This video is literally only the second time I've seen a Cort bass. The first is sitting in my music room.
awsome!! / what pedal did you use?
Bass is like eyebrows, you don’t know how important they are until they’re gone
well that's one way to say it
Your avater proves this statement
nederlands?
And justice for all album will vouch fot this conment. The album sounds so much better with bass!!
Thats so deep 😟
The most under appreciated instrument of all time.
meseyc not really
Accordion?
No dildo flute
Nah the piccolo. No one plays that shit
As much as bass is unappreciated, I feel like cowbell takes the cake here.
I play bass and everyone’s like “oh nice guitar” “why does your guitar only have 4 strings” “what is a bass?”
Ur in ma mind břòóôõöøőœ

I can't stand when someone call my BASS a fricken guitar,ITS NOT A GUITAR ITS A BASS ,GET IT RIGHT!
Why does your bass have 6 strings?

My friend literally asked what does the bass do and i'm like:
:(
It only adds the best part to the music...
@@pants6416 yeah but stand-alone it sounds like sh*t
@@xxxod that's were you're wrong
Galaxi uh...
The bass is the best instrument ever. It has the most pleasing sounds across all genres
I always love the sound of the bass for some reason, specifically in the lower notes. Keep on truckin!
And it also helps make songs sound good
@@kryph u cant hear us when we are there but u notice when we are gone
Truth!!!
Yes!
Two years ago I watched this video. Three days later I bought a bass and have been playing ever since. Thank you for inspiring me to pick up the bass guitar.
ı m playing drum with this video awesome

That’s great you’ve been learning Bass. Could I ask you a few questions?

People will end up realising that most of the iconic sounds are actually coming from bass and not a guitar.
But there not though
Depends on the song
The reason those riffs are so iconic is because the bass beers them up
Look, bass lines are the foundation of a good song. No bass line, not a memorable song. But guitars have legendary TONES. Because they use a lot of effects
More than guitar is definitely wrong, but bass does have more iconic riffs than people realize
Not a ‘lead’ bass line, but Hotel California’s bass line drives the mood of that song perfectly.
That song sounds totally flat without the bass. You don't realize how important it is until it's taken out.
My car has pretty good bass subs so i love blasting that song in my car
Another one bites the dust
@@Adambenhmida0000 That would be unrecognizable without the bass, most definitely.
Fax
That Gorillaz Feel Good Bass intro is so recognizable yet underrated
Fire flies
@@Gator_nit Oh yeah, the baseline in Fireflies is absolutely golden
@Sergio Balaguera Yes, every bassist. But go up to some rando on the street and ask them to hum the guitar in that song and they'll hum the bass every time.
SO TRUE
The baseline for Dangerous by Joywave is also that
Anybody else looking up the bass cuz it’s their favorite instrument and they want it for Christmas or is that just me
Same hah
I’m getting a new telecaster but man... I really don’t know if I picked the right instrument🥲
that’s be me

I HAD A FEELING FEEL GOOD INC WAS GONNA BE IN HERE AND OH BOY IT FEELS GOOD

Because it’s clearly Murdoc from phase one
iconic :)
OBVIOUSLY, I hate to admit but I clicked on the video mainly because I had a very strong feeling feel good inc would be here...
Bruh frfr
I love how he goes from stand by me to for whom the bell tolls lol
Like no mask to COVID-19
John Deacon, master !
M65 F I think his greatness is overlooked because of his laid back personality (compared to the other three guys in Queen). His musicianship is fantastic.

At first, I got triggered when he played Under Pressure instead of Another One Bites the Dust because I mean, let's be real, but the ending saved me
ikrrrrr
Wish dragon attack was played as well it's just👌
Another one bites the dust was played at the end
Same I was thinking “if he doesn’t play a queen song.. I’ll be upset” 😂😂🎸
Ι would get triggered if instead of Under Pressure, he wrote Ice Ice baby.

I thought that was the Bikini Bottom Police Department theme for a second

bro ikr it’s so sexy istg
I love your pfp ;)
HELP I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AND SAME
I'm a regular 6-string guitar player and always took bass for granted until I started adding my own bass parts into home recording mix tracks. I quickly learned that the bass has the ability to change the feel and mood of any rhythm and melody part simply by alternating the bass lines and notes that are being ridden on underneath the rest of the tracks. It's changed my outlook of the instrument and I'm begrudgingly starting to admit that it's the most important part in any mix, which is quite humbling being a dedicated 6-string player.
Where is The Chain by Fleetwood Mac
Timmy Spitty the only reason I watched this video was to see that song
Even better would be Rhiannon
Mrs. Murder by AFI?
NOTE: I do not know when I will make another videos due to a serious illness. I really do apologize for that. Cheers Guys and Girls \m/
get well soon mate
Paranormal Guitar Channel feel better soon I really enjoyed the video
Paranormal Guitar Channel Rest up man, get well soon
Get well soon!
I hope you get well soon
Everyone: Noice guitar!
me: ITS A BASSSSS
Bass guitar. Its a bass guitar unless you have an upright which doesn't make sense in this case because in this video its a bass guitar and someone was referring to it as a guitar
AS true but it also is a type of bass
When somebody go to my home and see my bass Say - OHHH YOU HAVE A GUITAR?! CAN I PLAY IT???!!? PLSSSS, when i Say to this person - That not a guitar, This is bass- W-What is bass?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bass_guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass, is the lowest-pitched member of the *guitar* family.
yours "everyone" are sheeple
As a bass player, I must say we have the best parts in songs

