Reminds of a joke I heard years ago: How many computer techs does it take to change a flat tire? Five, four to hold up the car while the other one keeps changing tires until they find the flat tire.
Seller should’ve stated it was beep on beep off rather than no power. No power can be a simple fix but beep on and off is usually a bigger problem like south bridge or dead APU.
@@JoeyDoesTech Yeah , that's my problem currently. I have an xbox and squirt soda dropped on the fan part. Now it powers on and off. I didn't know that saying beep on beep off is a technical problem so when I went to get the xbox repair the diagnostic explained that my problem was a lot bigger than simply no power and they recommended me buying a new xbox because the repairs would cost just as much as a new one. Not including the hourly wage I'd have to pay on top of the repair parts

Damn, I've got one showing the exact same symptoms. Sometimes the light comes on, sometimes it doesnt try to start just beeps. Have tried taking everything off the board guess I'm getting a multimeter out probably same thing as this :((
I had the same issue thermal camera pointing at APU, i was able to fix it by reballing the APU. Takes 8 mintues to remove APU. Start preheating APU with 150c at 80 air speed for 2 minutes, then increase temp to 200c for another 2 minutes, then increase temp to 220c, for 2 minutes, then increase temp to 250 for 2 minutes, final increase twmp to 280 for 2 minutes and apu by now should be able to remove by prying up from under

I think that the problem is in the RAM because I watched a video that aims at the same problem and it was solved by changing the small balls that fall under the ram because it does not give thirty om

Pretty much like an xbox 360 because i have seen more 360 consoles that are clean having Red Ring Of Death than the ones covered in dirt dust and all kinds of filth
I've got one I e been working on with the same symptoms. You get a power up chime pressing the power button but no light, but after about 40 odd seconds, you then get the light come on for about 5-6 seconds, then a graceful shutdown tone. That's why it seemed like it's the fan or something you have disconnected at the beginning. If you constantly monitor the some of the test pads during that first 40 seconds they pulse like it's trying to boot by can't. I still don't know what's wrong with mine tho. 🥲
Maybe one day we'll get there haha. Someone actually reached out to me on Discord and asked me to check two capacitors on the back side of the APU to see if they were shorted somehow. Need to have a look at that.

You should always give the APU a reflow when you get a Board with a Faulty issue, it may just work.

Hey Joe I'm having trouble with my xbox atm it beeps when I press eject but I have zero response when I press the on button can you help please
do you have a diagram to see every voltage on components

My Xbox one doesn’t have a retimer chip but I still get a picture. Joey can you or anyone explain to me how that’s possible please?

Tough luck on that APU, but good attempt! At the very least, the components (and experience!) are easily worth the price you paid though.

Weird that it DID stay on a few times during testing?

Did you check the back side of the board for heat spots?
I did yes, the thermal cam image in one of the shots was on the back of the board :)
So you think I can send my counsel to you it's bin acting up and not working so can I
I’m sure you mentioned it before, but what type of flux are you using in this video?
I use Kingbo RMA-218 :)
