It is indeed a fantastic song of this fabulous group/band I’ve got most of their albums on Vinyl 33 RPM,cassette, CD and now Spotify. My all time favourite is Nights in White Satin, reminds me of my courting days when I met and then married the Mrs. Some 50 years ago. Never tire listening to it.
Still shots from this video session can be found on the back side of the sleeve for "In Search of the Lost Chord". So that probably dates this as Spring or Early Summer 1968.
Dear Stargate, I think that you and I attended different concerts... I have attended all of their Concerts that I could. I find that they really hold their own performing live, versus their album performances. In fact, they are one of the few bands that do. I always feel that I got much more than the cost of my ticket, and would be very happy if they decided to play on into the morning! Every time they performed at the Hollywood Bowl, they really rocked the place, especially during "Gypsy" and Question"! Since the Band is no more, you can be happy playing your LP's, but the rest of us feel that a beautiful era has ended...
Sometimes, it isn't a Band's choice to leave. A lot of venues are increasingly pulling the plug early. Worst case was the 2018 Induction Ceremony at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was a complete debacle and an insult.
The Moody Blues are an outstanding studio and album producing band because of their awesome sound engineer. Sadly, the Moody Blues never excelled in live concert productions. I attended their 50th anniversary Days of Future Past tour at the Houston Smart Center paying a whopping $176.00 for a single ticket and it was a yawn fest. No encore, no thanking the fans, they couldn't wait to get out of there. The roadies were packing up their stuff before they even left the stage. Save your concert ticket money and just buy their albums. Don't get mad, you were warned.
I saw Justin Hayward in Seattle and he put on a marvelous show and did a meet and greet with the audience after. It was a magical evening and he couldn’t have been more gracious.
Stargate.. You are entitled to your opinion but you are wrong, the MB's actually excelled live. You cant be a real fan either because you spelled their album wrong. It's Passed not Past. Listen to the live performance from 1970 Isle of Wight concert. 600,000 people groovin' to their sounds.
The Moody blues are a superb live act.. just look at the video here on UA-cam from red rocks.. live at Albert Hall.. it would definitely show that you are in the very very small minority of people that feel this way.. maybe you saw a bad show I don’t know, but I do know that they’ve been doing it this long and if they didn’t do shows, they wouldn’t be doing it for this long
2023 - 55 years later....wow...💙💙💙

Justin is still performing live with his own band. He’s still awesome, of course!! ❤

Atta girl Gracie!
Is that Grace Slick narrating at the beginning? Is this from some sort of History of Rock & Roll doc?
Sounds like a good guess. I thought it was a guy named Tony Brown who owns this channel.
Yes it is!
@@chrissmith6827 Do you know the name of the documentary?
electric guitars not plugged in. vocals lip synched. c'mon.