You mean fake queen who got into them because of the crappy 2018 movie
@@H.E.M. I agree with this, other than the fact that you called the movie crappy, it was amazing.
Top 4 in no order:
-Feel Good Inc.
-Money
-Peace Sells
-For Whom the Bell Tolls
Agreed
And hysteria ^^
come together, another one bites the dust, billie jean, feel good inc
I was like “if I don’t see feel good inc or at least one queen song it’s about to go down” and luckily both of them were there your a legend dude :)
2:48 Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
3:02 James Brown - I Feel Good
Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
Looks like Murdock said: "ok, this song is cool, but i don't feel good, 2-D make it sad!"
Yuri Lima - what’s even better about it is that canonically Noodle produced this song; so I guess she didn’t feel too good either 🤷🏾♀️
I'm sooo happy that there are 2 Queen songs in this video because *Deacy is a fucking legend*
and he's a cute little bean only Queen fans will understand me.
One dump one turd two tits John Deacon

He can't play like Chris Squire
What no Peace Sells -Megadeth. Come on guys!
This makes me want to learn bass more than I already do.
Do it! If you don't want to get a teacher, you can definitely to at home, learn how to read tabs and use UA-cam for lessons. It is soo fun to play an instrument and jam along your with your favorite bands and maybe your own someday.
this dude plays bass like guitare, don't us those mistakes to learn.
Clement Morice what do you mean?
JUST DO IT!!!!
DS, is your name, Nike??
Wow, the tone of My friend of Misery is incredible. Sounds just like the album.
Also, Journey’s “Stone in Love” bass line is pretty damn sweet.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
This is a bass
Use 4th finger too
Yeah, although the idea for the video is nice, I think he's got a good bass technique
Scott Spray is all you need next time to show u how to play on all strings and his technique is second to none.
.
I’m the 444th like
RHCP bit made me a bit sad
I'm a guitarrist. A Bassist is my "Wingman". They're irreplaceable and essencial.
Niceeee!
Thank you for being the only bass player I've ever seen or heard play for whom the bell tolls correctly. You have the wah/fuzz and everything.
Why am I here? I'm not a bassist...
Shane Runyan Same 🙄
Shane Runyan I am
Timo Kapitein me too
Shane Runyan Me and You brudda
+Shane Runyan you don't have to be a bassist you dumb fuck
When I heard Feel Good Inc. I feelt happy, because that bass line is so famous. glad to see some RHCP on here as well.
The bassline in Dark Necessities is also really really good!
Props for including the classic Peter Gunn theme popularly heard in the Blues Brothers! 😎
Was surprised to hear I Feel Good and Livin on a Prayer here-never fully appreciated how much of a role the bass plays in those classics.
Honorable mention here has to be given to The Real Me by The Who!! That whole song is just an ongoing bass solo!
Why does your guitar have 4 strings?? 🤔🤔🤔
Cromulon Blue It's a bass guitar. Bass guitars have 4 strings.
Shivam Pastel unless is a five or six string bass
Woosh! He was making a joke
r/feelsgoodinc
Cromulon Blue Nice joke
roses are red
we all blink
i never expected
FEEL FRICKING GOOD INC
GoatPrinceWBG yeah same here
I clicked hoping for Feel Good Inc haha
Yeeeesss
Do, do-do-do do do, Do, do-do-do do do
It's the song that made me play bass the only video on my channel is of me going to see gorillaz 😂😂
I honestly love bass than any other instrument. It has one of the best sounds.
Weirdly the bass is easily the best part of smoke on the water.
I came here just expecting to hear John Deacon's iconic bass lines, you saved the best for last I see!
Also, this video made me remember I love Interpol's Evil bass line is awesome too!
yeah hes the basst
Kxloux oof cheesy jokes... oops I just made one myself
Dude interpols is amazing!!
He’s not the best wtf
@@user-xw6uh3yp7g he's in the top 3, definitely 1st imho
Is it just me or is queen building a fanbase like BTS thirty years after its existence. The Bohemian Rhapsody movie is probably the reason tho. Partly
It's making me a little uncomfortable with how fast and out of hand the Queen fandom is getting.. But it's nice to know that Queen is still appreciated! Out of my 18 years of being a Queenie, I've never seen the fandom this active haha
Well, it was bound to happen, with the movie being such a big hit. But luckily obsessions go away quickly, and hopefully in the end we’ll be left with a fresh batch of new fans of Queen, which is always a good thing!
the movie actually made a lot of posers too..only a fan because of trend and thats sad..
Wutqweriness Z it’s strange and I don’t like it lol
or may be, it is just because of the simple fact, that Queen was a group of musical geniuses, who wrote music-history ;)
I love bass 👍
for anyone who likes bands with a dominant bass, check out "The stone roses" amazing band. two of my personal favourites are 'I wanna be adored' and ' i am the Resurrection'
I checked them out and they're pretty cool.. Not completely hooked but they're going into my playlist.
Primus as well
Yes love this band !
Also Primus and Red Hot Chili Peppers
This guy: plays every well known song to a bass player.
My friends: Hey, play something for us!!!!
Me: plays twinkle twinkle little star.
I have played for four years and that’s the first thing that comes to my head Lol.
All of these are great basslines, but I feel like Can't Stop is pretty damn recognizable
Just like the one from All Around the World.
True, both are great basslines anyways
Evan Rumbagh most rhcp bass lines are instantly recognisable
the refrain of tell me baby is even better :)
every RHCP songs :D
2:49
Don’t mind me just playing this a few hundred times
3:51 john deacon getting the recognition he deserves
YESS
Dumbvids byme john 🌝🌝
The baseline for Livin on a Prayer is cooler during the chorus
du-du-du-du-du DUDUDUD DIDIDID DA DII TU DAA DAAN we've got each other and that's what matters now DU DU UD DU DU
I'm very grateful that Tool was recognised.
Swamp Song.....
Steve Nejezchleba Swamp Song is genius, but as a bassist the kne that to this day is the most impressive to me is the 10,000 Days licks that are so fast that Justin has to finger pick instead of using his trademark pick style. As far as iconic goes, it's definitely between Schism and Sober though just cause those are their most radio-played songs
Corn im sorry, i didnt happen to recognise you..
I watched this video a few years ago, and I had never listened to Tool (except for those songs on guitar hero 4). Now it's one of my favorite bands, and this was the video that made me want to listen to the band. Thank you for that!
Love how this video is titled (Instantly recognisable) then gives you the title of the at the start of each riff. Thanks.
Before this, I got a 104 minute ad.

