PS2 is one of my favorite eras of gaming, as it was not only an experimental era where devs dared trying different ideas instead of just sticking to one IP and making infinite sequels. Also this was a time where gaming had firmly gotten its footing in the 3rd dimension, after casting its training wheels which was the PS1/N64 era (as much as I love this polygonal graphics). But then why oh why do you have to show me great looking games like Radiata Stories that were only released in Japan and America? I mean my PS2 is chipped so it can play anything, but still.
It was also the last era before they shifted the focus to multiplayer and game patching so western AAA devs were releasing bangers since that was the only way to see profit. Konami, EA, Activision have a lot of great stuff on the PS2 and the other consoles of that era.
