He did: Sep 4, 2016, Gang Land’s Jerry Capeci writes: Joseph (Joe The Cat) LaForte, a longtime Gambino crime family soldier who amassed a small fortune in real estate and who for many years owned the Little Italy building where the late Mafia boss John Gotti held court at the Ravenite Social Club on Mulberry Street during his heyday, cashed in his chips last week at the ripe old age of 99. LaForte hailed from Little Italy but moved decades ago to Staten Island where he ran the crime family’s lucrative bookmaking operations. He died in his sleep in the early morning of August 23 in the home where he lived alone on Scheffelin Avenue in the exclusive, historic Lighthouse Hill section of the island that was settled by Dutch, French and English farmers in the late 1600s. “They don’t make ’em like that anymore,” said one local denizen who knew LaForte, his background, and his family members for many years. “He was a low key, low-level soldier who made a lot of money and didn’t piss it away. He bought property in SoHo and Little Italy when you could get it for a song and he lived off it for the rest of his life.”

I guess just like me they were attracted to the beauty and tranquility of the Catskills and it w was an area not too far from NYC although far enough that it is a secluded area in many places a place you can come to not be bothered. I wonder if you ever visited the Catskills for vacation just to get away from the city for a little while to relax. Thanks again for sharing everything you do, I truly appreciate it. Take care and stay safe and healthy.
What interaction, if any did you have with The Chin?
As always enjoy hearing your stories as well as to say that with your stories there is always something to learn from them. THANK YOU FOR YOUR STORIES

They’re murderers. Do an honest day’s work without doing anything illegal. Now that’s something to respect.
Keep up the great stories as long as you feel good about it.
It’s always good to see you!! I'm waiting for you to create the captain level on patreon 😂👌, can you make a video about frank fappiano ( death contract )!

“Sammy, Carlo Gambino and Paul Castellano didn’t do this to me”
Sammy: “I know” nodding his head in agreement... “but their both dead and Johns the Boss now” 😩😭
Sammy, you are the real deal!!thanks for sharing all these great stories!!!
Sammy, this Joe The Cat sounds like an interesting feller. Good story. I was just wondering if you had a story about Vito Rizzuto out of Montreal. I know he did business in New York and I was wondering if you ever ran into him.
The fact that we get Sammy The Bull & Michael Franzese is just absolutely amazing. It’s great to see them doing well, being comfortable, and rewriting history.
“Don Gravano! You shoulda been the boss!” hahah good god I swear there’s not a single story Sammy tells where the characters aren’t praising him as a great man, a real mafioso, a savior, etc. Great storyteller but it’s such a pitiful, sad trait
Hero in every story
Take into consideration anyone talking to Sammy's face is pretty much going to have that approach. If they didn't, it would be foolish. Behind his back, even now, not wise.
I was thinking the same thing that's how u could tell his making it up
Hey Sammy...Ritzi & I send 💖💖💖&Cheer from Texas
