It took me an hour to figure out the Data validation @2:06:00. Incase if anyone is stuck there, make sure that the cells are named according to the city before using the =indirect() function. You have to go to Formula tab> Name Manager and then create names for the range of cells according to the drop down list you want the end result to correlate to, otherwise the indirect function will not work.

I really appreciate you people's effort for breakthrough tutorial for beginners in Excel, please I need the data sets for practice. Where can I get it?
Absolutely wonderful video Simplilearn!! Just found it and I am working my way through it. It is very clear and I really love it! I did run into a problem with one of the countif formula (approx 1:31:30) used to answer the second question. In the question, it says to find the sales person who made more than 3 sales. When you paste the countif formula to the rest of the table, the range reference changes making the sales reps at the bottom half of the table to fail the criteria. Can be avoided if the range is static (i.e.$C$2:$C$44). Or did I misunderstand the question?

It's long well course. The only problem is that there is no practice files so it's useless if you can't follow along. The main purpose is not to watch the 4 hour video, it's boring to just watch. I can just watch movies if I want it to, it's more enjoyable. The main purpose to practice what's in the video so I can use it in real life. At 2:17:23 the region at the top is Central where as it changes to WEST at 2:17:24. Can you please let us know which step was missing there?

sir at 1:32:36 we havent given the range for sales>3 then how would the function automatically take that particular column and compute the result,like it can compute the result taking any column right...can u explain this
