I went through about 8 saddles in my first few years of cycling. I even tried a few other 3-D saddles, the Specialized Power and the Fizik Adaptive but they weren't quite it for me. Then I tried this one, the Romin Evo Mirror. They have improved it with twice as many struts and nodes (more cushioning) while still supportive and just as light. On my first few rides it was pretty good but I wasn't 100% sure. So I put my old one saddle back on, a Selle Italia, and I couldn't believe how hard it was right at the start. I did one ride, put the Evo Mirror back on, and now I'm done looking for saddles. I guess I just needed a few rides to get used to the shape. Now I'm dialed in. It's amazing!! It feels the same at the end of a 3-hour ride as it did after the first 30 minutes! I never could stay in the saddle without a break for more than 60-90 minutes at a time, but now I just ride and I don't care at all about the saddle because I always feel pretty close to how I felt at the start of the ride. It was a very high price, but I won't miss the money anymore and I will always enjoy the saddle. And because it's not foam or gel it won't break down. I can ride with it for years. If you have the money try one.
PS: I have a bunch of these in stock hopefully one day they will trickle down his technology and make a ti rail saddle at expert price point for $200........ this saddle is something for everyone to be able to try

I'm a heavy guy so saddle contact point is definitely a weak spot for me. So far I've tried the regular Power Mirror, but it's short nosed so either the postion works for you or not. For comparison, the Fizik Adaptive 3d printed saddle is much longer so you can sit on the front of it when you're in the aero position for example (I use clip-on tri bars for long-distance rides). The romin evo mirror looks to be equivalent to the Fizik one - with longer nose so I'm very keep to try it out too.

Spec is out of control with their prices IMO and the crazy thing is people are willing to pay it. For fun I just weighed my S-Works saddle that’s probably 10 yrs old at 113g 😳.
I think the problem here might be that you have found a saddle that is working for you, and therefore you think that everyone are like you. In reality, there are people out there that have been searching for a saddle which does not give them discomfort or sores for years without finding any. These may be people who love bike riding, but for which the saddle has always reduced the joy of it. To them, this new technology might be a godsend, and the price fully worth it.
You know what’s worse? The fact that I can’t even just walk into a store that has it in stock locally. I waited half a year for mine, picked it up when my allocated unit came. Went down, picked mine up, hopes to get a second unit for my mtb, and was told that EVERY UNIT sold out the day it came. My butt loves this saddle. It makes my ride a metaphorical carpet. I love how muted the road feels. Frankly, every naysayer complaining that this is to expensive is music to my ears; it means less competition for the product.
I’m one of the few persons that’s going to change the Romin Mirror back to the S-works Romin evo. I’m not a heavy person (1m93 and 75kg) but i have a lot off more pressure with the mirror version. Let me explain it a little bit: I found that the mirror versions are more made for persons that sit at the same position continuously. I’m a person that is continue moving on the saddle (i’m also riding more at the tip of the saddle) and how more i went to the tip how more pressure i had in comparison with the normal Romin Evo version. Also i had problems with the mirror romin in combination with my Maap bibshorts. After a couple rides the wear was enormous. Maybe a combination of the 3D printed stuff and my lot of moving on the saddle. I don’t have this wear with the normal Romin Evo.
Problem is that these 3D printed saddles are too expensive to try the fit. What if you don't like it. Specialized should offer test 3D saddles. I would buy one in a heart beat if I now for sure the saddle would be perfect for me.

No guys I'm only 65kg. Yes someone went down in front of me and me and bike front flipped over them. Bike landed upsidedown on saddle and hoods and I am almost positive that's how the cracks happened. Irreparable?
I would recommend going to a store and see what they say. If it is a crash they sometimes have crash replacement programs setup to help soften the blow
@@ayowser01 I'm not heavy myself (60+ kg), but the most I'd go for is titanium, saves me from wondering "Can my seatpost take this?".
3D printing is all about cost reduction. Less waste and less manufacturing cost. So to see a company charge more for it makes me angry. I like specialized, but they really screwed their customers on this one. Thanks for the excellent review though. Appreciate it.
Yea that’s what I thought too. I didn’t realize why it’s so much. But it fella amazing!!!
@@GCPerformance18 yep, 3d printing should not cost more. Specialized are choosing to charge whatever they want and morons are buying it. Veblen Goods
But the investment for the tech isn’t cheap.
Fine dining is the same isn’t it
For a “so called” expensive saddle it sure is sold out everywhere
$450 is outrageous. These greedy corporations sure know how to be scumbags
$350 for the Box 📦 and remaining for the Saddle 🤣🤣🤣
lmao
It should be cheaper than a padded saddle because there is less manual labor to manufacture it. 3D printing is don't by a machine not a human. Tell Specialized that would you? $450 and no guaranty it is the right saddle for my arse. I'll tell you what, let me ride it on one of my long day long rides, if it is more comfortable I'll buy it.
I would think that too that it is much less to make but I don’t know. Maybe the material is more money
Does it have a life time? I heard that it has and is as short as 2 years. Can you confirm that?
yes I believe the saddles have lifeitme for them
They are already out of stock on their site.
I have them in stock
@@GCPerformance18 Where are you actually located?
It doesn't look like you can get this saddle in a white color.
You can not. Right now
Fizik has a new 3d printed saddle that looks like the specialized saddles..... Its more comfy and has hollow steel rail as an option.
I felt it at Sea Otter last week
GC, would you recommend this saddle over the S-Works Power Mirror?
It’s a lot of preference. I still prefer the power mirror
@@GCPerformance18 Had my bike fit yesterday and my bike fitter confirmed that my size is 143. I will be getting the power mirror🤙🏼
Great video that's just too much money.
Thank yoi
Is anyone using any of this saddles for gravel rides?just wondering i just got a romin evo 3d gonna try it on sat but wondering how this will do on gravel if anyone has any experience with them on gravel thanks in advance
I know people running it for moutnain bike rides and they love it
@@GCPerformance18 yea i read someone else is running but i got the romin evo 3d for my specialized roubaix and was trying to figure out if the power was better for gravel but im guessing thats all preference hopefully i will be able to ride tomorrow if the weather gets better it will be my first time riding on it since i just got it yesterday and i was thinking if its good i can get a power for my cervelo since its a flatter saddle but we will see thanks
Do you ship?
Yes send me an email
Fit is more import then a expansive sadle
of course but you want to make sure the saddle you are riding works for you
Hi do you sale the mirror saddle specialized I interested on 143
Confiest saddle i ever used
hell yea my friend
Bet that makes for one happy a5s for that money! 😂😂😂😂😂
hahahha it si snice
Awesome 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
$450 for a saddle no way.
jose
Is the color called Absolute Black? More overpriced wankery.....
lmao no but 3d printed saddles have been this price for a long time
@@GCPerformance18 Which is why there should be more long term reviews of how the saddle holds up, does it wear out the bibs, comfort level, etc. This would help people make the decision to spend the extra cash. If this were the miracle saddle that would keep me comfortable for a 4 hour ride I would gladly spend the money because I haven't found a saddle like that in more than 35 years. I think it would shock you to know how many saddles I've purchased in all those years.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!!!!
Power saddle rubbed my inner thighs; snub-nosed design also wasn't great for me. Romin Mirror works is exactly what I was after.
Very nice!!!
Another overpriced product from Specialized
yea but this prioce is no suprise they have had this model out before for the same price
