Rule of thumb, if it changes color, texture or smell, it's probably time to toss it. Otherwise you should be good to go. I hardly ever throw out makeup myself so most of my stuff have probably past their "expiration date" 😅 But the number is mostly a recommendation, expiration dates/best before dates are usually there so that the consumer can't sue the company if they used an "expired" produkt.
I had to throw away my favorite lipstick, because bubbles had started to form on its surface and it felt weird on my lips, so definitely no religious staring at numbers here. I'm more careful with eye products, though, since eye infection doesn't sound great.
Marie H on certain products yes. Mascara is a definite no. You have bacteria getting close to your eye which can cause an eye infection. Replacing the mascara is a necessary thing to do every 3 months. It won’t kill you to pay an extra 10-15 bucks rather than paying for antibiotics and a doctor visit for an eye infection.
me. I spend more than 15 bucks it becomes a lifetime investment, thats what I told myself when I justified buying the $50 pallet, that is what I am living with
i would rather wear the same underwear for two days straight than turn it around. that's just way more dirty than wearing it for two days, or isn't it?
That lipstick on the teeth one... Funny anecdote. I tried to do that as a high schooler at my first job, a supermarket in a rather uppity neighborhood. I should mention that I had very two very crooked teeth at the time. The woman I was helping had burgundy lipstick all over her mouth. It covered the front four teeth and was stuck in the crevices. It was impressive, really, that she hadn't noticed it herself. Well, I tried to be discreet and said, "Hey..." and just tapped my own teeth with a meaningful look. She said, "Yes, dear, I see you have crooked teeth," in that snotty tone that I can't stand. So, I just smiled, told her to have a nice day, and let her walk out of there like she'd just eaten a raw animal. I wonder if these kinds of people go home, realize their mistake, and feel any sort of regret at being awful to others.
I mean if you're a black girl with natural hair like me, washing your hair once a week or once every ten days is pretty standard, nothing gross about it
I’m white and my mom properly washes her hair once in two weeks because she just has so much and so thick hair and it never gets greasy and as we probably all know, washing your hair often is not healthy, so I don’t see anything gross about it. Even when my hair gets greasy every other day and so I have to wash it every night I don’t think it is gross when it gets greasy either. Till there’s no smell and it’s not annoying anyone, it’s my business.
You're supposed to put them in a mesh bag when washing them so they aren't moving everywhere and getting pulled, but you shouldn't put them in the dryer at all
Wait... How do you get your mascara to last almost 4 years? Oh my gosh teach me your ways! Even running it under hot water or using eyedrops allows maybe a year
i really wear make up every day but i also could never maybe just once where i was sooo drunk and i was really bad in taking it off so there was still a little bit
2:38 with telling people about something wrong with their appearance, i think a good rule of thumb is if they can fix it within like 10 minutes or less (e.g. Unblended makeup, food in teeth, hair out of place) then let them know, if it's something they can't just quickly fix (e.g. Weight, haircut, acne) then don't point it out; they're most likely fully aware of those sorts of things
Oh gosh as a teenage girl who is afraid to talk to anyone about anything personal out of fear of sounding weird this made me feel so normal!!! Thank you so much 🙏
1:17 I have. I was ten and my parents were sleeping so I plugged in my moms flat iron and started flat ironing my hair. Idiot me said I wonder how the heating part feels. I put my finger on the hot part and I burned my finger. It was so hot my finger swelled like a balloon and it took a few months to cure. My mom hit me with the belt and after that I learned my lesson never use a flat iron again. Now I am 16 and after that day I never used a flat iron again.( a flat and curling iron is practically the same thing)
One week? I’ve gone 3 weeks (with braids) but I don’t even wash my hair weekly (don’t @ me, I’m black💀) I wash it every week, but sometimes I can go 2 weeks, 3 weeks is the longest I’ve gone but sis...
A couple days ago, I had the curling iron on on top of the counter and I knocked a container off a shelf with my elbow. I bent down to pick it up and hit my head on the iron. I now have a red square on my forehead.
3:36 I did once or maybe didn’t turn it inside out but I had a liner so it was less gross- anyway I was desperate I was at like a sleepover or something and forgot a second pair so I just rewore them for like an extra few hours until I got home
My hair falls out if I wash it more than once a week. Its used to be greasy when I was younger but is dry now. Ends up like straw if I keep washing it.
lol, yeah mine's at least 3 years old. I go through mascara real quick that I never make it to the expiration date, but lipsticks and blush and highlight seem to last forever. They just don't run out, and I'm not about to throw it away! That shit's expensive
Might be for another video? I know they'll film multiple videos while doing something for another (like those wear this for a day/week ones), or something. I thought they were watches honestly.
"Never have i ever burned myself with a curling iron"... well, it was a straightener, but i have burned myself countless times, including once recently when i accidentally stepped on it and burned the bottom of my foot... i have cried often (due to contacts or just emotions) and ruined my mascara, but my eyeliner ALWAYS seems to stay on well (praise sephora brand eyeliner). I've definitely used makeup past the expiration date because makeup is hella expensive and i don't wear it often. I'm not throwing away a nearly full container of mascara just because it's been 3 months...
I can relate with some situations, but I can't imagine myself going through a whole week without washing my hair. I do it every two days and still have the worry if my hair is not looking good, or if it smells bad...
I don't use mascaras or eyeliners past the expiration date, but mainly because I've used them up by that point (wear them everyday). I don't really mind using "expired" powder products though.
I think it is a wonderful video and awesome idea. Loved learning about these people and understanding their point of view. Everyone has a different point of view and opinions.

