I played this song over and over as I held my beautiful wife's hand in hospice care. It was our wedding song,. Our life together was a miracle.
I know what your going through hole in her throat giving her oxygen 2 years in and out of hospitals and rehab terrible icry soon as I get up every day only 62 years were together since we were 14
Beautiful song and what a beautiful love you have for your wife. She's watching and waiting for you brother ❤
Best music era ever
bLESS YOU AND YOUR WIFE MY FRIEND
Beautiful Love
The year this song came out was the year my wife died after a two year fight with cancer leaving me , a 22 year old with a 2 year old daughter. My daughter is 50 now , she's amazing. We sorta grew up together. God is good, I know where she is. She came to me in a dream not so long ago and she was perfect and she's waiting on me. Praise the lord
Praise the Lord, for He is Good! God loves you and he will never forget you!
Bless you friend!!🙏🙏
you will return together in short time to continue your long journey
God is amazing! God Bless You! God loves you!
Thank you, Jesus. Praise His Holy Name. She walked with Him back through her life. He never discounts love like yours. You both will be together again. I believe it to be so.
We made a baby with this song..when we thought we couldn’t have baby ❤ He is our miracle child
Well good to hear such a statement this is black Hawk the wife and I did SO TOO
Love not science ❤
Congrats !!
Escuche Miracles cuando tenia 20 años. Tengo 62. Siempre me ha acompañado la Jefferson, Martin Balin, y nuestra querida Grace. ( con Paul Kanter, Jorma Kaukonen, y demas)
truly blessed, praised the lord
This song was popular and played on the radio when my high school boyfriend picked me up for school. I loved him and for over 2 years we dated. 1977 we broke up and found each other in 2010. Been together ever since. Married 5 years ago. Its a miracle!❤
What a fantastic story!! Congratulations!! ❤
Good old Facebook. Broke up lots of marriages. Lol.
I love a lot of songs, but for God knows what reason this one is easiest to get stuck in my head and won't go away for hours on end.
Congratulations!! 😊
How funny, I have a story similar to yours. I had a high school boyfriend too for six years as we were still together after high school ended. We even got engaged and had a daughter but broke up. He was the love of my life. I moved away from my hometown and got married for over 30 years and had a son, but we broke up. When my Mom had a massive stroke, I went back to my hometown and got back with my high school boyfriend in 2008, and we were together until he passed away of Cancer in 2012. It was wonderful! Yes, miracles do happen as this was one of our favorite songs and still is to me.
Does anybody else find this song so hypnotic?
Speaking of which, I think this song pairs nicely with "Hypnotized" by Fleetwood Mac (1973)
I completely understand what you mean. This song pulls you in.
So much! It's very dreamy
Absolutely
Hypnotic and relaxing♥️
I believe in miracles and I'm gonna beat this health battle that I'm fighting- send prayers and positivity

I am 76 and I ❤️ love this song as much as I did in 1976.
Same, Same.
Ditto here Greg! Wife and I used this as our wedding song in Aril '76. We're still together and looking forward to our 50th anniversary. Time does fly bye when you're in love and holding onto dreams and memories shared over 50 years.
Was class. Of 1980. Agreed
Wasn't this 73 or 74?

This was my wife’s favorite song. She just passed from pancreatic cancer on 9/30/23. It was the song that played during the video that was a prelude to our wedding video 40 years ago. It holds a special place in my heart then and forever. The words are priceless.

