Basic knowledge of the trades (or even how to use a hammer, for that matter) is dying out with younger generations but they're such invaluable skills. We've quite literally saved $10s of thousands by being able to do repairs and renovations ourselves and we want to pass those skills on to our daughters.
It's good you are teaching her how to do these kinds of things, so that she will know how to do them when she's older. I remember my brother teaching me how to fix holes in walls when I was younger, now I'm great at it and I love doing it
Being able to do at least minor repairs and maintenance on your own property is such a priceless skill to have. We're happy you had someone to teach you the same! ❤️
