Is it just me or at 2:37 is there some audio crossover in the background?
Sounded like Andrew Huberman
First elk hunt for me last season in 22N first late rifle (NR with 5 points), Scouting a few days early pays off- I was able to find a spot a few miles off the trail that held a good number of elk and by day 3 of the hunt I was able to get on a nice 6x7 290" bull. As a flat lander this was the toughest terrain I have ever hunted, the pack out was brutal but the memories will last a life time!
Thanks for the videos that speak truth and give great advise for any hunters willing to listen!
Congrats that's awesome and a great bull for 22N!
Really appreciate your channel and sharing the knowledge! Im out of Kingman, AZ. Went for late archery 22N and got it 🙏
Congrats!!
Ok Tim, this is my last question… I promise. You have been gracious with answering questions. It is greatly appreciated.
I am going to go ahead and apply for a late rifle elk hunt this fall in Arizona. With 8 points I can possibly(or definitely) draw 6A or 22N.
Which of those 2 units is best for a NR that is having to hunt solo and is hunting elk in Arizona for the first time. I have had experience and success in Colorado for elk in the past so I know how difficult it can be logistics wise. My main goals are having a good time and safety.
I have an idea that I will need to be in the canyons or right under the rim in that area in order to be successful so just wanted to be realistic about safety while being solo and wanting to know which unit is easier to learn as a first timer.
Thank you
Arizona is not like other western states that have a lot of roadless and wilderness areas both 6a and 22n have some steep canyons and both offer good quality elk populations…I think if youve hunted solo before then you should be good to go…be ready for some hunt pressure and to think outside the box to find mature bulls…good luck in the draw!
Great information! If only I had someone to show me the ropes, archery elk hunt is my dream hunt.
Hey man thanks for all these videos that you do they definitely help out a ton while searching for different units to put in for. Also, I was wondering as to why is 22s harder to draw than 22n? Is it just cause of the tag allotment? And which unit would you say has better spot n stalk terrain for the late archery hunt do you think? Thanks again for the work you put in to get these videos made for us!
22s has really low tags and that’s why it’s a tougher draw…the majority of the elk live in 22N…IMO 22N is better for archery spot and stalk/opportunity👍
This was my first choice.
When showing the late Rifle hunt odds, there are two hunts that start Nov 29th with 6 points is it 22 N at 40% or is that 22S
Yeah that’s 22s & 22n they both show up as 22…22s has lower draw odds
What are the odds for cow elk in 22n
Not sure exact stats on that hunt. But over 50% odds.
