I love comparing late gen ps2 games to the early ones of 2000. It is crazy how much the graphics and polygon count increased. PS2 was a beast once developers had all the documentation and learned how to use the vu0 and vu1. To this day I am blown away at the character models of silent hill 2,3 and 4. The faces have so much detail. Team silent was a gem

My fav underrated gem on PS2 is a mountain bike game called Downhill Domination. Many hour spent with friends racing down hills, getting massive air and doing insane combo tricks. Quadruple backflips. As many backflips you can squeeze in during airtime. And many massive and varied maps and tracks with little unique hazards and set pieces on the way. So much fun. It's a unique take on the extreme sports game. It's like half fantasy racing and half real mountain biking. It's one of the few examples of a biking game done right. Oh and there's combat! You can punch, kick, swing a stick and throw water bottles at rivals. Check it out!
Glad to see some love for Gregory Horror Show. Hardly anyone has heard of it and it was amazing. Shame it was never released on PSN as they don't really make games like this anymore.
I couldn't help but click the like button right at the first game shown, as I just *love* Ghost Hunter! The mix between Resident Evil and Ghostbusters just kicks ass, an the production values are great! Keep these videos coming, they're so cool!

I like that you mention having a "satisfying experience" showing the sexy girl. I always thought that shooter was called Silpheed, I think you misspelled it. It's always good to see those more obscure games being more recognized, I think the PS2 will grant you dozens of episodes just by this subject.
Cold Winter was definitely inspired by Goldeneye and Soldier of Fortune. For a PS2 FPS exclusive, it was pretty fun. A great example of how great gameplay can matter more than just flashy HD graphics that most current FPS games hide behind. And man do I wish that Punisher game would get remastered and uncensored for current consoles and pc. Dang shame it didn't get a sequel. Volition will never make games like that today, lame... Their not even doing Punisher comic books now lol.

Wow! That 'Slipheed' game looks exactly like Silpheed on the PS2! I love how hardly anyone bothered to correct him and he even calls the game Slipheed more than once.
I like his videos but he's not the best with accuracy or editing. I noticed the Silpheed error too and it's one of many others. On a video about DS games he called Avalon Code, 'Alavon Code,' multiple times. His audio errors are blatant too, as I've heard him say the exact same things twice in a row on many occasions, like he merged footage without aligning it right. And his th-fronting is distracting, especially when he was showcasing 'Enthusia,' which he kept calling 'Enfoosia.'
Cold winter was great, I remember playing a lot of multi-player with my friends and having fun. Also you could do combos in beast form pretty much since bloody roar 1, but 2 made it much easier/seamless

I have Slipheed (Sylpheed) on Sega CD, this sequel on PS2 you showed, and Project Sylpheed on Xbox 360. All 3 underrated for their time, not ground breaking...but just respectable gameplay, fun settings and good enough graphics... that always went under the radar in their respective time periods. Gregory Horror Show is another one that caught my eye while emulating, unfortunately I don't have an authentic copy yet though of that PAL only gem.

Great video, sir! A bit of useless information. "Slipheed: The Lost Planet" is a remake/ reimagining of the old Sierra Online bullet hell shooter "Silpheed". The original game was a PC game from the x486 IBM era. That's 1989, kids. Christ, I'm old.😄
Interestingly, Ghost hunter has a much improved US release from Namco. Many improvements were made to the gameplay and while it's not amazing still, it's definitely better to play.

Gregory Horror Show gameplay reminds me of Clocktower 3 gameplay like hide and seek from stalker. Well it's Capcom game and Gregory Show came out a year later after Clocktower 3 (it's different franchise btw).
I still have my ps2 and all games.....cant play them now even with the platform....they are so primitive compared to games today....but some of the storylines were freakin great....wish they would go back and bring them up to date...without wrecking the original story.....

yup nobody talks about okage. It should be a cult classic by now but there were so many games on ps2 it became overlooked.
I still have my ps2 and all games.....cant play them now even with the platform....they are so primitive compared to games today....but some of the storylines were freakin great....wish they would go back and bring them up to date...without wrecking the original story.....
