With your own produce you are providing the absolute best for your family. Along with the organic food you source outside you are giving your children the best health. Totally worth it. I love how every family member has such individual strengths and interests too. Your homeschooling method is the perfect way of doing it, creating a love of life-long learning. Such a great video with such good advice! A beautiful family.

When my daughter was growing up she taught herself so many things. She taught herself how to draw - like really good drawing. She taught herself crocheting and knitting (she’s got some beautiful clothing pieces as a result). She also taught herself jewelry making (well, I did pay for one jewelry making class that was several sessions, but she took things from there). For all these skills, she would find information on the internet and learn from that.

I hope you find land that meets your needs and can make homesteading even more successful! Life skills are important for kids to learn so now when their adults they’re not helpless! I taught my daughter basic cooking skills when she was little and now that she’s 13 she can make meals for herself and can wash her clothes. I love all your beautiful siding on the house!

If you can and have the space……. Plant your crops with the max spacing, they’ll fight less for water. Got that tip from david the good, and the book water wise gardening by Steve Solomon. Great recourses for gardening in tougher circumstances

Goats. I relate to your opinion on them. We had them when I was growing up. I think my parents liked them better then I did, but I got so tired of chasing them back in whenever they got out. They constantly escaped out 5 ft fence.
I can sew but I don't sew clothes anymore. I also thrift most of our clothes.

Julie, I love the way you try to help you husband speak correct English. It makes me cringe to listen to people speak, especially some UA-camrs. My grandsons gave me the nickname of “grammar police”. Keep it up because you are teaching your children because they are listening to you. ❤

I hate when they say boyez and girlez for boys and girls! No one says may I use the boyez room! Also me and him! My son-in-law had to learn English as a small boy and knows all of the rules! The other person is first and you are always second! Many home schooled kids are never taught the rules! He was sent to a Catholic school and the nuns did an excellent job! His grammar is perfect! I hear my sweet little teacher repeating the rules as we were at the chalk board diagramming sentences! I scream at news people when their grammar is wrong! It used to be what comes out of your mouth when you speak is evidence of what kind of education you had! Y'all makes me cringe! They are proud of speaking like a hick?

I envy you for having access to such good food (I know it’s a tremendous amount of work) and I laud you for raising your animals so humanely. I have to rely on food labels that say organic and humanely raised and I always hope those labels are truthful. But one thing I will not do as a follower of Christ is buy animal products from factory farms because they are torture chambers. It breaks my heart to know that so many animals who nourish us are treated so badly.

The other person or persons are more important and should always be first! There is no such thing as boyez or girlez! They are getting possessive nouns confused! Using 's for possession makes them think they have to pronounce it separately and they don't have to! Rules of grammar are not taught apparently in most home schooled homes. I ask my grandchildren and they know the rules of grammar and will correct themselves in the middle of a sentence! There is nothing like a good teacher correcting your grammar mid sentence!
