Arranged by A.P. Taylor

Happy Halloween from our [the United States Naval Academy Band] Trombone Quartet!
Produced by Musician 1st Class Matt Harriman
Audio mixing by Chief Musician Jason Broadwater
Wow! Love the acoustics in that church! So boomy, perfect for trombone quartet and this piece.
So boomy, I love that
Hi Lisa!
There's no sound in this world like trombones together. Awesome job guys!
I agree they are unique. Loved hearing them playing game of thrones tunes
THAT is why Wagner used them so much.
Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Por eso es mi instrumento musical favorito
0:23 love that brassiness, probably my favorite part of trombones
exactly, that pedal note is so satisfying to hear
@@bb8749 You need a pedal to get that low? I never had one when I used to play. No wonder everyone else was so much better lol.
Kane Williams well you need a bass trombone with two triggers not an actual pedal
@@kamilodavila5823 You can play that note on a tenor as well. Its just a pedal d.
@@mariman1234 You need a tenor with a trigger
Their pitch placement was really locked in. Overtones sounded great!
I love the trombone so much. It can either be the most beautiful thing you hear or the most menacingly horror sound.
The Alpha and the Omega ..
Beautiful. Music is eternal. Music education should never be given up upon!
Wow! The resonance was great! I wish I was there to feel the vibrations! I loved how you could see the fugue in the movement of the trombones. Trombones are underappreciated instruments
Yes! An Audio-Visual treat👌✌️
Whoever the instrument makers were would be very proud of their work hearing such excellence.
My husband started the first Trombone Quartet from the USNA way back in 1998. Good to see this group has survived all these years.
Bravo!!! Kudos to your husband - please add at least his first name here.
Wow those pedal notes! Bass trombone layin' it down
They're just mocking the organ right in front of it
Cold
They did too✌️
no amatuers here...all enlisted...all pros...bravo
And that controlled tempo ! One can hear every note. So unlike hearing it rushed on an organ. Our military musicians are invariably the best.
Not the best lol. Much better trombonists out there for sure. Quite out of tune
I would love to meet the guy that posted this! You just know he’s a classy bloke with impeccable taste and sophistication.
Great quartet! I kept waiting for the organ to join in. Nothing sends chills up my body more than trombones and a huge pipe organ playing together.
Only just seen this. As a Trombonist in the UK since school, nearly 40 years, This was beautiful. Well done
Love the trombone sound!!!. Love this quartet. Thanks for sharing. This is beautiful. My brother in law was 1983 graduate of Naval Academy. However, since I was civilian employee of US Army and my father served in the Army during WWII: Go Army - Beat Navy.
Great instrumental mastery and immense musicality allow these very young soloists to express themselves, in an excellent way, from the out-of-octave D of the fourth trombone, to the clear notes of the fifth octave of the first, interpreting this very difficult masterpiece by the Great Joan Sebastiano Bach,
A heartfelt round of applause to all the guys in the quintet!
Perfect!
Awesome. Love it.
I've never heard some of these parts played slowly! I must say, it doesn't change the awesomeness of this piece in any way!
Fabulous, gave me chills.
Expertly arranged. Way to go guys!
Wow, that was amazing! I just started learning the trombone 12 weeks ago.
omg it sounds so incredibly great!!!
Music I like, instruments I love, and wow! You guys all did an amazing job. Thank you
Absolutely freaking awesome!
Great and totally awesome trombone playing.
0:23 the pedal toneeee

Molto bravi!
ESPETACULAR!
Fenomenal
Absolutely gorgeous, sounds so much like “Canadian Brass”
Except not a brass quintet. So... Not at all really
Awesome
Wow!
СУПЕР!!! ДЯКУЮ!!!💛💙
Those pedals are absolute insanity.
Love the low tone
Beautiful!
I never knew four trombones could do so much!
EPIC

The king of instruments just got put to shame but the organ couldn't even be mad.

0:23 YES
Suh-weet!
and the angel suddenly sat up alarmed, “is that it?!” he asked and another angel replied, “no, it’s just a trombone quartet”
These guys are good but, listen to the trombone quartet from south of the border, particularly, the bass trombonist Ivan chinchilla
Das haut einen glatt um.
BZ guys!!!
Intonationnnnn🤒🤕🤧
2:23
Where's the rest?
pov blue lobster learns instruments
1.25 ?in tune I wonder?
Where is the rest of it?
What amazes me is how, during the fastest passages, every note is beautifully in tune. It’s easy to play (and to hear) the long ones in tune. Also, their articulation is so precise; the effort it takes to agree is the mark of the highest level of musicianship. Lastly, their tone is so alike - this takes years and years to cultivate. Yes, I heard the little out-of-tune error. Forgive them. They are human, and the slightly wrong intonation, well, is like scars in fine leather, the saying goes…
Well said👍
I'm natrual God according to constitutional law I'm in charge
4 parts :)
Chord at 0:30
I have a hunch that on the last day, it is a trombone that shall sound and raise the dead, not some wimpy little trumpet wannabe.
COVID 19 official music
海軍ネービー 👍
Wow that's some amazing playing of the Trom "Bone"
(Look at my username and profile picture.)
shut it
(you're cringe)
I dont know if it's the acoustics, but every so often the intonation seems a little off, I know, every asshole is a critic lol.
Soxer socks to show
Why would you show enlisted personnel that haven't had a promotion in 16 years?
The one with gold service stripes only shows him having over 12, but not more than 15 years. I'm more in shock about their E-7 or above dress blues while wearing E-6 ranks. There already exists the blue jacket for E-6 and below, not sure why they wear the E-7 or abovd uniform just for being in a navy band.
Ouch not in tune at 1 min
sorry
