      1. Check Spam/Promotions folder
      2. Double Check email (correct)
      3. Double Check it is not giving you an error or incorrect email prompt
      4. Make sure you haven't already subscribed (won't send duplicate email)

    Hi Jason... quick query, boss has just changed my Mac to a PC and now when using pen tool (Illustrator & Wacom), if I want to change direction so press shift C, when I click P it's loosing the connection every time. Is there a way of getting round this?

    • @JasonSecrest
      @JasonSecrest  4 роки тому

      Alt or Option Key will change direction if you are looking to change direction for a sharp corner as you are going. If you are doing a 2-Step Approach then you can drop down your anchors first, then come back around and do the Shift + C which is your anchor point tool.

    Amazing series/channel/tutorials! Could you make a video showing how you create the initial anchor points? I'm a bit confused on them. Are they intended to be like a sketch before inking? Sorry I'm new to illustrator. Thank you.

    • @JasonSecrest
      @JasonSecrest  6 років тому +1

      Are you going to be using a mouse or a tablet? I can definitely do a video that starts with the initial sketch to show where I place the anchors and get down the initial line work. If you are using a tablet it is as easy as tracing your work with the pencil tool.

    • @tinktwiceman
      @tinktwiceman 6 років тому

      Hello Jason, thank you for the response. Yes, I'll be using a Wacom tablet. That would be awesome to see how you do your initial sketch or tracing and how you are creating the anchor point guides. Do you sketch your ideas in illustrator or scan your work (from paper)? Thank you so much. Your channel is amazing :)

    • @JasonSecrest
      @JasonSecrest  6 років тому +1

      I am still a fan of paper. So my process is to get down the initial sketch - scan- and then do the initial line work or shapes. Most of the time I will be using the pen tool to have more control over where I place the anchors so I can edit easier. I am planning out the tutorial now- if life is good I might be able to get it out today.

    I just bought my huion tablet. Im still new to digital drawing. Which tool should I use to draw? Pencil or brush tool? Im quite confused.

    • @JasonSecrest
      @JasonSecrest  3 роки тому +1

      I am going to recommend the pencil tool to start. It is still my first tool I use for a tablet and would be the easiest to learn with a new tablet (and if you are new to Adobe Illustrator)

    • @JasonSecrest
      @JasonSecrest  3 роки тому +1

      Correct. Use Paint Brush for Pressure and Pencil for more control/options. I like the functionality way better for the Pencil Tool. I also recommend adding keyboard shortcuts for the Pencil Tool (Suite) Join Tool, Smooth, and Path Eraser.

    Hi. I’m looking for a Wacom Tablet using for Illustrator only. What Tablet you were using exactly. Wacom Intuos …

    • @JasonSecrest
      @JasonSecrest  2 місяці тому

      For this recording, I was using a Wacom Intuos 3 (not recommended or available). If you are going to purchase a tablet for Adobe Illustrator, purchase an extremely inexpensive NON-DISPLAY TABLET that DOES NOT have Express Keys. I will recommend the One by Wacom ($49 - $99). You will 100% be using Keyboard Shortcuts for Adobe Illustrator.
      *Please note that I recommend the Pencil Tool for Adobe Illustrator, which does not use Pressure. You just need the ability to trace your own drawings, and then bounce back to using other tools using your mouse. 99% of the program does not require a Tablet.

    • @iceman280782
      @iceman280782 2 місяці тому

      This makes sense what you are saying. Thank you. Although I also think now that a tablet for Illustrator only is not necessary it might be faster than using a mouse?
