My love for Ginastera is similar to Hindemith. Both are able to come across as pedestrian composers working with the traditional forms and yet it is modern, inventive and satisfying and does not bring the audience to the edge of a riot.
The same thinking exactly, man! I don't know why quartets by Ginastera reminded me suddenly the Hindemith's music! Maybe because it has evident logic and clear intonation blocks in its structure and is not so abstract? And what do you think about Schonberg?) I detest it all... 😊

What a passion and what a drive in this great quartet!

I love it...I know, it is not conventional music...but for those who like impressionism this is a nice work

The second time (Adagio) begins with a citation of The Unanswered Question of Charles Ives, used as a theme.
