@@lindamazur4208 Hi Linda, what sort of colour are they, l thought they were a dark pinky colour. Seems l'm wrong let me know. Don't think l've ever seen them at all. Thanks Linda.
If your ever feeling down in the dumps, just watch these two ladies and their overflowing excitement and enthusiasm for things you and I may not even notice. On the Scottish waste heap! The things they get into raptures about, with a view to making jewellery or magical creations at some later date! I always come away smiling, because of excitement in finding a marble, also known as “cod marbles!” A broken off dolls ear! Etc etc! You will come away smiling with a different outlook on life! Well done ladies! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙋♀️😘😘💐💕
When Alex found the doll's leg, I yelled out "It's a leeegggg!!!!" And my mother looked at me like I was mental!!!lol Thank you for another wonderful adventure ladies!!❤❤
Sooooo glad to hear you referring to the reclaimed tile and pottery garden path project. I SO want to see that project and I think you'll be surprised how easy it is to do it in increments. No need to put the project off, thinking of it as daunting and you have to accomplish it in entirety. Start at your doorstep, so every day crossing your threshold, the beauty of it will be inspiration to do another segment.😉 Happy Easter ladies!
Hi . The small blue German marble we use to call them pea wee marble when I use to play with them many years ago. So nice to watch you and your mother doing something both of you like doing. Have a good Easter.
Happy Easter 🐣 everyone 🐰 your little dolls hiding amongst your finds makes me laugh each time🤣 ☮️🇨🇦💜 love the history, Appreciate the work you put in ! Two new bird feeders🐦 until next time! Gail happy Mother’s day
You are playing that girl singing..would love to know her name..also I was unsubscribed this has happened a few times to me on other UA-cam channels..always enjoy your mudlarking and your other channels 5:32 cheers deb from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦🇬🇧
The little item from the steam engine has the words: 1 Atmosphere is 1 kilograms per square inch. That's how they measure pressure inside a vessel. Love the finds! Such a diversity and so much history. ❤
I get so excited Saturday nights because I have something to look forward to watch on Sunday!! I love watching you ladies find the items from 100 years ago and tell us the history that comes with the piece. So awesome! I hope you never stop making these videos and congrats on the 100,000 subscribers! I'm happy to be a part of your channel.❤
HI GAIL AND ALEX!! LOVE THE LION HEAD CASTING, SOO COOL. YOU NEVER CEACE TO AMAZE ME FOR THE THINGS YOU BOTH CAN DO WITH YOUR FINDS. LOVE THE BIRD FEEDERS ON THE WINDOW ABOVE. NICE TO SER ALL THE BIRDS THAT COME TO FEED. WELL THANKS AGAIN AND STAY SAFE ❤️ 🙏
❤❤🎉🎉 yippee from are Steven. From borne in South Elmsall and now living in pontefract next to pontefract Castle. Happy day's Happy Easter 🐣 too you all and all the viewers 🎉. ❤❤
11:09 As soon as I heard you say “bead of the day”, I sang it out loud in the same tune as Robbie Cumming sings “Pub of the Week” in his (earlier) narrowboat videos. Very random? Yes. Did I need to share this information? NO!! 😳 Did it make me happy and also smile? Absolutely!! ❤🙂👍🏽 🙂🐿🌈❤️
When you find those huge glass stoppers you can use a water sander to fix chip to your liking. I thought I spied a water sander in your workshop before. That would be so cool!
Always fun to go treasure hunting with you both.,and hearing the history behind your finds too.I love the little boar and the pretty small marble, and the unusual all over patterned pipe bowl. Walkways get little surprises each time you go.But it’s also the beautiful surroundings you’re in that is wonderful too.Looking forward to the next one ,Love n Light 🥰
In the beginning of your UA-cam journey, I was watching you both because I received better connection and sound with no commercials! You remain my favourite 🧚♀️
You should make light up funny faces using the cod bottles. they look like they have a happy face on each side you could even put some spikey hair in the tops. Just a thought of a craft you could do with slightly broken ones 😅
Peewee/peawee marbles. My grandfather used to have a very large glass jar full of marbles, so whenever we needed some we just dipped our hands in and filled our marble bags.
My grandfather was born in the East End of London in the early 20th century. He called marbles 'glarnies'. I still have the 'glarnies' he brought my father.
Gail & Alex could watch both your channels all day.love to hear your voices also the excitement when you find something good . I look forward with eager anticipation fof new episodes on both channels. Well done.
Why is a cod marble more valuable than a whole cod bottle? I bet there is a lot of people who have never seen a cod bottle before, like me, who would buy one.
I really enjoyed the video, the history of your findings and watching you make new things from the Past. Thank you so much for a great day out. 🤗❤️🌈🙏🕊️
Rewatching this show, I’m curious, do you enjoy finding new ways to display the pudding dolls on each new haul? Many laughs? The power of a smile enlightens many here🦋 how are your other projects going? Garden gate, Mudlarking on your electric bikes, new workshop Reno in your house 🏡 how are the shrews? love all you post! Drone property views are a favourite 🌷thanks for all your hard work, you ladies are trail blazers! ☮️🇨🇦💜
33:59 I think the "1 ATM" on the dial relates to 1 Atmosphere, so it may have registered pressure, possibly in a working steam boiler in a toy. I am told that the children in the U.K. also took the marbles out of the bottles and used them in their slingshots/catapults to shoot at ducks.
Hey girls, I love watching all your adventures, been watching for a few years now, Alex has beautiful hands, mom has a beautiful smile, and you all can make beautiful charms from you finds, love from the USA,
I have an idea for the tiles to the garden pathway… when they get wet, we know rain is a certainty, they will be slippery so how about putting moss between the tiles? should prevent a fall and look real pretty, enhancing the tile colours🧚♀️ Sandra
There is an American mudlarker that takes old bottles and makes whisky glasses and drinking glasses out of them. You guys are so crafty and so many bottles...gather same kind bottle cut them down for a set and sell. Just throwing an idea at you guys.
would love to come out mudlarking with you ladies and learn casting from Alex, keep up the good work, love history of some finds, looking forward to the next video
Thank you for all the interesting information about the finds...so love learning about people, who would probably never hear of.The pressure gauge item will look fantastic as a pendant❤ Oh the little Boar was adorable😍
I so enjoy your calm, lovely and soothing channel. Your voices and explanations just entrances me to another world. I so appreciated learning about marbles and the steam engine fellow. I believe being by the window as you review your finds is my fav. The Music is perfection! Thanks from a loyal fan in Calgary Alberta
Love watching you ladies..it is so relaxing, I’m disabled and spend most of my time in bed reading or watching various mudlarking sights, but I enjoy yours the best..again thank you for taking us along on your adventures..hi from Connecticut, USA ..🥰🌸
I was at a thrift place where you have to dig thru bins the other day. At one point I looked down to the floor and almost said 'Look a bead!' aloud in solidarity with you ladies. Did get a chuckle and kept the red bead. Thanks for these lovely outings and finds.
The broken basket looked simular to Balique, they made woven baskets which were so delicate...I'm sure other pottery manufacturers made them too . Some wonderful finds yet again ❤❤❤❤
Alex I have a pot metal piggy bank that is about 6" long and looks exactly like your toy boar. The bank says Cadly on the bottom, but I have never been able to find a reference to that name.At one time the bank had blue paint, but only a tiny amount of that remains.Thankyou for the nice video.😊
Have you considered making a paving stone with bottle stoppers. Based on videos I have seen, you would put the bottle stoppers upside down in a mold and pour concrete over them. I imagine it would also work with the flat bases of broken bottles. It would be a nice way to use all those beautiful broken colored bottles. Lovely video, as usual. Cheers Ladies.
Mum, I love what you said, the bee's are out, hibernation I spotted them 2 weeks ago what they were drained of energy, if anyone sees a bee struggling, try and pick her up and but her in safety I love watching mum and daughter they have taught me so much
Such lovely little finds! Thank you for sharing, and caring about the history. By the by, my husband suggests that the wee boar with his hole-y bum could be part of a clay pipe smoking kit. Perhaps part of a tamp, a cleaner or ream. He recalls a bit of his great uncle’s pipe smoking habits and seems sure that could be what it is, albeit a poor man’s version probably.
The little boar is so cute, you should totally cast that in silver too!
this !
Girls, how about painting him 'piggy pink'. Then he'd look great.
@@janicecooper875 not this ,lol boars are not pink

