I hope everyone is having an awesome holiday! Next year is sure to bring a lot of great things to this channel, so your continued support is always greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching!
Pacland, I loved that in the arcades about 30 yrs ago. I remember when the SNES had just been released and I was walking around some shops with my parents, clocked the SNES display, as soon as we got back from holiday I went straight to my local game shop and exchanged my Megadrive with about 20 games for the SNES with Super Mario. I was well happy😎😎
I might visit Tokyo (and hopefully other places in Japan) next year, so seeing these sort of videos really give me a good sense of what to expect and maybe where to go. I see that a lot of good shops are really tucked away there. Let's see how it goes with the language barrier and all :)
I was there last month and they were promoting pokemon lets go eevee and pikachu outside of the sofmap. I also did some game hunting there for some friends inside there.
I visited Tokyo for just over a week last month and my favourite shops for cheap deals was definitely Suruguya. People recommended Mandrake but I didn’t find the deals to be as good as Suruguya. I got a boxed Donkey Kong 64 for the equivalent of $4/5 in excellent condition from Suruguya and some other games.
Your game hunting videos are always so nice Jim. They makes me want to go back to Japan, and all the store you went I did too because since my first trip to Tokyo your videos were my retro gaming reference for where to go in Akiba. So thank you, you have been a great help and great source of intertainment for me since the past years ! Merry Christmas :)
I lived in Japan many years ago and it's crazy how prices have risen. I was fortunate enough to have this huge thrift store in the countryside where I lived with so many retro games and when I felt like Tokyoing it was only a 2 hours train ride away so I would often go on weekends. I miss Japan so much. Nice video man!
Great video, makes me want to go back to Japan so bad! Sure, it's easy to buy the games online but there's nothing like seeing all those game shops in person!
I wouldn't mind seeing a virtual boy 2. Instead of cardboard "accessories". Great vid. Love how clean and organized Japan is. Appeals with the OCD in me. Happy holidays everyone.
Cool man, I'll be there in a couple days doing the same thing. I'm just hoping to get maybe 2 or 3 high end games CIB, but it's always nice to search around and buy 1 or 2 "experiments" too. Also going to Game Center Mikado in Takadanobaba
