, 1990), aged 35
You both will be remembered as legends.
I saw his last show at Alpine Valley I was like the fifth row in the pavilion I also saw him at the Aragon theater in Chicago
32 years ago man. A lifetime ago.
@@jamessveinsson6006
I was at the Aaragon show too. 3 rd row standing. 2 Nd row you couldn’t see everything.
Lots of fans onstage, his silk scarf touching the strings. Sweating like a stuck pig. I remember he double timed Scuttle Butting. Didn’t see how he could play it so fast
@@JohnDoe-jc3cl I was at that show and I was probably fifth or sixth row standing I love the The venue so much I saw Keith Richards there too

The Aragon was rough. Real bad neighborhood. I remember broken beer bottle glass on the floor that night. Yuck !
8’ plywood pannels put up so you couldn’t climb up and touch the stage ( or any of the musicians).
Couldn’t stand the Weather Tour. Very nice to hear every song with ferocity, just like on his 2 records.
No ! Reese Wynan, so little Stevie played his @$$ off. No joke.
His set was just a blurr of great songs.
His silk scarf was landing on the strings, but somehow didn’t muffle them.
Saw him play at Chicagofest ( navy pier) AND Soldier’s Field and the Chicago blues festival.
Navy pier show EVERY ONE BONDED and stood up like a pop up book, when he cut into Voodoo Chile.
Everyone listening to Hendrix at home and he plays Voodoo Chile and Third Stone note for note, tone for tone
That was a force of nature.
A phenomenon. Every one stood up at the same time. And they didn’t sit back down ❗️

There will Never ever be another Stevie Ray Vaughn. He had it all and with style. Miss You Stevie
What a performer and one hell of a man. He beat his addiction and was an inspiration to many who struggled with drugs. I was fortunate to see his very last concert at Alpine Vally, Wisconsin. He put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Lost way too early. His iconic music lives on.
Stevie Ray was one of the best guitarists ever and will never go out of memory or style .. his death was a huge blow to the Music scene and his fans

@@pikespeak361 An excerpt from an article by an attorney who investigated the crash.
After the last concert finished, four Bell Jet Ranger helicopters from Omniflight were to take Clapton and some of his entourage to Chicago. Three seats were reserved for Stevie Ray Vaughan, his brother Jimmie Vaughan, and Jimmie’s wife, Connie. At the last minute, the Vaughan brothers were informed that there was only one seat available instead of three, so Jimmie stayed behind with his wife.
Wonderful and magical and unbelievable I'm so feeling regretful not seeing him on stage ever. Of course I LIVE in. R. Of IRAN!

I saw him in In person in ONTARIO Canada . Amazing Master of great music
To all the dislikes you are jealous of the best guitarist to ever hold and play an axe. SRV will live on forever.
THE GOAT
Those who don't like Stevie lost out, not only was the king of blues guitar buy he was a great human being and very humble person who would help anyone in trouble on the street! Seeing him live was like a spiritual experience and I am probably just one of many who have said that. He would be 69 years old now. I know cause he was two years younger than me. I seen Jimi Hendrix three times live and many others over the years! Stevie had it all show manship and greatest player I ever seen. Love came out of him through his guitar like they were one being.❤ That is the truth and his band was so darn great. And Stevie did not read music he played from the heart what he felt a never played the same song exactly the same twice.RIP Stevie you are truly missed! ❤️
His monolog on "Life without you" is eerily prophetic......and so true. RIP Stevie, you did it right.
LIFE WITHOUT YOU (17:04) Who could have thought that at age 31 Stevie Ray would only have four years and one day of life left on earth. Considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, if not the best, Stevie Ray is credited with introducing generations of rock fans to the blues. Stevie Ray passed away victorious against his demons of cocaine and alcohol one month short of four years of sobriety, which he began September 1986, and died four years to the day after his father Jimmy Lee died, August 27th 1986.
"Death is not the end, it's just a change. You can't see them or talk to them. But they are there!" Stevie Ray Vaughan

Try one of the top 5 guitar players ever.
The best tone to ever come out of a...was going to say Strat... I replace that with guitar.
My father owned a nightclub in Austin and Stevie played there with double trouble many weekends. The club was called the after ours club because we stayed open until 4am. I remember Stevie would start around 11:30 and jam until 4 in the morning. He always made sure we had a fifth of his favorite whiskey crown royal set aside for him. Imagine what it was like to here him play in our small club jammed to capacity,a line all the way out to Congress st. Those were the days!
Well Lonnie Mack that odd thanks bye....ps

I didn't get to see him but he did come to town with Jeff Beck I believe it was 1988. He had run his course on liquor and showed up at an AA meeting with the entire band ................ I was supposed to be at that meeting, missed it too
Are you sure it wasn't called the After Hours club?
If you have never seen Stevie Ray live in person, you have missed one of the greatest performances you can not imagine.