eltunas770 yes i love that baseline
There's no such thing as thunder it's just cliff Burton playing his bass in heaven
The bass line from 'Tempus Fugit' by Yes from the 'Drama' album (1980) is amazing as well, one of my favorites.
Red hot chili peppers-dark necessities. Anyone?

killing in the name RATM
PTTM2006 yeah! and bombtrack
PTTM2006 yes, that and hysteria are two of the best bass lines ever
PTTM2006 Every song from RATM actually xD
Bulls on Parade, Renegades of Funk.. basically any RATM song
douglasmlinder,
You can dislike their politics, but the music is still good.
Definitely enjoyed the selection, and the clean tones of the instrument itself!
Thought about giving up on learning an instrument, than I saw this video and have my heart set on bass
Great list. "Roundabout" by Yes has insane bassline.
A pentatonic masterpiece!
R.I.P. Chris Squire
Craig Parse Yeah man. Chris Squire was awesome. Miss him.
*to be continued
Greg M. It sounds insane until you play it
Is that not a keyboard?
The lack of The Less I know the Better by Tame Impala upsets me greatly
Ikr
It's actually a guitar being played for that riff, Kevin Parker distorted it until it sounded like a bass.
@hawtchick69 bruh is it really that hard to type
@hawtchick69 gay isnt an insult and literally how much time did you save by typing like that? Use words
mind mischief has a better bassline
This man makes it seem so effortlessly and I been playing for almost 3 years
Was looking for Muse - Hysteria because I can't remember the song name but knew it must've been iconic, thanks! 🙌
Thank you for including the Beatles, they’re my favorite band

Come Together is probably the most obvious choice.
Lmao I was just thinking “Come together has a great bass line” RIGHT after I tought that come together came omg
Right after i read this, that song came
Joel Ananthan right after I read your reply a mariachi band appeared in my closet and played come together
Best bassline in rock history
I’ve been playing the base for about 4 days now and I know how to do house of the rising sun and I love it! I played the guitar for about a week before that for music class and my music teacher told me I’d do better on the base and he was right.
“NiCe GuItAr”

Sorry guys for not including other amazing bass tracks due to my lack of time and exams at university... :/

I was waiting for Money by Pink Floyd!!! 😂😂
Brayden Haley Its included....
Yaelra R. Reread the comment as if the person knew that. It makes sense in both contexts.
Moneys good but in my opinion One Of Theses Days, Pigs The Three Different Ones and Young Lust have way better bass.
True but they're not as famous as Money, perhaps next to ABBitW P2 and CN, the most recognizable Pink Floyd songs.
I can tell
I used to have that same Cort bass. Loved it.

Sweet Emotion and Ramble On could have subbed in for a couple of these, but not complaining, great video
Getting a bass guitar soon, honestly this video excites me even more to learn.
