I know Joey B all my life, my father and Joey grew up together on Staten island. Joey had a small gym on Norway Ave, my father took me there when I was around 12 years old. Joey would put on the gloves and box with me, teach me. I never forgot that. Later on in life, I knew who he was and he always was a great guy to me. Helped me numerous times in life. Always was our friend. Knew his daughters, son's. The whole family, A LEGEND on Staten Island.

Joey was like an uncle to me growing up and i loved him He was always laughing and joking around when he was at our house which was almost everyday sometimes I would always be taking rides with him and my stepdad all over NY and NJ and everywhere we went someone would always coming up and showing them the utmost respect and as soon as they left Joe or my stepdad would tell the story about how the broke that same well wishers arm or leg or face or put them in the hospital As a young kid it made no sense to me later on I figured it out I remember one time we were getting gas and the attendant got a little snarky with Joe and Joe got out of the car and gave the guy a beating Just then a couple of cops driving by saw the commotion and pulled in I thought we were all going to get arrested The cops get out Joe was already done kicking ass and walks over to the cops and shakes their hands a within two minutes their all laughing I didn’t know what the hell was going on Then the cops go talk to the attendant who was tending to his injuries The cops come walking back with the attendant and he apologizes to Joe for getting out of line and we go on our way Those were the days

The thing that is really remarkable is how exact,perfectly straight forward honest and precise there storylines are. no matter who is interviewing them they correct it or they will. Even if it makes them look bad or good in there favor. They accept it as long as it is happened as it did.

Thanks for sharing that story Joey was like an uncle to me growing up and I grew up around a lot of the guys you tell stories about I’ve even met your son once or twice He used to run around with some of the younger guys i dealt with
I remember my friend telling me that Joey gave his uncle who was a made guy a beating and that he was in hot water
I didn’t know any of the details until you told the story

I feel like we've slipped into an alternate universe! Who would ever have thought even just 10 years ago that someone like Sammy The Bull Gravano would have a UA-cam channel and be sharing his life stories with us directly! Michael Franzese just had a video with Donnie Brasco aswell. This stuff is gold, I'm loving it! I wonder who the next gangsters will be that start a UA-cam channel? That only downside is that there will never be a bigger name than Sammy Gravano from now on. All the legends are dead or in jail now. At least we have Sammy though, the last of the true, classic, legendary Mafioso.
One complaint though, there's getting to be way, way, way too many ads on the videos lately, it's getting too much.
