funny thing is, i made 5 characters, 3 are in act 3, 2 in act 2 and one still in act one. i never done the final fight, nor did i fought Raphael. but due to my player ADHD and hoarding i have surplus of everything for the fight with the brain. thanks for explaining and giving tips.
the problem with only using globe of invulnerability is that you can still get stunned meaning the illithid channelling the crown can still be stunned OR the people concentrating on the globe can be stunned and then your left in the open Darkness or darkness arrows are way better as they blocked the enemies line of sight meaning they cant target you so if you want maximum safety Channel crown > darkness > globe as trying to channel is not possible while blinded Also invisibility is broken aswell when invis the tentacles dont spawn or attack you meaning you can just walk/fly over without taking damage so id reccomend getting darkness arrows and invis pots aswell as they are REALLY clutch (honour mode tip) for when you can attack the brain disintegrate scrolls are really good as you can use the once the brain goes invulnerable to the damage types last taken so what you can do is Regular attacks/spells (no force damage) > disintegrate > repeat using spells like cloud kill are also good or high damage scrolls for a damage type your squad doesnt use is also good
I just used one globe and got stunned but removed it with greater restoration, using several globes as in this video may make the difference. I also had the iron flask from "find the missing shipment" but didn't get round to using it. I only use explorer mode.
From the POV of lone wolf tactician (honor mode wasnt out yet) incredibly unoptimized berserker barbarian who just finished their first playthrough 2 days ago: Hardest fight by far (act 3 only, act 2 had most of the hard fights imo) was ansur, followed by cazador, followed by orin who wasnt even hard just a pain in the ass. Raphael was a joke and the netherbrain fight was just as easy, except raphael was actually fun to fight.
I cleared ansur in the first try without any preemptive tactics but half my party was dead. Which doesnt normally happen in my balanced run thru. I think if i were to do ansur again, I would stock every member with hold monster scrolls then pelt him to death.
@@SaltyNaughtySorcerer Thats the beauty of this game. Theres no fight thats the "hardest", it all depends on the person and how they approach the fight.
orin is a joke without the constant dmg reduction. i love ansur. makes it gives you 2 awesome rewards and so much lore. and cazador is just annoying. he has 20-30 minions and is just an annoying wizard that you have to kill in 5 turns if you have astarion
ive not had a problem with this boss or raphael yet. The problem with last boss is i dont know when to use the reinforcements are you able to just call every one in one round? or do you have to use actions or bonus actions and do them over time? I've beaten the game a couple times now and not once used reinforcements.
There is a icon button above your usual hot bar on the left side which is for the ally call. Allies can only be called one at a time. So you can call 4 within a turn.
Btw, I don't think this is a bug or anything. Karlach Berserker raged 20 strength thrower is just absurdly powerful by the time i reach raphael. if she has higher initiative than raphael, he never gets a shot off. i use karlach to throw him all over the room until i've killed everyone else.
Wait, you didn't cheese it at all. Those were totally legit actions. I was kinda hoping for a Bouchy fondue fight with funny glitches and broken exploits.

Oh i have tried with GLobe of Inv several times already in balanced mode and I havent been stunned. I was just afraid of dispel magic .

this whole game is just bs...it was fun then just bs fights, which kills the game.