We baby boomers had the best music of any generation, hands down!😎 Even my music aficionado son agrees with me!👍
ABSOLUTELY!
Hell yeah we did/do!!! And awesome concerts, good seats for around $7... What an awesome time!!! The last time I counted, I'm up to 40 concerts. How many concerts have other people been to? ✌️💙❤️🔥🎉😁🥴
Amen
And you boomers have ruined the planet.
The times you were having make the music too obviously...you know like " I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart", being in love back then...they probably felt aaaahh our generation's songs are the most Devine😊
I'm 63 years old and I listen to this song at least once a week! To me it's the greatest song of all time! Yes, the saxophone at the end is awesome!
65 and still jammin to "our age of music." Never let go of your past. It is the chalkboard to your future.
You like the saxophone. Listen to Bakers street by Gerry rafferty. Great song too
#@randysharpe1293
I TOTALLY AGREE. 😊😊
Miracles is my FAVORITE song of ALL. For me, Marty Balin was the very best of Jefferson Starship. Like you, I listen to this song so many times each week. It's my anthem. Incredible song. I absolutely love Marty Balin and miss him. RIP. to the great Marty Balin.♥️

What a very moving story. It’s brought tears to my eyes…
You're blessed you had the chance to tell him u loved him one last time - so many only hear when loved ones pass away over the phone and rue not having a chance to say something...i was similarly blessed - we celebrated our mom's 90th at the retirement home - the 'home' was having an open house then and had a piano player, balloons, a real party atmosphere - you would have thought the whole thing was arranged for her - best 'b' day ever! - a week later she was gone...

I am a United States Marine. I've seen so many places, seen some things, I know love is the answer, keeps holding this world together. ...Miracles, miraculous Miracles!
When this was a hit September 1975, I had just returned from a 13 month tour on Okinawa at Camp Foster. I was driving down the WV Turnpike and was heading to Camp LeJeune, when I heard this song. I said SCREW IT I'm going UA aka AWOL, and quitting the Marine Corps. I had two more years left on my 4 year contract. But I stayed in and made Sergeant 8 months before I was discharged. I was offered Ssgt if I'd go to Admin Chief School and pass the course. Then be the Admin Chief of a small Company. I thought hard but decided to get out after 4 years, and let my hair. Stay in the Corps it's a great profession. Semper Fi from an old Marine Sergeant.

I was at a very low point of my life when this got airplay on the radio. 20 yo, virtually homeless, working 12 hour days, 6 days a week.. This had to be some time in the summer of ‘75. I found it very uplifting and it gave me hope things would get better. Things got better. At 66yo, I still have an attachment to this song.
Love this song it is hypnotic magic. You can just feel the passiion
Working 72 hours a week and didn’t have money?
it came out in June 1975.
Best song ever
Very good rick be very proud of yourself
When you are married for 46 years, you go through some rough times. This music got us through some of our roughest times. In the middle of some awful screaming matches, one of us would put this on the turntable, and we would dissolve into tears, holding each other, and resolving to believe in Miracles. We would be celebrating 51 years if I hadn't lost him 5 years ago. Thank you, Jefferson Starship.
So sorry for your loss Bobbie. You're blessed to have had 46 years together.
Bobbie Edwards love this story. I’ve just recently found the love of my life, and even though we’re too far along in life to experience 46 years together, I am hoping that we can get through any rough patches like you two did.
@@brandyfox5153 I wish you joy in your relationship. Fight through the tough times, because the good times are so very worth it. Music can be so much a part of getting you through the bad patches.
Bobbie I lost mine of a lot less years but by cancer, my thoughts are with you.
I too lost someone I loved with every fiber of my being but I didn't get to marry him. I am so glad I danced the dance and have the joy in my heart that he filled it so full of. I remember once, he grabbed me and pulled me in close and we danced to this song as he sang it in my ear. Bobbie, I'm glad you got to marry your love and go through those rough times and be able to get to the good times and believe in Miracles. God bless. Remember that there is only a thin veil between us and them. He sees your tears and he feels your love.
I was 18 in 1975,,had to register for the draft,,couldn’t afford college,,drove a 50 dollar rambler station wagon,,we were poor but proud,,listened to this song and I did receive miracles, I worked hard, hi, school diploma, went to wall Street and became very successful, so everyone should believe in miracles
Too many communists want free handouts. People like you were patriotic, signed up for the draft, and worked hard. Others complain. BIacks have had the red carpet put out for them and they still complain.

