For clarification: To get the artifact of Origin, you only need to have the nine artifacts from Risk of Rain 1 enabled for it to spawn. You don't need Dissonance, Prestige, Tempus, or Cognation activated.

For the buttons that need activation they can easily be cheesed via loader base ultimate skill as it hits in a rectangle so you can place on pilon in the top right and one in the bottom left and the buttons are all activated at once. (Haven't tested in the magma barracks)
I got the Artifact of Tempus on my 4th or 5th run so I guess that's pretty good though I can't say it's to my liking since I like the aspect of slowly getting stronger over time
You can also break the ground at Sky Meadow for Artifact of Spite by letting the Parents slam the ground. Tested this theory and it worked out first try👍
Dissonance is so ridiculous to try and get. You have to get all 4 unique pieces in one run (including loops), and you have a 50/50 shot of getting a piece on any given stage. That means you need to hit all 4 specific stages each on one of the allowed variants to get the artifact. So that's a 50/50 shot, followed by another 50/50 shot for the first 2 parts. Then on loop two you either have a 25% or a 50% chance to get a piece at each stage. Once you get down to the last piece you only have a 1 in 4 shot PER LOOP to get the item. Took me over two hours in a single run to get all 4 parts, and I was moving from stage to stage as quickly as possible with a 300 stack of barbed wire to just end everything.
I can also confirm it all doesn't need to be in a single run. I unlocked this pretty easily the first day just collecting anything I could during my runs before I looked anything up.
@@Museko Thats odd, I collected all of them in different runs and havent unlocked it. Even more so, since they respawn every run, and every time you pick the first one of the run it tells you "collect three more", it heavily makes me believe its meant to be collected all in one.
Quick question, can you activate the artifact of distorion without a melee character? I was using Huntress and no matter what I pressed I just couldn't get the button to go down.
The first artifact I got was dissoance which is really stupid. In that run, I hadn't unlocked goat hoof, so I couldn't get the ones with platforming, I was playing commando, so no AoE for the buttons. And I also just didn't get the stage variants for the other artifacts.
Call me dumb but i unlocked a few artifacts but dont know how to use them in a run or beggin one with them, i dont see the option, do i need to defeat providence before unlocking it or what?

I’ve manage to reach the button for the artifact of distortion, but even tho I tried pressing everything, the buttons wouldn’t work: do we need to be 2 playets or something? Do I need a specific caracter to be able to hit the button? I really dont get it
going based on what others have said it seems to need an attack that does some sort of AOE or Explosive damage or a downwards attack so think loader's primary attack, han-d's hammer, attacks with the brilliant behemoth etc,
I am so sad, they don't have artifact of chaos. I just want to enable friendly fire and pvp my friends. This was always a ton of fun to do. Hopoo if you see this please allow a pvp toggle in multi-player.
there's sadly no way to check when you're in a run besides collecting as many of the environment logs as you can and memorizing which variant has which terrain/decoration you can look at each variant in your log book though once you collect the environment logs

ah man this really helped me dude, i was so stuck on some of these.
Also for the artifact of sacrifice, surprisingly loader’s pylons also work to hit the buttons if you can position them properly.
For Artifact of Spirit I'd recommend changing game scaling to 1x instead of 2x. I found that having it zoomed in made it WAY easier.

You need headstompers to activate the button so you can claim the artifact of distortion

that stage is pretty confusing sometimes, you might need to find the way up on the left side of the stage and then walk across to the right side

Somebody help me, to get the artifact of kin you have to do the button puzzle quickly, but what about the others buttons puzzles?
They all have a timer before the button pops back out, so it's good to have movement items to get them done quickly
