      Good vid Ron,I've a korg minilogue original but feel like getting this as well but would I need it as the minilogue would sound the Same as the volca bass?through playing bass low notes on the minilogue.?

    In fact that volca is a real synth, not only for bass lines, seems that you can do much more !

    Aside from the colour balance, this has to be one of the most thorough and the easist to follow tutorial on the Vulca bass. Thanks man, this has saved me a bunch of time. Beats that pesky manual.
    Also liked how you've anotated the 'time line' to show what each section is about. I've not seen that before. Very useful. Liked and subscribed.
    @12:24 you pressed something which treated the sequence like an arpeggiator. I blinked and nearly missed this. Then i figured it out, you used 'LFO target pitch' to change the overal tone of the sequence. That one trick is worth elaborating on.

    This is gold. My Volca Bass rocked up this morning without a manual (or a box; eBay purchase!) and although I was making some excellent noises I needed to know why, and how, not wtf. This is as thorough a tutorial as I could have wished for so- as the Bass is my fourth (of five) Volca- liked, and subbed. Good work!

    Thanks you for this. I picked one of these up on a whim, as I wanted a 80's Moog bass sound on the cheap, and I had just purchased a Korg D1 that can be used as a controller. I know nothing about synths. This really helps. The Volca looks like a toy, but it's quite capable.

    This is a really great video! I’m a total newbie when it comes to this stuff and I’m looking to get into it. I’m a guitar player and would love to play over the top of some bass lines created with this and kinda experiment. What do you think is the best way to go about this? Would it require using an audio interface and software? Thanks and sorry if that’s confusing haha

    great video!, i just did not understand very well the difference with the Amp on and off, when is off I still can modify the different options of the EG. What does the amp button provide ? also if you can make a video with the functionality of the sustain , slide and act step buttons will be great!

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  5 років тому +1

      Amp means volume applying to the envelope. With it off it will only affect the filter.

    Was thinking of getting one, this video convinced me not to. I've been spoiled by newer Volcas, only having 8 saveable patterns and not being able to chain them is a deal breaker for me

  • @chymer

    What about the Sustain On function ? Is the only stuff in dont understand well.

    • @RonCavagnaro
      @RonCavagnaro  4 роки тому

      Sustain means what the note does when you hold it down if it's turned off then it will release after held down.

  • @deepseadiver8191
    @deepseadiver8191 3 роки тому +1

    How do I start with a 100% blank sequence? When I press FUNCTION + CLEAR ALL / ACIVE STEP / PART / SLIDE it clears the active steps but does not clear the notes (meaning that inserting steps in a clear pattern follows melody saved in memory by factory). The only way to get rid of it is by going to FUNCTION + STEP REC and programming a melody. Even if I live record a melody before doing so, the melody plays but on whichever step the new melody wasn’t recorded the sequencer plays factory notes. EDIT: right after I posted the comment I found this thread: www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=740523&sid=1724c259ca1b46b1402e866c513b3ab2