Marty Balin, beautiful voice. So under the radar. RIP and thank you.
Much better voice than grace slick😠
I'll pretend I never read that.
Neither of these two are replaceable, especially Mr. Balin. On this, he did his best to sound like a black R&B singer (Ray Charles, perhaps).
The chord changes and minor-major shifts (the song is mostly in the key of A minor) make this a complicated song.
Not “under the radar” at all. Is this a new take on the way “overrated” term “underrated” … say it ain’t so! … 😛

One of the best songs of the 70's.
This is one of the most beautiful and sexiest songs ever....period. When you listen to what he is actually singing about. The music that came out of the seventies can never be matched. From lyrics, musical arrangements, etc, there was just so much talent going on. I remember when these great songs came out. Thank God for it, because at least musically, I can live in the past.
Music does take you back , doesn't it. It can change your mood in a couiple of bars .

Yea to YOU!
I'm only 22 and the decade of the 70s was fantastic. Perfect cars perfect clothes and the long hair and arrows. And we cant forget all the beautiful music to come out of the 70s it will never die noone makes it like this anymore and I dont know why almost 50 years later it's still popular and played on the raido and new songs are lucky to be played for a whole year music of today isn't real music to much computer science to. It and lots of the people cant really sing without auto tune back in these days there was no such thing that's what made the vocals of those days so good the imperfections in their voices and the analog recorded sound makes it just a awesome experience to listen to. So sad that way of music has died but it will never be forgotten long live the 70s

Recently while at work, the topic came up of another Jefferson Starship song. I said that my favorite song my them is "Miracles." One of my younger co-workers said, "I never heard of it." I told him to look it up on UA-cam. He did and as soon as this song started playing, tears were flowing down his cheeks. I said, what's wrong. And he said that this was his father's favorite song that he played all of the times when he was a little boy. He was extremely close to his father, who died suddenly five years ago. He thanked me for leading him to this song, as he now knows the name and loves his Father's favorite song.... What a surreal moment!

This was one of my wife’s favorite songs before she passed away March 11 of 2020 she always used to tell me believe in miracles everyone have a blessed day
Condolences to you.....your wife had good taste in music. Peace to you.
Just a beautiful song
I love you brother
You’re the third person to mention their deceased wives & their love of this song. Very touching 🙏🏻
I love you bro amen prayers sent
I’m 12 years clean from H. I returned to college after 20 years to finish my degree. My son is getting his degree in computer science. Miracles are real. God is good 🤙🏻❤️
I always thought that Marty Balin was the heart of Jefferson Airplane & Jefferson Starship. What a voice, and what a great writer!
I remember sitting in my jail cell listening to this and other classic rock crying my eyes out under the cover , haven't been back since , this music changed my life
Heropiate Fix good job brother.. keep your head up and keep going.. this music has a certain power
Why were you in jail?
Good for you man. We all got to get through those rough patches.
Your jail cell must have been next to an elevator...
Music in jail cell .wow
My Mom just sent this to me, saying how listening makes her feel like my Dad is still RIGHT THERE with her. We kissed him goodbye in June. (Also Hospice). Music is this amazing and powerful force for good in this world. It hurts sometimes when it washes these feelings over your entire being, but bittersweet still has sweetness. ❤️Love and light to all who feel sad. I believe you will one day feel the presence of your loved ones again.
My condolences for your loss.
My condolences to your family. Prayers for you
A loved one may
have left us.
But as we live each
day to the fullest,
We will always have,
the MEMORIES of our
Loved Ones!
Nothing can ever take
those away!
True. The melody of this song is a portal to another time.
My beloved Mother passed last week. My sisters n I did her hospice care at home. She had Alzheimer’s n we took care of her full time for 2 1/2 years. We we determined that she would stay with us. We kept our promise n We walked her home. 💝✨💝
I’m still kinda numb. I grieve alone because I can’t when others are around. I’m glad she’s no longer suffering from that wretched illness known as Alzheimer’s. I know she’s been reunited with all of her loved ones. Although she didn’t know who we were for those 2 1/2 years, I believe she knew who were were during the last couple days she was with us. We told her it was ok to go. We told her there’d be a glorious reunion. We played beautiful music n we held her hand as she took her last breath n was born into heaven. Thanks for reading this. I think it just hit me that she’s gone. I’m gonna go n grieve now n it’s okay. Reading your beautiful comments inspired me to go deep. It’s the first time I’ve allowed myself to do that since her transition. Thank you. 💝🌎💝
"you ripple like the River when I touch you" has to be the best line ever. So sensual
That saxophone solo is incredible, the whole song as well.
A gentleman by the name of Irv Cox played the solo.
My favorite Jefferson Starship song.

