Jefferson Starship has a lot of good songs. They don't get the credit they deserve despite their pedigree and their hard rock songs like this one stand up to any band of that time..

This song got lots of airplay on Detroit rock radio for years after it was released. It was definitely one of their heaviest songs, and that's what we like in this town.
can't agree - her hair looks like an 80's trainwreck - if you didn't see her in '68 or '69 then you really missed out - this Starship stuff was lame in comparison

There are only two kinds of music my friend, good and bad. I watched American Bandstand and Soul Train every Saturday morning and Saturday night wasThe Midnight Special and Don Kirshner's Rock Concert growing up. I'm still loving great music all these years later, it never gets old.
Starship was near their peak here. The middle of the Kantner-Thomas era and just the perfect blend of rock and pop. Thundering drums from AD. Three guitars, two keys, two lead singers, and Chaquico just churning out all kinds of songs.
Absolutely better than his replacements. I must have seen a great Show on the Pier 84 in NYC in 1980. Probably one of my first of 10 shows way back when 😊😂🤣🤣😭
Most def is Craig shredding lead playing the pink BC.....that cheesy mustache is unmistakable. Interesting that as he shreds the videographer chooses to mainly focus on Kantner
