- Comica VM30 budget wireless shotgun microphone review and comparison with Comica CVM-VM20
Comica VM30 is an on-camera shotgun microphone which has an ability to wirelessly transmit audio to a receiver. Comica VM30 has great sound quality, awesome kit with hard shell case, foam and wind protection and cables for charging, connecting to a camera, smartphone or even a computer, and also have good wireless range. Comica VM30 also has up to 50h of battery life on a single charge, battery display indicator, smooth gain adjustment with up to 10 levels of gain, low-cut filter at 75 and 150Hz and low-high filter, USB-C charging even while in use, relatively small size and 2 mounting options in the kit. In today’s videos I’ve decided to make a comparison of Comica VM30 vs Comica VM20 and test the wireless capabilities of the Comica VM30. In today’s Comica VM30 microphone review you’ll see: Comica VM30 (wired and wirelessly) vs Comica VM20 sound quality test and comparison outdoors and Comica VM30 vs Sennheiser MKE-600 indoors, Comica VM30 distance test, features overview and more. I appreciate the fact that you displayed the settings for each spot with the microphone!
👌🏻😎
Great review. I got the VM30 not long after its release, and I am very impressed with the sound quality it captures. I'm betting there will be other brands copying this design very soon. Hello, RODE?
Thanks mate) appreciate it!

Welcome)
Great review. Very helpful.
Love your reviews man! Very professional and to the point. What would you want to improve in this incredible mic? I think I would like to see 32-bit internal recording besides the wireless feature in vm40 and I wouldn't mind paying extra because that would be the ultimate mic!
Thanks mate! Totally agree about the internal recording!
Thankyou for you support, the mic with 32bit internal recorder will come this year.
@@user-yq3zq2fe8dAwesome news! Can we expect it by fall?
@@user-yq3zq2fe8d thats awesome! Can we expect it by summer?
This might sound dumb but Im looking for some advice. Im running a Sony a6000 and would like to make vlogs but the camera does not have a headphone jack. recently saw this guy used for 100 usd. Im not sure about how wireless microphones work, does this mic allow the audio to be stored in the receiver and later extracted by connecting to a pc?
ive been running my a6000 with a phone and a cheap lav/shotgun but I feel that having a wireless setup is makes the setup easier, looks cleaner and more professional lmao
No, it has no internal recording capabilities
hey! sorry if im responding late but, ive been trying to find an boom pole to put on the v30. everytime i find one, i overthink and end up thinking its not compatible. What recommendations do you have to get the right pole for this mic? it would really help alot!
It’s wireless mate) you can use any pole 😅
@@NOlimitsON tahnk you so much... i was stressing for no reason😂
Is it always best to use the mic gain on +10 and set the camera to the minimum amount of gain possible?
There is a rule - mic gain first (the highest gain without audio clipping) - then set the camera gain
@@NOlimitsON Got it. Thanks.
What were the parameters you used on the mic for the first scene?
Max gain on the mic, about 8 gain in camera)
😀I've seen most of the major reviews of this microphone on Yt in a row and yours as the last one. I like your one the most . Really enjoyed, very relevant and knowledgeable. The views will come with time, don't worry. One small hint (the only one I could think of): when presenting the sound samples, be just a tad bit slower, more articulated, collected and unhurried; give it just a bit more time. Your language skill is impressive anyway (took me a while to hear your Russian accent, usually I recognize it right away), so you have nothing to fear when speaking out in a calm, expressive, self-assured way. Especially outdoors. Another neat little trick is to use a young woman /girl to assist you with the samples and the recordings. It adds variation in voice timbre/samples and appearance and is a refreshing element for any video. Especially if it's done in an inconspicuous manner (look how convincing the silhouettes 🗣and small details are in Curtis Judd's video).
A wonder Oleg if you've made a unintentional mistake: at 6:34 you say _...low and high frequency cut mode_ and at 7:55 _...cutting both low and high frequency,_ but isn't it actually the opposite - a mode *_accentuating (emphasizing)_* high and low frequencies?
Keep up your good work!
Thanks a lot for such a detailed comment! I’ll consider your suggestions for sure! Very pleased with your kind words! Stay tuned, mate 😉