God's still in the Miracle business 🙏. I know, I'm a walking talking one. Made 2 years sober. God saved me from myself. Thank you God 😊

Who had thought a song could be so completely filled up with love ? Can't get much better. And the backup vocals by Grace ...
There will never be another 70"s & 80"s era again, glad to been apart of it.
Untrue state until you add the 60s which was neck and neck with the 70s.
too bad you were apart of it
What don't you believe in miracles
What don't you believe in miracles
Too bad being apart of it means you weren't a part of it.
Young folks you are listening to one of the most sexiest songs of the 70's. This was a band. Real singers singing song without help from computers. Real musicians that play real instruments. Lyrics that told stories and had meaning. Disappointed with the so called talent these days.
they dont make music like this anymore
Hey! Todays 19 and 20 year olds have sensual love songs with meaning! Just to name a few there's...... um.....there is uh...... gimme a minute...... that song by, um..... Nikki Minaj...er, nevermind!
Southern Bird The musician that writes from the heart is prsctically extinct.
Southern Bird ,..Agree with your statement, ....great lyrics,....great vibe. But also feel like you yell ay kid to get off you lawn!
My parents raised me listening to their vynals and I love this classic shit, you feel the music,it has passion
I miss this music, now it’s all computer trash. This is real voices, and musicians. Brings me back to when I was young and dumb
Yes!
Gotta love those young & dumb times!
lol!
2024 and still to this day, WHAT A SONG!
How is that I'm almost 60 and when I listen to this I'm 22 again? To you young folks out there - keep moving, live life, have fun, enjoy, and make the most of every opportunity. Life is Good !

Yeah, this is timeless. Something everyone needs to feel at least once.
Indeed it travels up a very erotic spectrum with a climax you never forget. One of the best. RIP Marty Balin

Been doing since it came out. Have to walk away so i dont drive myself nuts. But every couple of months there it is through every other genre of music this will shine through and bring back so many different memories through the years. Bless you. This song is special in so many ways
better late then never.
This song has many overlays in vocals by Marty Balin and Grace Slick Not to mention various arrangement sequences. One of Jefferson Starship's best songs EVER.
Ricky Parker absolutely indeed. ❤️❤️🎶🎶
Agree. I personally think it's their masterpiece. It's a work of art.
Yes a great analogy of their vocals.
His voice with Grace compliment each other. His voice is magical!! Lyrics make it almost erotic. Love it!

RIP Marty Balin ....You had a beautifully distinctive voice..it'll never be forgotten
This reminds me of my mother who introduced me to the soft rock era. Love her forever and I will always remember this music
My mother used to love this song. I will always think of her whenever I hear it. Hardly ever hear it anymore. Maybe in the occasional pizza shop or some shopping spots. My mom was a FREAK lol. I didn't know. I was kid.😂 I would sing right along with the song
I am only 24, and still i decide to listen back to the time of my father. I am proud that my dad showed me this music. He past 5 years ago. RIP .Micheal Eugene Riley. 1959-2015 Rock on Brother.

