New viewer & subscriber here, really enjoyed the podcast and seeing all your knitting. I hope your family member is well and you figure out your sweater a month goal for summer.
oh my goodness your dad sweater! I cannot wait! Also I think your hoya is a hoya pubicalyx. It looks very similar to a carnosa, just longer leaves! It's gorgeous!
Emily here:) love the new name and logo change! And I am with you in that I loose all desire to knit when I am super stressed/have high anxiety but then I feel like I should be knitting so I will force myself to do during those times when really what my body and mind needs is gentle meditation and breathing exercises
Hi Emily - It’s Lisa from California - I met you at La Mercerie on Knit in Public Day! I love the Barber Cords…here’s how I use them - I don’t put all the stitches on the cord - I put the cord on my needles and then shake it all around a bit to distribute the stitches partly on the cord and partly on my needles so I can try it on. Then to get it back on to the needle…bunch the stitches all up as much as you can and they will pop back on to your needle much easier! It’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it it’s really easy! Love the new name…happy knitting!
What a coincidence! I just got back from visiting Madison and had a 4 day conference in that building (it's called Monona Terrace Convention Center and the lake it's right by is called lake Monona). Also, hoyas (for me at least) are some of the easiest plants to take care of!
Love both the re-brand and FO Slanty Stripes Vest! Though you think chaos reigns, your designs are both cheery and calm~the new logo feels the same. Have a great week Emily!
I love your new brand/logo - so inspiring! I don’t even have a logo/intro/outro but you inspired me to think about one and see if I can make it happen. I obviously LOVE your stripey vest, even though I really never wear vests, so this says a lot 😍 I also enjoyed when you talked about your old “108 stitches” podcast name. I had no idea it had to do with baseball so I went to look it up and got to learn a bit about baseball 😂 Your July’s plans sound so lovely and wonderful! I have some exciting events planned too and I agree that the nice weather does wonders to my mood.
Sad I found your channel so late, knitting AND baseball.. that is a dream. I'm from Tacoma and went to many Rainier games but am now an O's fan (I wasn't a serious M's fan and have been indoctrinated by my bf to the O's) Anyway, great podcast, thank you!
ooh yay glad you got the plant app!
I'm just glad to see that Seattle hasn't taken away you're "y'all" 😂 So excited for these changes for you!! 😍
Also I am so so thankful your family is doing better!
I sooo want to knit your dad sweater !

Oooh thank you, Stacy! I bet you're right that it's a pubicalyx, I definitely think of you as a hoya expert ☺️
I like your new name!

Oh my gosh! We share a birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Chatty….gracious. 😂♥️
Love the new name and logo! I feel like it captures what I love about your channel, as well as the kind of energy I want in my own knitting life ❤.
Another great podcast. Love the new name and your new designs. Thanks for all you share and for the inspiration.
I like the Purl Strings brand over the Knitting Barber cords. I have both and the Purl Strings are much smoother to use.
Love everything about all of this! The rebrand, the logo, the STRIPEY SWEATER!!! You're killing it!
Also I think the name of the pattern should just be Dad Sweater!
Idea 1 - Norman holding yarn ball with knitting needles
Idea 2 - Norman holding knitting needles in his teeth
Rachelle in Seattle 😍
Such stunning designs Emily! Can't wait to knit them all. Glad to hear about your stable recovery ❤️
I'm sooo excited about your new designs Emily!! Love everything you're working on rn!
Thank you, Mel!! ❤️

So excited for you and the new iteration of this podcast! Welcome, Gently Chaotic Knits!
I love your projects - I was wondering if you would do a design with the shanty stripes with sleeves? It is so amazing!
I don't have any plans to add sleeves to this design at least for now!
I want to knit a sweater a month this year too. But I count tees. Change it to one garment a month and then you’re good. 😃
Just a suggestion to maybe set up your camera a little closer to you so it doesn't take too long to refocus. Love your new name too!
Where's the pattern for this sweater

Will My Dad’s Sweater come in men’s sizes also?
Yes! The pattern is definitely unisex, and will have an inclusive range of size options!
I see a collection “ my dad’s sweater”, “my brother’s sock “ “my husband’s scarf “…..❤️🧶