There’s a lot of these things I haven’t done, mainly because I don’t wear half the beauty stuff required ... like gel nails, and I don’t use a curling iron
No gurl, please don't use your hair as dental floss. Your hair has tons, TONS of bacteria & the oils that "come out of you" are naht gonna clean your teeth anyway omg....
It works so well.. I don't get how anyone hasn't done it... Like you're out in public and a piece of food gets stuck in your teeth and it's super annoying and you can feel it, and maybe people can even see it. But who carries floss in their purse all the time? So you go to the bathroom, and first you try to get it out with your fingernail, but sometimes it's really stuck in there, especially if it's stuck between a molar. So you just gotta do what you gotta do. How has that never happened to you? xD
cosmic_latte and your mouth is already the dirtiest most bacteria covered part of your body anyway. Unless you've just dunked your hair in raw sewage, it's gonna be cleaner than your mouth, so while it may not be as clean as floss, it's still taking bacteria out of your mouth when you floss. In the end, you're getting slightly cleaner, just less cleaner than if you'd have used floss :P

It actually is not recommended that any bras, particularly those with molded cups and/or wires, go in the washer or dryer. Ideally they should be handwashed. No one has time for that, imo, though, so the next best thing is throwing them in a mesh bag (or pillowcase) and putting them in the washer on delicate. And cold water. (But all clothes should be washed in cold water, anyway.) The reason is that the material can break down faster, molded cups can shift/fold/break apart, and wires can shift. Not to mention the possibility of tearing or hooks getting caught in the machine if they're loose in it. Source - worked in a specialty bra shop for 6 years.
I just threw away a blush from 2013 & still use lipsticks from 2015. No shame expiration dates are unaffordable suggestions to me... 😳
Facts sis!
I think their also made so you cannot sue the company if it turned bad after the expiration date.

nope. It ruins the wire and the elastic. Wash them in the sink or the bath tub and then hang them up with your towels.

My God, they're friends, if she went too close I think the person on the left would've said something
I love how the two groups are completely different. One group says no to everything, the other group says yes.😂😂😂

6:20 nina... sis... majority of bras can be put in the washing machine but not the dryer... like mine... lord have mercy