Your Pops had great taste in music. I can't hear Jim Croce or Don McLean without thinking of singing along with mine.
Sorry for your loss at so young....
So much good music from his era. Go through his albums, 8-tracks, cassettes and enjoy music without people complaining all the time.
My neighbors listen to good music, whether they want to or not!!!!🤣
Wow! My sons name is Riley,
My father's name was Michael & my husbands name was Robert Eugene Warren. Within a year & 3 months I lost my father, then father in law & husband. My husband was named after his dad.

I believe in miracles and in God who says "All things are possible for those who believe". I was 13 when this album was released by Jefferson Starship so I bought it and loved this song. If you got to grow up in the 50's through the 80's with all the classic movies & music, YOU were blessed!

Grace Slick's voice touches my soul ....
Marty Balin sang this song. Not Grace Slick.

@@ChopinBrocoli, way to pay attentions, genius. Grace Slick is obviously in this song - consult your local audiologist for a hearing test.

If you like to get high, leave the drugs alone, and listen to this.
It's funny how something in our mind just clicks and we get the urge to hear a particular song over and over again ...and then that song leads to another, and another, and the next thing you know it's 2:45 a.m. and you don't know what happened to the last 6 hours, but you're happy and sad all at once.
Ah yes I know exactly what you mean but is all about the memories that will make us believe in the power of music and song's like this one and many more to smile about 🎸😁
I love going back in my mind with these songs. It's like watching film sometimes. These times of hatred and dishonesty even during this pandemic of this Corona virus. I can still leave it behind if only for a few moments.
escaping into music that moves you to everywhere... Necessary now.
Time well spent in nostalgic venture revisiting past memories. Strongly imbibed beauty, bold impressions made in time when we were young. Heart-felt reminiscing good for the soul. Recall the love's intensity, long days can dull drearily...reawaken the spirit inset innocence recaptured once more..pure sentiments beneath the surface still vibrantly there, lingering an awe of life... thru this music we are renewed.
@@bobrisse9823 How interesting, music the medium. I was feeling all poetical after listening to 'Miracles,' over again, a favorite song my earliest youth.
I have been infatuated with music all my life, actually my family was musical. My brother is self taught plays guitar in a small band, an ordinary group of friends who play classic rock on the east coast, doing nightly gigs just for fun.
My mother liked to sing, had a decent voice. My father also self taught, played by ear ...didn't read music. He played the acoustic guitar, the violin and the banjo. He just used to play when in the mood or with friends over for a beer. I remember, as a young child stopping whatever I was doing to listen.
I like in enjoy many genre's of music, exposed to many different kinds, so long as not negative, I prefer not to involve myself in hate rhetoric or be angry, led in that direction.
Music is a silver thread that connects persons over vast distances, brings together shared experiences though separate from all walks of life.. a medium of universal exchange, reminds myself kinda like a smile means happy greeting in 'glad to see you,' pleased of sorts in every language.
This reminds me so much of when my husband and I were dating in the 70s. We will be married 40 years in December.
Congrats
Now that December has arrived; happy anniversary & may you enjoy many more!
Wow very happy for you guys... Congrats!!
Right on! So super read

There couldn't be a better song. I'm 65 and there was nothing better growing up in the 70's
Will there ever again be a group of artists that have the ability to actually play instruments, sing & arrange to put together music like this? Or maybe it's just too "hard". This song is a work of art.
Agree 100%
There are tons of them just not played on the radio.. Symphony X
Now that's a fucking song!
I second that emotion Sheila!!!

Yes that is allowed whilst listening to this song.

Marty's and Grace's vocals were meant for each other. Wow.
He always said he never "had" Grace like other band members. He made love to her on stage. This song is is the baby they made. And what a child it was.
Actually this song doesn't need Grace...
@@patgalvez4563 your opinion. Slick and Kantner were excellent backing here.
Grace Slicks is the “If only you believe” in the song. Without her in 1968 with Jefferson Airplane, there would be no Jefferson Starship afterwards.
