Yeah, it's useful, i think it might make more marks on the wall tho smearing the dust in 😂 this one is on Amazon, i don't remember where i bought mine but it's the same www.amazon.co.uk/Bomoya-Hands-Free-Collectors-Effectively-Woodworking/dp/B09DKD1KRT/ref=asc_df_B09DKD1KRT/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=534823757452&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4754715880076117805&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046317&hvtargid=pla-1436901615515&psc=1
No mess no work, you can’t have one without other, I have to keep telling the misses that because I’m a messy worker no matter how much I try everything always looks like a bit of a bomb site, especially my workshop, getting near the end now mate by the look of it, looking good though, I don’t think them shelves are going to fall down any time soon 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺
👍 I don't have carpet in my house because it's easier to sweep up the crap i traipse in, + i often have the from door open n dust from my immaculate shed just blows in 🙈😂 I try to keep it tidy on site but yeah dust is part of the job, i leave it clean tho, it's been asked why's my house a shithole yet i leave it spotless on site 😂😂🤷♂️😂 Thanks Graham, someone mentioned getting a shelf hole jig & drilling the sides to insert those little pegs, wtf, this shelf is 1m wide & will be stacked wit crap!, You can't adjust it but nope i made it so it's not going to fall down, 👍
Can't beat Freud blades. Love them. Got an old Freud 1900 watt router too and it's going strong after 20+ years. Keep thinking I'd like to get a Makita 3612 but the Freud doesn't look like it's giving up any time soon so can't justify that one.
Oh...and don't get the Trend Easyscribe. Got one thinking it was going to be really good and it's horrible. Proper waste of money. The leads are really faffy to adjust, and easy to snap, and the blade is about 8/9mm wide so won't get into tight bits like the V on a skirting board, etc.
Yep that Freud blade is the same one i put in the Dewalt when i got it, it is just starting to show it's age but still does well, & yep my old 20yrs+ Makita is still my main router, works absolutely fine, it's 110v tho from when i was on site in the 90s, the only reason i got the Dewalt router was for the 80mm plunge, I replaced the Makita trimmer router with a cordless one for site but might have to get a ½" one too, might have to wait a bit to see if Makita bring one out but Hikoki do a cordless ½" & i have batteries 😏, & 😂👍 I looked at the Trend scribes, the people who design these things haven't got a f*kin clue, I've tried a few scribing type tools over the yrs but always seem to end up using a compass with the threaded bar, you can adjust it with one hand, it doesn't move when knocked or when your scribing & pushing against the wall or whatever. & it takes just a reg pencil 👍
@@Gidjoiner yeah the Makita cordless trim router is great. I use mine loads. I've looked at the Hikoki 1/2" as well cos I have a Hikoki 18g gun, but I keep thinking it won't be long before Makita have a cordless 1/2" too and I'd rather wait and see what that's like. I got the big Triton as well to permanently mount under a bench because I liked the plunge adjustment on it. Not been as impressed with it though. I noticed last week I think you have the same?
Fantastic video. Very well explained. I'm just wondering why they dont make jigsaw blade that cut on the down stroke. Save you having to do all the upside down work when cutting the scribe line.
Thanks 👍, they do make down cutting blades but i don't like them, they're thin, small teeth that clog easily & so burn out & they bounce - the machine kicks back if not careful, I cut upside-down for a reason, I do it on purpose, the jigsaw doesn't mark the surface, leaves a very clean cut & i can see the line clearly, 👍
I was surprised to learn the blades that come with the battery powered Makita plunge saws are thinner than the blades for the Makita 240v plunge saw. If memory serves me correctly, the former are around 1.6mm whereas the latter are 2.2mm.
Hi, the cordless has less power than the corded version & a blade with a thinner kerf puts less pressure on the motor of the saw, it still cuts the wood.
Hi, can't say about recent Trend stuff but they're sort of mid range tools, for the Diyer who wants to spend a bit more money, I had a few Trend stuff yrs ago & they were ok but a little over priced for the quality, some of their router bits do ok tho,
Crap, the catch is flimsy & on the top, i keep catching it & the bag opens, &! because the bag sits on the saw with it's arse up in the air the port gets blocked quickly, not worth the money, ps. doesn't fit Makita, i had to buy an adaptor 😒
Gid.. get yourself a portable work bench, Black & Decker or similar and some downwards pointing jig saw blades. Much safer than holding it upside down.
Don't like the down cut blades, they're thin & bounce if not careful, I cut upside-down for a reason, i do it on purpose, it doesn't mark the surface, leaves a very clean cut & i can see the line clearly, & i have the trestle bench, i just couldn't be bothered putting it up for just a few cuts, there's already enough junk in the van to be adding more 👍
Great video,absolutely perfect craftsmanship,Thankyou
Excellent, great watch 👍🏼
Thank you 👍 Glad you enjoyed them 👍
Love that vacuum head

It's looking awesome... Almost there
Thanks Paul, yep just one vid to watch 😁👍
Remembered the hoover on this one eh CG?
Yep i'd taken it out to do the Dominoes for the doors in the shed 🤦♂️😁👍
Mafell dust bag?