Up there next to Hendrix and EVH.
I was at his Live in El Mocambo in Toronto in 1983. Best damn show I've ever seen. He gave me the guitar that he's playing in this video, then took it back. The one with SRV on it. Motherfkr lol

I was about 10 years old and I had just picked up a guitar. My dad played in a band for years and years so naturally I was attracted to it.
One night dad called me into his room and said, "Hey son! Come check out this guitar player!"
I remember seeing his legendary worn and faded Strat and I said, "What do the letters SRV stand for???"
Dad said, "Stevie Ray Vaughn..."
I was glued to the screen and I was hooked from then on. Any friend from high school would tell you that if they were riding with me, they were listening to SRV. I'll never forget that night with my dad..
He and Stevie are both gone but their memories will live in me until I'm gone. 🤙🙏
Absolutely a fantastic guitarist
My room-mate Sheri knew Stevie. The gold lame' jacket he is wearing in this video was worn to humor her that night - 12 hours after this performance was 1 of the worst days of Stevie's life, as his Dad Big Jim passed away on Aug 27th, 1986 - 4 years later to the day, Stevie joined his Dad. Rock on, Stevie, rock on.

Missing Stevie on this 31st anniversary of his passing on August 27, 1990. I still clearly remember the first time I heard Stevie Ray Vaughan. I had been playing guitar for about a year, and was a huge Jimi fan. I was 11 years old flipping through TV channels and I came across some unbelievable guitar player, just killing Voodoo Child. I continued to watch SRV at Austin city limits and I had a new favorite guitarist. That will never change. The outfit, the beat up strat with SRV on the pick guard, and the emotion combined with his unmatched skill. My opinion right then was he's the best, and that will never change. I'm very thankful for what he left us.😂

How I missed him as a kid I'll never know. In my dark days as a teenage alcoholic I loved (and still love "the master of the Stratocaster" I WORSHIPED Hendrix, Joplin, and Morrison (all drank and used themselves to death at age 27. I was born in 1960 About five years too late for Woodstock and Monterey Pop but thanks to UA-cam I can still get it as a senior classic rock / blues guy. Yesterday I saw SRV being interviewed by Hall who said "people say you are better than Hendrix. SRV (extremely humble man) said "there is only one Hendrix, I just try to do the best I can". He too beat his demons! Accidents happen even to the very talented. He has four years of sobriety when the helicopter went down. He talked about sobriety from the stage reaching millions! He said "I thought the party would never stop. It stopped"! Rich and UNBELIEVABLE talent did not keep him clean. I['m thankful that he died sober. His work lives on! I can't help but wonder what would have happened if JJ, Hendrix, and Morrison has all sobered up and shared with us the gift of recovery. It would have shown us all what is available. I'm 41 years sober now listening to SRV at 3:00 AM. I'm grateful I can enjoy him now!
Same here. 1960 baby. But we lived through the Best of times! No denying that. And all the artists of our time. Pure legends. Many of them but SRV is one exception of greatness! He climbed all up and down that guitar 🎸 down right dirty blues.

Previous to this, I watched Stevie's jam session with Albert King. Fantastic, of course. Albert talked to Stevie and told him he was pretty good, but would get better. That was made in 83. Watching this, you can really see how Stevie improved. So Albert was right.
Also, Albert was 60 when they made that jam session video.

A little story here --
When I was stationed overseas in the mid-70's, I learned very quickly that concert goers in Europe were a different breed than we Colonials....
You see, they sit quietly during whatever song is playing by the Band (Jethro Tull) and only after the song is over, do they applaud.
The reason being, they want to savor every note.
You can see the respect of this audience as soon as he gets into Lil Sister..... and it instantly reminds me of how they behave across the pond.... SRV - The GOAT... RIP
Stevie Ray Vaughan is so far advanced in music and guitar that there is no comparison's to his ability as to how far he will emerge in his music life ..That's how sensational he was..You are a great musician Stevie...

When the Lord called you home it meant that we had to keep your music going and to teach it to all of our young so that they could carry it forward. You are missed but will never be forgotten.
I got to see him in 1985 in Fresno, California when he first came out with the Texas Flood album
You are right, Lori. All best
Amen