Haha! 😆
Without fail, I always forget the tiny doll hiding places and it makes me laugh every time! 😂. Look at darling kitty peeking in to see your haul!
I do the same... First I forget it and when I see the wee little thing, it cracks me up and I desperately try to find it/her in every shot... 😂❤
You are so fortunate to be able to spend time together doing fun things! The bond the two of you have is so precious.

Yes I agree exactly and hope they start soon. Always interesting and pretty pottery shards to be had and placed in the pathway!
I used to visit a re-sale store with craft and art materials (failed during covid), which had a sign saying "Trash is a Failure of Imagination",
That is perfect! 🙌
Hi . The small blue German marble we use to call them pea wee marble when I use to play with them many years ago. So nice to watch you and your mother doing something both of you like doing. Have a good Easter.

I love all your finds, but I especially like hearing all the history behind them, too. Congratulations on your 1 million subs!
In the beginning of your UA-cam journey, I was watching you both because I received better connection and sound with no commercials! You remain my favourite 🧚♀️
the gauge is a pressure gauge, it reads 1 atmosphere = 1 kilogram per square centimetre.
15:30 - It's most certainly a manometer, and a steam powered toy will have used a manometer to check the pressure in the boiler.
We called them peewee marble here in my part of the US!
Congratulations on reaching 100 thousand so quickly. That’s a wonderful milestone that some people never reach.
