Sweet gift pack from Frostbite!! I’ve been looking through their lineup of rods to match our fishery here in Alaska and the True Grit sounds like it would be a fantastic all around trout rod. Thanks!!
@ We have rainbows that can go well over 30”, arctic char/dolly varden over 30” and lakers occasionally over 40” but consistent 35”+. Also have amazing burbot and grayling.
Oh yeah those are some exciting fish to catch through the ice! You might want a stronger rod for lake trout that size but the true grit should be able to handle most of them!
I just got 2 new rods and reels from frostbite haven’t used them yet just now getting cold in the Midwest, I love the feel of the rods. I’m up there with the big guys now
Drench is a popular model! Maybe I will get one this winter. Haven't tried their non-noodle style fiberglass rod yet. What kind of fish do you use the drench for and what technique?
Great job. I am glad Frostbite noticed you. You are so relatable and humble.
Thank you Greg for the kind words!

It was a sweet Christmas present haha. What kind of trout you fish in Alaska and how big do they get?

@TTangOutdoors dead stick walleye, caught a bunch of 25-26 inch walleye last year with it
@@MikeDepko-m8r That's awesome, yea that long fiberglass rod is great for set line. Do you do jigging for walleye?
@TTangOutdoors I use my 32" slapshot for jigging with a medium dinner bell.
